Steven Wilson picking up the Prog banner! A true talent in so many ways. What a band!
The ending to The Watchmaker is probably the greatest moment in the history music
and it's amazing how he could put together a significant number of them in just one album
Steven Wilson is brilliant, and shouldn't be missed live! I've seen him twice here in the states. In my top 5 concerts EVER.
The album "The Raven That Refused to Sing" is a collection of ghost stories, of which "The Watchmaker " is one of....the title track is heartbreaking

The flute and guitar solo parts in the original album are a masterpiece.

If you're not already familiar, you should check out The Aristocrats, Jim. A three-piece virtuoso jazz fusion band featuring the guitarist and drummer (Guthrie Govan & Marco Minneman) from this vid. Great fun

Would you consider doing Luminol or Vermilioncore live? Both are bloody brilliant as well, and if you haven't heard them I know you'll be impressed. For someone who said he didn't liked Genesis too much, this sounds like straight out of a Peter Gabriel era Genesis.
For someone who said he didn't like Genesis too much but still made one of their best covers and absolutely killed it with a remaster of some of their music.

This whole DVD is fantastic. Luminol is another stunner from it. I so wish the Procupine Tree and Steven Wilson live DVDs would be reissued on Bluray. Most of them are out of print now and only available used for heaps of money. This one is currently $94 on Amazon.
Thanks for the info. I've only seen the clips on youtube. The only one I own is Arriving Somewhere. Would love to have them all.
The screen is there so they can reflect an projected image or video against it which compliments the songs they are performing. The screen is a translucent cloth so you can see through it.
It's on old theatre trick to use a gauze sheet that becomes solid when projecting light onto it. It works well here!
The Band can see the audience. It looks like it isn't because of the camera angle.
Jim, since you've (re)discovered Marillion, I should point out that Fish did an album in 1999 with Steven Wilson producing and playing/writing parts of it. The album was "Raingods with Zippos" - the epic track "Plague of Ghosts" features a lot of Steven's work. By the way, your reaction to Marillion earned me as a subscriber.
