  • SB.TV was invited to the British Library for the gathering of three incredible minds. They discuss the current state of hip-hop and it's misguided use by the youth of today. They underline the various struggles in making music as an independent artist and deliver great wisdom for the new movement. An important watch, one not to be missed!
In addition there is a sneak peek of Saul Williams dropping serious bars. The full-length performance can be seen here: vimeo.com/17350230

Lowkey, I am so impressed by your Hip Hop, I lived in USA for 21 yrs and saw for myself the disgusting treatment of the American poor, the Poverty, The 1st Nation, the Dreadful treatment of Black People In almost every state I worked in. Please keep up your great work. I am 80 years old but I’m a big fan of yours

@shottawayne No, you need to analyse what he's saying is that when you eat at a shitty restaurant you may think that all of the food in that area is shitty.
This can be related to hip hop because people who don't like hip hop often times say 'Oh well all the Artists ever talk about is girls, cars and money' when actually if you look hardest enough there are rappers who rap about real stuff. Same as you could probably find a good restaurant in that area.
    Hope I helped. ^_^

@TheBbg83 Indeed, I'll second that. There was never such a thing that could ever have been identified as even similar to hip hop in Africa, nor is it still anywhere near as prevalent there as it is in the western hemisphere (nor will it ever be, in my honest opinion).

He spoke the truth and went against the elite to try and make us see what really goes on. Pac also had songs on many different topics he werent one minded...Anyway this video is one of the best on SBTV

ye it is a lot easier to get mainstream success by following that formula but it doesn't mean you can't get it without, eminem for example is one of if not the biggest rapper ever, and the american government hated him and what he stood for, he even released mosh as a single, whether you like him or not, hes a perfect example. Tupac got huge commercial success also. I just think blaming 'the system' is a bit of an easy excuse at times
