Thanks for the content . Just made 30 years working at my job at the USPS. Only place I have ever worked . Can retire but I am only 49 yrs old . So, I think this would be an excellent career change for me and a way for me to see the world while I am still kind of young .
Sounds great. I’m regional cdlA refer currently. Thinking about this type of gig with the wife. What is home time in this gig? Thanks and great video. Ah. You addressed that 👍
That would be a great life I could do something like I was a long haul driver from 2006 to 2017 been all around this I need a job like that would be just fantastic I've hauled FedEx a lot of times I think that would be a fun job😊😊😊
Hi just subscribed. Both of you are very nice. I am retired coming back out with a Class A, but this will be my first Straight Truck position and I'm exited. Question, I have a fleet owner who wants to go 50/50 on gas and tolls and a weekly mandatory fee as well. I'm a little apprehensive because I have to fly out to pick up the truck plus a 50/50 on gas and tolls without a paycheck for 2 weeks. Is that the setup you guys have now? and if you any pointers?
Great content Melissa and Brian! I have been very serious considering expediting for a few years. I have had class B for decades. Trying to convince my GF to obtain her class B. Income is the issue. I have been self employed for over 20 years. Dedication, self motivation is not an issue. Staying out is a non issue. Is the money there? Thank you!🇺🇸
Thank you, yes the money is there with Fedex CC. It might be a little slow getting started but within 3 months you will be seeing great pay checks. $100k+ a year really is possible and we are hitting above that now. $12k-$15k split a month is our average. Pay is always changing because the freight industry is always changing but Fedex CC has tones of dedicated accounts with big pharma. Our refer unit is almost always running and that’s where the money is at. TVAL loads pay ridiculously well ! - Do all your certs first. Hazmat-tanker, Twic cards, passports, & do all the available additional certs with fedex like food handlers, GDP, TVAL, TSA. If you have everything possible under your belts before getting to your truck you can start making great money pretty quick. We are Mentors now with EXAM and in our 13th month and EXAM put us in a stellar truck once we hit a year. They have nice equipment even for new drivers too. - if you ever want to talk over the phone ask EXAM to connect you to me and I’ll answer any questions you have. Thanks, and hope to see you out there on the open road. p.s. - your GF can do it ! My wife got the hang of the rig in no time at all and you can always do backing up / docking / parking for her. - Brian
I have 18 years of bus driving experience most driving regional in state and with log books and ELD’s. My wife isn’t at all interested in commercial driving nor would she pass a physical. Do you know if Exam would take me based without actual OTR experience and would they accept me with a non same household team mate.
Hi, my husband and I are team o/o. We would consider doing this if we could bring our daughter who is only 1 yrs old & our pup. Does exxam children and pets to ride along? Thanks
Call in and ask, I don’t know if that’s an option right now as we are drivers posting videos on behalf of EXAM. Fedex CC does have solo drivers out there, but don’t know much details on solo. - Brian

I drive a 53 with JB and I would not mind the switch to Exam or Fed Ex on the expedite side of freight.
Same. After 13 years, ready for an automatic condo without a trailer! It’s so small, finding a sleeping spot gonna be 100 times easier

I would love to jog y’all’s brain for a moment. We just started FXCC and have issues with our current owner. 😢
Sorry to hear you are having issues with your contractor…. The job is great so hit me up if you need a new contractor, ours is great!
Our fleet support is the greatest. You're never left alone, and they teach you all you need to know.
Where do you apply at or a good place to look for the job.
Where do you park the truck when you go on home time? And does Exam have a dress code?
