I am from Mexico and for years I've been trying to legally immigrate to the US by the official means (my business have been shut down by the cartels twice and I've been threatened so many times that I've just had enough)

The Venezuelans are fleeing socialism. Socialism in Venezuela is not the utopia the Democrats and left want you to believe. Example: After socialism was enacted in Venezuela, food was so scarce they ate their pets and zoo animals. They lined up for 10 hours a day for an egg or small loaves of bread. They were grateful for the extremely small handouts. Prior to socialism they were a vibrant, wealthy country. Do some research on why these people are fleeing the hell hole it's become.

It's sad, but in many ways but a lucky moment that non-citizens see the ugly truth. Hope still exists here for many of us. Everytime a dem gets into office (within the last 40 years) we lose some ground. I'm hoping that events like this will begin to wake some of those that are asleep.
