Thanks for giving us some insight into how the Fish Eagle skiff does on windy days. Maybe the weather will cooperate next trip and you can catch some keepers.
I hope so! I'm on the hunt for some nice Tarpon and I think I just discovered a perfect spot for them. Hopefully the next fishing video will have some nice size fish. Cheers!
Great video guys, I'm new to the Sea Eagle family so the footage really helps. I also Have the Honda 9.9 with the Minn Kota Bow-Mount Trolling Motor it really helps on the windy days. keep the videos coming!!!!
That's what I need! The bow mount spot lock trolling motor would be a game changer for fishing on windy days like this. I discovered a tarpon spot which hopefully will be in a video soon to come. Cheers!
Great video. Looking forward to your Paddleski video with Torqeedo motor. Makes me wish it wasn't winter here, but I did make to to Florida a year ago and used mine on the Crystal River visiting Hunters Springs, 3 Sisters Springs & King Springs. On another day we went 5 miles up the Wiki river where I was glad we had the Torqeedo as we watched the boats with trolling motors have to turn around because their motors couldn't cut through the currents further up the river.
Thank you! It should be a lot of fun testing it out and really seeing how long I can get it to last. That sounds like a blast of a trip, I am still yet to visit the springs here since they are a little north of me. One of our planned videos is taking the Travel Canoe up to one of the springs. Which one did you enjoy the most?
@@SeaEagleBoats The springs are great and beautiful to see. I visited them a lot in the 80s on our trips to Florida 3-4 times a year. Only once did we have a boat, and we went to King Spring that time. The water was 100 feet deep, but crystal clear with scuba divers at the bottom. I snorkeled it that day for 4 hours. One other time went in inner tubes and snorkeled the Rainbow River followed by the boat. That was incredible, early 80s.The rest of the times were just snorkeling from the beachs/state parks. In Jan 2023 we had a Paddleski 435ps & Torqeedo 1003s with us. I'd have a hard time choosing which of the 2 days I enjoyed more. The Weeki Wachee river is the number one kayak destination of Florida. The river was beautiful. The thing that I didn't like about it was.....signs all over "No swimming". That was hugely disappointing as I wanted to snorkel too. We went 5 miles up river with the time we had. The main snorkeling park at the springs was further up. We didn't have enough time, and it turned out it was closed. Also wasn't sure about battery life to go that far launching from Roger's Park. If we could have gone all the way, you can land your boat and pay to snorkel there. We launched the other day on the Crystal River at Hunter's Springs. It's a kayak launch. No like we were leaking any gas with the Torqeedo so we took it. It was a different experience than the Wiki river and both were great. 3 Sisters Spring where you can snorkel (besides Hunter Springs from the beach) had a place to land, but signs up "No motors". My wife watched the boat as I snorkeled, but would been better to both be able to. It wasn't far from Hunters and next time I'd drop the motor off and paddle there, then come back to grab the motor. We also made it to King Springs, and it's probably the only one where you can snorkel from the boat close to the spring. The problem this time, visibility was bad. I've since heard the time of year makes a difference there on visibility. Which day trip would I choose if only one? Tough question. Maybe we'll take the 437ps next time so my wife can sit more comfortable, but the 435ps paddles as a kayak much better so I tend to use it more because of that. I like both experiences on the water at once (plus sailing). I'd love to see Sea Eagle produce an updated version of the 435ps again. The 437ps is the better motor boat, but if you like to paddle as a kayak too, there is no comparison. The 435ps is also lighter, faster to setup/tear down, fits in the car a bit easier and does most of the things I care about. The 437ps has more room for fishing gear (I don't fish), a tad more room for comfort with 2 people, stand up cast ability, safer (5 air chambers vs 2) if you didn't have to paddle back due to motor failing which is common on small motors, faster hull (Torqeedo motor is 3HP anyway, and cost prohibitive for a faster one). I should make a comparison video between the two Paddleski models. I still feel there are plenty of reasons to offer both models. One aimed at the fishing market, and one aimed at the kayaking market. I was so disappointed the 435ps was discontinued, I bought a spare for that day it breaks. 15 years old this years. The spare is 10 years newer. I have a Razorlite and three SE330's also. A Sea Eagle fleet.
I really like these and if I get more into RV'ing, I will grab one. I have a Solo Skiff and enjoy it but the ability to deflate it for transport and put a larger motor on it would be nice.
Suggestion for a video. Take the 3 seater model and put 2 adults on it for a fishing trip. Test top speed, stability, general space management and overall performance with the 9.9hp honda.
How fast would you say it would be able to go with a 50 pound thrust trolling motor? Would you say it would be able to do 3-5 mph? This boat is looking perfect for me so far.
How long do these boys last. I usually stay in Mexico For a Couple months and go back to the US for 8-9 months and come back for the winter. How bad is for it to be left folded up for extended periods of time or should it be left semi Inflated in a cool fry place. It will mainly be used inshore or in the bay on super calm days.
Like all boats maintenance is important in keeping your boat in great shape. We highly recommend occasionally rinsing down your boat with fresh water and applying 303 Aerospace protectant. The protectant keeps the material in great shape for a long period of time. Also It is completely okay to leave your inflatable deflated or inflated for long periods of time but a cool dry place is recommended. We go over the cleaning process in this video - ruclips.net/video/dL9FJos05Q4/видео.html
Yes it is a 6 gallon tank. Its enough for days on the water with a Honda 9.9. If you want to go a lighter weight option and 3 gallon tank would be plenty for a 6hp outboard. Cheers!

You guys should do some sort of owners meetup in swfl. That would be epic
That is definitely on the agenda. We will be planning something soon!
I enjoyed the video! Thank you for sharing, am I am looking towards one of your Sea Eagle Boats!
Thank you! Glad you like it and smart choice choosing a Sea Eagle. We have a ton of models to pick from. Cheers!

It really is an awesome boat! With the new keel it performs great in all conditions and just wants to rip with a Honda 9.9. Cheers!
Awesome video! Just subbed. Makes me want a snapper sandwich.
Thank you and same her! I really regret not keeping any for a good dinner. Cheers

That's a great idea! We do need a video with the 3 configuration. Hopefully we can get that made soon. Cheers!

I would say 3-5mph would be about right with a 50lb thrust electric motor
Love the video, could you run a Hangkai 12 on it?
Thank you! The boat is rated for up to a 10HP outboard, up to 100lbs, and a 15" short shaft is recommended.

Just curious, what size fuel tank is that? 6 gal? trying to gauge the size I'll need on mine with a 6hp

Needs a front mount for a trolling motor.
Agree 100%
Let me know if you ever want to talk battery chargers.... I'm a Pro charging systems/dual pro rep
Thank you for the info!
