Absolutely can verify what you say about the Cock of the Rock, Andy. They live in the deep forest canopy, sometimes down a ravine, where there's little light. That's their habitat! Also very tricky to photograph because their plummage is so bright - I've had to compensate to make sure not to blow out highlights.

    Great pictures and nice shirt!
A lot of photographers argue about using artificial light: some say that a person who doesn't use flash is incomplete in photography.
For me that means they're not aware of nature photography, where you must master natural light and control your parameters in order to get a well exposed shot.
    Congratulations on your amazing pictures!

Thanks so much. Well I am happy to be an incomplete photographer that has respect for wildlife. Welcome to my madness!
