43:14 🎯 Neal’s comment about his gf the therapist saying “none of this therapy stuff is proven” “where’s the after photo of the well-adjusted?” What a great thought to bring up as a reminder 👏
i think he knows that the more he grows, he eventualy will leave Andrew behind. it doesn`t mean he would be ungratefull or denyed Andrew`s support but he already has a clear path in his carrer. also, the most reacent controvercies would push him into his solo journey more sooner that he might expected.
Hold up... it's not like dude hasn't been saying some hateful ish too and co-signed damn near everything. Let's not all suffer from collective forgetfulness.
I completely understand what Neal is saying regarding running and how there is no better or worse moment. This is by far the easiest way to reach a flow state especially if making progress day to day. If everyone started to run (who is able), I guarantee that social media will be 90% less toxic. No need for negative comments after a run. The hardest part is putting in your running shoes. Once the shoes are on, you are committed and post run, anxiety and worrying is depleted for the rest of the day.
I like that straightforward blunt friend who saw Akaash's potential and calling, and encouraged him by telling him about the open mike. That's the type of friend I value, you think he's being rude, but he was an observant, no bullshit type of person. A lot of people can't handle those type of personalities. But look where Akaash is now as a result of that forceful nudge forward. I love the "Andrews of the world" Look up the New Testament reference. They come into your life, point you in the right direction, then leave your life, but it isn't till later, you appreciate their impact in your journey.
Neal i was in a terrible environment the first few years of my life. Erikson's stages say Trust/Safety is developed in first 18 months. Autonomy/Shame is developed from 18 months to 3 years. I have come to the conclusion that I missed these stages of development which made me feel fear and feel shame about who i was or my actions. I think you might have some of this going on too. Awareness has helped me.
I came from a very volitile family background too, with my parents and a lot of my family on meth. I cant remember a single time I just fell asleep. Even in my heaviest alcoholic years I never once passed out. Every night is a struggle of laying in bed with my mind racing, no matter how tired I am. The only thing I've found that's ever really helped without hurting other things is mass amounts of cannabis. But even that only helps so much. And, no surprise, my health has always been terrible, even when I was eating super healthy and exercising a lot.
Are you ever going to release your theme song? Just a video on here. A little treat. A little electro-funk soul treat. Maybe an end of the year behind the scenes montage? Or just over the logo for 5 minutes, whatever. Keep up the great show, Neal.
Just fyi, trazadone is not an anti-psychotic. It is used as an alternative to anti-psychotics and was originally used for depression, but evolved to also treat difficulty sleeping. For me, it worked for a few nights for sleep, but then wasn't effective.
This will be an interesting listen. I've never found Akaash funny. But, that may be because he's always surrounded by Andrew. Who takes the funny out of the room. And even worse that he(along with a few others)are those "comedians" who act like they are patriots of free speech and acting like they are more important than they are. Its just narcissism mixed with grifting. Just gross. But maybe when Andrew isn't around, he's tolerable. So, I'll give it a shot.
Is there a middle ground between ignoring your feelings and the American approach of having a therapist, a sleep therapist and being on every medication under the sun?! 🤣
I really like that dude and his standup is really good too! At the beninnging i hated his laugh, so loud and annoying but now i really really like him! ❤
I think you are an A+ person, when it comes to your morality, if you are living your life without hurting other people intentionally, especially those that are vulnerable like kids. And you keep the way you want to live life to yourself.
Everything the guest describes is a symptom of ADHD. It's amazing how often medical and mental health professionals don't screen people with anxiety for ADHD.
No. Not for me. Anyone fake laughing hysterically on the same podcast sofa as a black man for Andrew Schultz to be able to go on another spiel with the ”I am not racist, I am just joking” (hint hint, look at the POC and black man on my sofa slapping their thighs laughing, this is humor because of them laughing). But hey, I am happy so many guests has been great to see with Neal on Blocks. It is great to just have to skip one in a year or so.
You may be right about the Schulz angle, but the energy you are projecting on Akash is gross. This is your chance to get to know this person in a very profound level, and you are deliberately choosing to self-righteously stick your head in the sand and avoid looking at the nuanced truth. I would encourage you to try watching this pod and 10 hours of Flagrant before proclaiming your grand cancelling judgment.
People are blowing this Schulz thing way out of proportion. This story will fade as soon as some new story drops and Andrew will be just fine, and everyone will return to their respective corners of the internet for business as usual.
What Schulz thing?? Don’t even know what the latest scandal is, just assumed we were all in agreement that Schulz is a hack comedian who plays the “censored” and “cancelled” victim, and “defender” of free speech while making millions… with his little hype crew of unknown comedians
Yeah, Im a little surprised as well. But I dont know a whole about about the situation around all this. I just know Andrew is pathetic. So, assume that rubs off on him as well.
@@Magdalena8008s I mean the situation is pretty easy to understand, Andrew makes a lot of Blacc jokes, and this guy has no problem, laughing along and contributing. That’s an automatic no for me.
His biggest block is Schulz
Right?
Hahahaahah
KABOOM
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭
Fuck that was gonna be my comment
Its nice hearing Akash speak for a full hour for the first time in RUclips history.
He was on Kevonstage
And Rogan. His Rogan interview was fire
@ yeah but that was technically on spotify first I believe
Today I commit to contributing to Neal's happiness... I subscribed. Only took 15-20 Blocks before I clicked the subscribe button.
Really enjoy Neal and Akash's meeting on a sincere level. Nice dose of sincerity, insight, and funny. Fantastic episode, much appreciated. Cheers!

wow this is a must watch... dude is popping off on social media.. hilarious guy love the indian jokes
Anyone popping off on social media usually isn’t that funny. By your logic the hawk tuah girl is hilarious
You are easily amused or paid to type this. There is no other option.
@@gorgejung307this is a dumb comment, just cuz u find someone who’s popping on the internet funny doesn’t mean u find everybody funny lol

Hard agree, I can't stomach flagrant but really enjoy him as an Individual and hope it happens sooner rather than later
Seems like andrew is terrible for his cronies' careers
All of his comedy is making fun of Indians and jokes about being Indian. It's so boring and repetitive. He has one schtick and that's it.

Works with any physical fitness really. Those endorphins run wild and you don't feel sorry for yourself so then you don't feel bad about others.
Neal : "I like what your problems are, um i'm gonna use it against you like your mom said" 🤣🤣🤣
Enjoyed it! 😊
Man, I been subbed since the first one 😘
Loving this episode 👏🏻

I’m pleasantly surprised to see Akaash. Definitely is going to be a good ep.
