The reggae in this is incredible. And it's hard to believe that this song is over 40 years old.

The first time I ever heard this song was on 14 CFUN, a radio station in Vancouver, Canada, and I lived in Washington state, but the station would come in on good nights, lol, and I loved this song the first time I heard it. This is an excellent cover, and I love the way Serena adds the vibrato on "stranger," towards the end.
I’m a simple man. Jumped in thinking of Queensrÿche’s EOAS. I’ve found another golden EOAS and a beautiful vocal in every sense.👌

One of my favorite songs from the 80s...but man soo many to choose from in the era of the Clash, Police, U2, obscure like Payolas. Band was on point, singing was great, guitarist rhythm awesome but lead tones were a bit much. Pretty F’n stellar none the less.

Wow!! I wasn't sure how to expect this. I was thinking it was going to sound tinny and overproduced as it's made this decade, but wow, Serena and her band killed it! And the production is amazing. Almost old school record sounding!!

Keeping it pretty close to the original - this was good - same effect of mystery and dark emotions - most of have had these relationships with some stranger in our past
it never occurred to me until now how much of a reggae feel this song has. Killer rhythm.

CBC Music - it definitely has that vibe. Side note, I had no idea until recently that Bob Rock was in The Payolas, that guy is a national freakin treasure!

What were the two back up singers for? Very confusing
Just to fill up the space I guess. Or maybe they add a bit of more swing to the overall ambiance.
I did not see them opening their lips for once :-)
I think they recorded more songs than just this one and they needed those singers for the other songs.

I'm benching heavy and he is impressed and asks me my name and so I ask his .. he says Bob rock ... I said you the guy who did ' eyes of a stranger " and how I dig his music and told him one of bodybuilders I trained just posed to it and won a title . Interaction I'll never forget ... Great music by talented man

@@MikeHart72 Uff, unfortunately I have to agree with you. Most of the Canadian singers are fabulous, but it is true that they are not given the same importance as the North Americans. It must be a matter of how the industry is managed.
I'm not Canadian but my favorite artist ever is Shania Twain (which is why Taylor Swift exists, by the way). I'm a big fan of Canadian talent, both singers and actors.
Great job. I got hooked on this song after it appeared in a Miami Vice episode.
