I'm so glad I found your channel and at the most perfect time. I have been absolutely DISGUSTED watching RUclipsrs open expensive Advent calendars. The cheapest bs junk that they charge exorbitant prices has really gotten me thinking about what I'm willing to consume, purchase, gift, etc. I absolutely LOVE your channel ❤
It looks like either a black feathered bustle from Balenciaga (?) worth $7233.00 or a Mourning Sporran from a Black Watch unit which would be priceless...or it's the head of an old toilet brush worth about $1.24
It’s either a bit of trash from a party or it’s something they had to throw out at a craft store because it fell off a bolt of pre-ruffled fabric or was left over after a class. It is 10¢, and that’s me being overly generous cuz you can buy tulle for like a dollar a roll some places.
Oh my ... bless their hearts 😂😅😊 i thought it was a dress or a skirt n maybe £130 ain't too bad in the grand scheme but for a little frilly thing .... come on 😂
5 min, $1 in fabric (they won't sell smaller) and not even need to pull out my sewing machine for 1. I've even DONE this. Took less than 5 hours to make 40, including bathroom runs and snack breaks. How do they keep getting suckers...
You are absolutely right, I'm off up to Scotland in the week after New Year to help my sister with 3 rescue horses who are being delivered. I want to bring the young two on in bitless bridles and the price of Bosal nosebands is staggering but they last a long time and you can't skimp on them. Therefore I taught myself how to make leather headstalls because, you just need to cut slits and weave the leather through, nothing difficult. Like you, I would rather get the pieces and use my own craft knife to cut the slits, rather than pay 70 to 90 pounds for the exact same thing, and the leather I got is much more supple and good quality! Of course it could be said that being Scottish I have moths in my wallet, and theres something in that but theres also the fact that I'm nobodys fool lol! I hope you and your loved ones have a healthy and happy 2025 xxx
It’s one of those fluffy caterpillars that you’re not supposed to touch. It’s technically free but if you do touch it, you get a $100,000 hospital bill.
Omg, it is the first time I guessed correctly. What it is and Wolf & Badger, I guessed the price at 200$. Almost perfect, good Lord. I need to spend less time on this channel.
This is a "jabot". The tulle isn't expensive, the feathers might add up - I believe that is ostrich. Ofc it's going to have a lol margin of it's on wolf&badger. In business setting the price of this is: price of tulle + price of ostrich feather strips, pins, thread, skilled labour (to piece it together, and it does require skill of sewing with feathers) + factor added to any item that goes to cover regular overhead that comes with being a manufacturer (space, taxes, electric etc) ... roughly....
We used to make scrubbies from nylon netting, scrunched together and tied with string. We’d use them to wash dishes. Softer versions are made today to bathe/shower with.
I save the bags from onions and put them together to make scrubbers. While it saves money and keeps plastic (at least temporarily) out of landfills, I can see I've been wrong. I should be saving them to make into expensive garments.
we make something similar and it goes around someones neck (we manufacture and sell them direstly to costumers or other companies) especially for carenval in Basilej (Switzerland)...for around 2-3euros/piece (+we can costum made them-color, lenght, how stiff the tulle is...)
It looked like a bobble (hairtie) initially which I thought would be cute but useless. It would really nicely as a frill especially to fem something up but the fact these guys couldn't be arsed to bring out the sowing machine (knowing they pay about 5 quid each for these, I'm including fabric, factory rent and labour) is just insulting. I cannot get over that this thing is held together with safety pins!! 😂
I believe the correct name for such an accessory is "Jabot" but I understand that's too foreign of a word for wolf& badger's customer base to pronounce.
That's maybe 5 bucks to make, and that's if you go to a sewing or hobby store, if Dollar Tree has some tulle in their craft section it'll be even cheaper.
My guess is a hair accessory, because I don't see how it could be wearable. I'm not fashion savvy enough where it's sold... But I should have guessed 😅
I was seriously leaning toward a frill tube dress which I actually think that wouldn't be too terrible if it were trimmed up a bit & tailored to a person's body shape, with some satin/velvet at the top & bottom to reduce itchiness. I don't like it as a frill though, unless it's for a very large man or very androgynous person. Too poofy imo. And the price is ok for a dress but not a frill- I could make that for under $3 ffs. And dobit better sheesh
At this point I am convinced that Wolf & Badger is trolling rich people to see just how little effort they can put in and still get the rich idiots to pay for it.
That is a goth swiffer duster
I thought it was a goth towel brush part
Goth swiffer is what I would want as my cleaner. (I swear swiffers are so shit😂😂)
Lmaoooo
I love that answer! That’s epic! And it’s DEFINITELY what it is!! 😂
Exactly this!! And as a goth I now need this for all of my swiffer dusting needs.
I thought you were going to say, "If you want this, go to a fabric shop, buy some tuille and make it".
Honestly yeah if you've got a sewing machine you can make it in maybe 10 minutes (idk about hand sewing though, I think tule would be very annoying)
@@Lacmene8 Hand sewing tulle is very annoying, especially if you have to gather it into ruffles first.

Less than $5 worth of material and about 5 minutes worth of work...
The mark up is ridiculous

I'm so going to untangle my old loofas and find my box of safety pins.
Money! Come to mama
I laughed way too hard at this 😂
Happy new year, internet stranger 🎉❤
Too funny!
😅 brilliant
You need to give it a good brand name. How about… husky and trash panda?
Pro tip: you wouldn’t even need a sewing machine to make this yourself. You could gather it and sew on the safety pins by hand.
I do this every day.
You could literally just use safety pins to hold it together and not have to sew. It's about $7 worth of materials.
I thought they used bread ties 😂
A toilet brush from wolf & badger
Clearly a dryer vent cleaner. Costs $~10 at the local hardware store. Except theirs have something to push/pull it through the vent with.
I was going to say a Swiffer duster.
Sorta looks like a chimney sweep brush
Kinda looks like a toilet brush.
It’s a replacement pad for all of those things! And so much more!
Step right up! Step right up! You’ll never believe what we have in store!
😂😂😂

I love how Maggie says to tell someone on etsy 'I would like to have this please.'

Exactly my thought.
I just commented this. Looks like you beat me to it. 😅
That's what I thought it was.😮😅😂

A thousand dollar hair tie.
My thoughts were:
1. A dress
2. A glove
3. A hair tie/scrunchy
It's a goth Swiffer!
A flue brush, $25 @ Home Depot
It’s either a bit of trash from a party or it’s something they had to throw out at a craft store because it fell off a bolt of pre-ruffled fabric or was left over after a class.

My mind went to hardware tool and not human tool, but equally obtuse.

It's a back thing you wear, like butterfly wings. It's meant to make you look like you've not yet metamorphosised.
Ok. I was wrong. It's worn on the opposite side of the body. But I was close! 😂

Hair accessory, $200 from Wolf & Badger.
You were sooo close!
This is what happens when home economics isn't taught to youth anymore. 😳
“These are your lungs after smoking.”
A new age feather duster?
A Eagles fan? You now have my undying love! 😍
Safety pins? That’s it? Talk about cheap. Geez.
The loose thread on that image really got me. $134 and it’s falling apart on the product image, let alone before you’ve wrestled it onto a garment.
Spot on on Wolf & Badger.

Dior it costs 350 and it’s a scrunchie
It looks like chest hair cosplay.
Is it a replacement brush for a cleaning appliance?
Although I will also guess that it could be an overpriced handbag charm? A dress? 🤷💰🤣
I thought that was the brush end of a toilet brush.
DUDE SAME
I so very much don't want it to be a top for more than $400,- ....
I want it to be a dustbunny mid-transformation in becoming an actual Bunny.
My guess: hair accessory from Dollar Tree.
I thought it was cleaning a chimney!😅
It's a faux isopod, you know like people wear fox, $250
I'm a great fan of Maggie's, I like her humour and her takes.
Looks like something I could make with bargin bin items in the Walmart fabric section and probably cuter.
That is a house centipede
A cheap garter belt for a goth outfit or Halloween costume on a budget?
That's a designer toilet brush. Costs probably 150,- or something. Handle sold separately.
Is this actually Badger from Wolf&Badger? Seems to have a lot of speed?
It’s cut off but I love the “or 4 interest free payments” part. Seriously?????
I thought it was one of those frilly headpieces that you see on a French maid costume sometimes

A really Emo tutu that’s sideways for $25 at Walmart
Damn it. The inflation on tulle is ridiculous. Buying this would blow my tulle budget for at least 8 months & I can’t justify that.
A duster for dusting, just missing the handle 😅

That’s honestly less expensive than I thought it was gonna be
Wolf and Badger is honestly just something out of a fever dream. It baffles me that it is an actual website sometimes.
And people complain when handcrafters charge what their time and materials are actually worth. SMH
It would probably cost just as much on Etsy but at least you’re encouraging an artist to custom produce it.
