Question: Do you think that pannier frames strengthen the welded subframe on the back of your CRF300 Rally. These frames would be the ones that bolt to where the pillion foot pegs had been attached and have a crosspiece connecting the two sides? I would like one that accommodates the 24 and 34 Endurastan Monsoon Evo soft panniers, the Yamato top plate, and the Moose cross strap🙂 Does such a system exist? If you keep up with Itchy Boots, you know the welded subframe failed on her CRF250L.
Hi, I think the welded subframe is stronger than the bolt on one on the 250 (which is a weak point on the 250). If you can see them side by side, the tube extends all the way to the bolt on points on the 300, so it looks like it should be stronger than the 250. I have yet to see any problems with the subframe on the 300, though there's plenty of speculation that it's a possible issue because it was on the 250. That said, I think it would be stronger with the pannier frames. I have the frames, and will fit them this week and video! I'll let you know if all work together. The only bit that I'm not sure about is the Yamoto Rack with the Outback Motortek frames. If it doesn't, then I'm sure the Outback Motortek rear rack would work, if you can get one! (I can't get one, but am hoping they sort that out soon) Thanks for watching and ride safe.
@@PeakMotorcycles Yes, Covid 19 has only exacerbated accessory supply problems all over, especially for new model motorcycles. I appreciate all your good work in testing these products, and only hope they will become more varied and accessible in the future. Thanks again.
Good to know. I haven’t broken mine yet, but there is still time for that! Did you let Enduristan know about the breakage? If a manufacturing fault, they may replace it under warranty?
@@PeakMotorcycles No I actually did not approach them because it really doesnt look like a manufacturing fault. Its just.. plain plastic. As soon as this gets a slight hit, it breaks.
@@noidea2655 that sounds like a manufacturing problem if it breaks after a slight hit. The wrong sort of plastic perhaps? I’ve hit rocks with my plastic bash guard on my rally and it scratches a bit but doesn’t break. I’ve also dropped my bike with the panniers on (low speed or stopped) and haven’t had any damage other than scuffs, so if yours have broken after a light touch, then that doesn’t sound right to me. It’s not like they are particularly cheap 😳
Nice one mate...Be interesting to see how they fit on the CRF 300 :-)
I have some of the Outback Motortek frames, so will try them with them. Next week’s video if you can wait that long!
Just found your channel....great reviews!!! Subscribed!!!
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Thank you. Appreciate your thoroughness in this demonstration.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I have one of these in Large... They have a great quality *but* the plastic on the lower outside does break really fast -which dissapointed me:-(

Please show us pannier frames for CRF300L
That’ll be next weeks’ video! My apologies for the delay.
i want to see if these panniers assembled to your 300rally. . is it cool looking or not 😁
I’ll see what I can do. I’m off to EICMA on Sunday but will see if I can fit the frames tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me 🤣
