This dude is a National Treasure. No Lie! About a year ago he was listed to perform at the St. George Theatre on Staten Island but I don't know if it happened. I kept checking but couldn't verify. What a gentle & friendly soul & to have him release these mini concerts from his home during the throws of Covid to cheer people up & remind us of the joys of life. A true Icon & a master Songwriter & Performer. His style while by today's standard is old fashion, it is Oh so easy to listen to & even sing along with. Thank you Sir. P.S. Cool fact-He wrote "Where the Boys Are" which was a Huge hit for Connie Frances in 1961 and they're both still alive. It would be cool to see Ms. Frances at Neil's house singing that song with him at the piano. ...Come to think of it, if I'm going to dream, why not throw in Toni Tennille & do "Love will keep us together". That would be a great show of appreciation to Mr. Sedaka & the fans would love it. Okay, I'm a trouble maker, just saying.
I see he was scheduled to play there not in 2023, but in 2022. I certainly never saw Staten Island listed for 2023. I cannot say whether or not the concert in Staten Island took place. Agreed - his mini concerts are a welcome treat and a glimpse at his genius.
Pure talent. Pure genius. An Iconic composer/singer/pianist. I can't believe Neil Sedaka isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! (maybe I can believe it because of who they have snubbed and who has been inducted. It's a joke) He was there in the middle of the Rock & Roll movement when it began and he is still relevant and talented today! Neil Sedaka is a National Treasure. Gorgeous voice LIVE, outstanding pianist LIVE! He wrote timeless songs! I wish we could see more Neil Sedaka, maybe a TV special with guest stars. Just incredible! Thank you Neil Sedaka!
