Just did this myself. Getting the new part in was taking me ages until I watched the way you snuck it in. Apparently someone had been inside the door before and really messed up the holes for the rivets so I'm either going to leave it or make a new hole and put a screw and nut. Thanks for your help!
hola es el mejor video del desmontaje y montaje que he visto gracias un saludo
fantástico tutorial como todos, una pregunta, como haces para tener los pinceles agrupados en carpetas?
un saludo
Can you do a video of you replacing the rear door?
I have a pin problem in my CLK 209.
So you have drilled the door to get out the lock, but how to do it reverse, I mean what to do with the drilled holes?
BRGDS
You need to replace the rivets with new ones. Will need a rivet gun or tool and to buy the rivets
Why would you need to replace this? Is it because the door is not closing all the way. My 2003 w203 driver door needs to be slammed shut and it’s not the striker plate. So could this be the reason why my door is not closing without slamming it?
When the lock just bounces up and down rapidly. So the vehicle will not lock or unlock unless you press it down or pull it up manually.
It is also a possibility your lock is broken in such a way it will not stay latched anymore
You do not have to replace the whole lock. You can just replace the broken spring in the mechanism. It costs just 3euro.
