    As a teacher in London, I'm doing everything I can to get other teachers to realise, accept and utilise the power of true knowledge and hiphop's search for the truth. Marginalised peoples need this, and (unfortunately) a lot of kids are exactly that: marginalised.

      Rahul Kemp He has a point dude. Teachers should. We spend our whole childhood learning about shit! When we leave school, we actually learn more wether we're studying or not. We should be learning real history. Not just of our own countries but of everyones. Accepting others is the biggest problem we have on earth. If we learn that we're all the same then there wouldn't be any racism

Bit of a shame most of the kids are witnessing it behind the screens of their phones though, why sit and watch through a small screen when you have someone this inspiring performing right in front of you? You can never feel the same energy while watching something like this through a phone...

    You're point about TV is a very good paradigm for this society transition we need. Your able to naturally control you're child's environment-and as they get older they will have a certain set of beliefs and understanding about TV and whats good for them. Alot of kids dont and therefore 'the correct stimuli or environment' may not quite fit so easily. I mean for example-I was addicted to comp games up until a year b4 my GCSE's and school didnt really stand a chance-its going to be difficult!

    think the thing is if you ask quite a lot of teachers actually want their classes to learn, it's the curriculums and testing systems put in place mixed in with the deadlines etc that seem to be the main problem tbh
    plus the fact many teachers are unable to admit that they're still in the process of learning themselves

    That's amazing! Ye entrepeneurs is where its at. Tbf the 1 thing I wished my parents had not MADE me do, but TOLD me, was to start thinking about business ideas from as young age as possible. As a 21 yr old student just about to finish his degree and who has only just started thinking of ideas in the last 2 years-I wish I had thought about it earlier-But again society does tell you to get papers rather than build you're own wealth (which is in fact what TRUE capitalism is not corporatism :p)

  • @zeldazoned
    @zeldazoned 12 лет назад

    I agree with all that. what I meant was for example proffessions that require sustained amounts of work and dont particularly require creativity. Surgeons for example. How would the proffession know a child is intelligent enough AND has the right work ethic-because you have to slog through years to understand the whole proffession itself. Having straight A's and a degree demonstrates both the intelligence and work ethic that is required. Arts, PE and other stuff is all different.

    'bullying anyway' is no reason to not have school uniform. There are many reasons for it. 1-have you tried keeping order of masses of people?-uniform helps. Also, you have to wear smart uniform to work anyway. Wearing uniform does not take away individualism lol-clothing is only 1 form of expression. U have to think carefully about schooling because of the benefits of interaction-how kids deal with authority, how kids assert an opinion. But actual 'learning' should be done out of the classroom.

    he said "When our grandparents came to Britain if you had a criminal record u couldn't get in" when he said 'our' he meant 'black' people. My Great-Grandma told me that after WWII you weren't allowed on the Windrush ship if you had a criminal record but because Jamaica hadn't got it's independence it was still great Britain. They called Jamaica as a last resort and some people in power disagreed and tried to make it harder for them to get into Britain (propaganda and criminal record). trust me

    I agree with alot of the video-the question is really how can we put it into the existing system without creating issues. With the children hiring and firing teachers-Have you seen some of the innercity london schools in tottenham, edmonton e.t.c-the classes are unbelieveably disruptive, teachers getting hit e.t.c.. Those kids arent at a level to be making those sorts of decisions. Had they been taught properly from a young age in a diff system-maybe they would be. But it's about that transition

  • @zeldazoned
    @zeldazoned 12 лет назад

    Well as long as you feel you're kids wont be at a disadvantage (my main motivation at school was competition/to beat peers.) When i say assert an opinion- i mean in an environment amongst peers of you're age (as opposed to against you as an adult.) In terms of 'disrupting class' perhaps you're talking about inner city london comps (which we need to sort) because in my grammar school asserting an opinion was not frowned upon-in fact most classes were taken up by debates between kids/teachers.
