You could do the resin pour in 2 parts to avoid the visible rod. Hang them from a string into the tube and fill it halfway. Then let it cure, remove string and pour the rest of the resin ^^
I'm not sure if it's less or _more_ horrifying that they're *_fully clothed while in the vats_* ??? Are the clothes grown with them? Are they clothed and then put back into the vats? Also, the rods to keep them up look like clear umbilical cords.

The concept of clone devices is mind blowing kinda makes sense how Mario respawns again. Would love to see a realistic castle from Super Mario 64 with a creepy chomp or bullet bill aswell.
I love these! Always wondered how the extra life thing would work in reality. With other characters being playable you could make other clones in resin and swap out the top and bottom. It would be cool to see Toad, Peach, Daisy, or Yoshi in one.
Really like these, wish I could perchase them. This is just one of those things that you would have on your shelf and when you have company they would be like, "why are they in tubes?" And then you explain they're clones. Really cool conversation pieces
One of my favorite creations you’ve done. The detailing is impeccable. As for Mario and Luigi, it looks as if you’ve plucked them straight from the games. Well done!
Seeing the final product gave me an idea. You could have made breathing masks for them and attached the acrylic rods somewhere above their heads and put them in the resin upside down. Then the rods would look like air tubes for the masks.
With the horrifying trends most of these recent sculptures have been following, I would absolutely love to see you re-create some Kirby final bosses (specifically the one from Forgotten Land).
Since you’ve done realistic video game characters, it would be great to see a realistic Wreck-it-Ralph and Fix-it-Felix from the video game movie, Wreck-It-Ralph.
I love the creative details that you add to your designs. Even the little creative things, like hooking up that tubing to the vats, just adds so much to the overall sculpture. And also, the highlights/dark patches that you add in all of your designs really make the sculptures pop. When you added that umber wash to the dirt made the dirt look so good and detailed.
UGH! I hate it when bugs and dirt get in my cloning chamber. It's so inconvenient and then I have to safely transport the clones into another chamber so it can be cleaned. Once that is done I can put them back in. Sometimes though, the clones wake up not fully formed and then I must dispose of the deformed monstrosities by using fire. Anyway... how are you?

I'll be honest, your works are often a bit too nightmarish for me, but I love this one! It hits that nice sweet spot between goofy nonsense and Halloween horror.
This turned out so cool!! Even better than I imagined from the Patreon hints! Now question is, are the original Mario and Luigi kept hidden somewhere for dna and future cloning purposes, or were they really the first to go and a dna just went really really well to create the clones?
The real Mario and Luigi were killed during the first raid King Koopa ever did on The Mushroom Kingdom, but since they were the only two people at the time who gained special abilities from items found throughout the kingdom, the royal family decided to preserve their corpses in cryo chambers and cover up most of that incident. They extract DNA from the sources each time a clone dies, infuse it with some of the clone's DNA along with properties from the items they found, so that each time they produce a new clone they are capable of learning new abilities. The only side effect of that is there is a small chance of the new clone dying doing the exact same stupid maneuver that killed the previous clone.
Hey instead of that clear tube that holds them up, could you suspend them with a string while pouring half the resin, then let that cure, remove the string, and pour the other half once they're set. Or would it leave a weird halfway mark in the resin?
It wouldn't leave a mark ! The main risk is that the figures would move during the curing process. Either from the string rotating, or the figures wanting to stay afloat for some reason (i.e. if the resin is very dense)
Ya, two stage pouring would work but this resin takes 72 hours to cure, so I could pour the second layer at around 30 hours or so, then I'd have another 72 hours to wait and I'd run out of week! Definintely an idea if I'm doing it over several weeks, but in a few days I usually need to do everything in a single pour (which is why so many resin adventures go awry).
It's been blowing me away just how crisp, clean, detailed, and amazing your figurines look. With each video your talent seems to improve, and I know you like to joke saying you don't know what you're doing but I gotta say you are an absolutely incredibly talented sculptor!
This woulda been amazing with a dimmer but still bright LED setup of both on top and bottom to be used like a nice nightstand light or night light. Awesome little sculptures as always! I was wondering, is there a reason you use Cos Clay over something like Sculpey or Fimo? I've often thought about trying my hand at some clay sculpting and wondered what the best clay to use would be.
Cosclay is a rubber polymer and it's very durable/flexible when baked. I am clumsy and drop/bang/knock/or otherwise demolish a lot of things while I'm working on them, so something more Adam-friendly is ideal.

i have to admit that my favorite detail about this is the mushroom patch on top of the cloning tanks. the whole thing is amazingly creative but its that one little bit that does it for me.
Tbh I think the realistic Lego man is the most unnerving and unsettling creation on this channel. Even more so than his other realistic fictional characters.
I love this Mario series so much!! I got a few ideas for you. How about the Koopalings? You can change Ludwig’s hair into a frill, make Morton’s star-eye have a scar instead, and instead of making Roy pink just “because he’s pink” he could be albino. Anyway, if you don’t see this or have the time to do it, those are just my thoughts. Keep up the amazing work!!

Kinda surprised the one-ups are coming from small farms and not a koopa torture machine having it being stomped against the wall for the rest of eternity, that being a reference to a common way to get a bunch of one-ups in a couple of the games
The lights help so much bringing the right cloning atmosphere, as always beautiful builds. I do like the mechanical look of the cloning tubes, but I have to say most of the horrifying builds are nicer

I can imagine Princess Peach being the head of cloning for the Mushroom kingdom. Deep under the castle she has the parent mycelium block, this is where the brothers are birthed along with the rest of her kingdom. Peach is well aware of the purpose of fungi, to decompose the dead decaying biomasses of the land. And this is why Bowser fights, he knows his troops are alive, and only feed his enemy each time they fall.

Other than the fact that the Mario Bros are now like preserved foetuses, I really appreciated the detail that went into making the cloning vats.

The creative little transitions you do between certain steps are the most clever & entertaining I've ever seen in a craft channel, bravo.
i have to admit that my favorite detail about this is the mushroom patch on top of the cloning tanks. the whole thing is amazingly creative but its that one little bit that does it for me.
Tbh I think the realistic Lego man is the most unnerving and unsettling creation on this channel. Even more so than his other realistic fictional characters.
I love this Mario series so much!! I got a few ideas for you. How about the Koopalings? You can change Ludwig’s hair into a frill, make Morton’s star-eye have a scar instead, and instead of making Roy pink just “because he’s pink” he could be albino. Anyway, if you don’t see this or have the time to do it, those are just my thoughts. Keep up the amazing work!!
I dont know if Adam's videos ruin my view of things beyond a repairable form that gives me nightmares about how things used to be or if they are ABSOLUTELY amazing.

Come to think about it, it makes sense. How could you just revive from a mushroom? The mushroom must power the cloning machines, like Adam said. Yoshi doesn’t get 1UP mushrooms, and he doesn’t get cloned.

Kinda surprised the one-ups are coming from small farms and not a koopa torture machine having it being stomped against the wall for the rest of eternity, that being a reference to a common way to get a bunch of one-ups in a couple of the games
The lights help so much bringing the right cloning atmosphere, as always beautiful builds. I do like the mechanical look of the cloning tubes, but I have to say most of the horrifying builds are nicer

The fact that Mario and Luigi are on-model just makes the sculpture all the more creepy, it's like this is really how the Mario universe works.
As we all know Mario and Luigi’s clothing is a part of their flesh, which is why it’s in all the clones. “But what about Mario’s separate outfits in Mario Odyssey?” They can shape shift, we know this, they instantly transform every time they pick up a power up
I can imagine Princess Peach being the head of cloning for the Mushroom kingdom.
Deep under the castle she has the parent mycelium block, this is where the brothers are birthed along with the rest of her kingdom.
Peach is well aware of the purpose of fungi, to decompose the dead decaying biomasses of the land.
And this is why Bowser fights, he knows his troops are alive, and only feed his enemy each time they fall.
That is so cool. The details and paint job are on point.
Now that we’re in the trend of video games, I suggest making a big man (from splatoon 3) clay sculpture, but make him slightly different/scary.
