I've been seriously considering a NS electric stand-up. I've been watching tons of vids to get an idea of the sound. I'm impressed. Any players our there play one? Is it a decent replacement for an acoustic bass?

I had one for several years which I eventually sold… I kind of miss it. It doesn’t totally replace an upright bass but it’s a pretty reasonable alternative and much easier to carry around. Actually it sounds better bowed than plucked.
