本作の日本公開に合わせ、監督・主演を務めた待望の初来日を果たし、ボクシングの聖地・後楽園ホールにて開催されたジャパンプレミア レッドカーペットイベントに登場した。
和太鼓セレモニーのド派手な演出でリング上に登場したマイケルは、来日を待ちわびた約300人のファンとの交流。“大の日本アニメ好き”として知られる彼が、念願の初来日の興奮の心境と日本愛を爆発させた。
さらに、ボクシング元世界チャンピオンの薬師寺保栄、飯田覚士、西岡利晃、山中慎介の名だたるレジェンドもリング上に大集結！初来日を祝し、マイケルへ「クリード」オリジナルのチャンピオンベルトを贈呈した。

Michael B. Jordan, the lead actor of the movie "Creed III," who publicly declares his love for Japanese anime, has finally made his long-awaited first visit to Japan!
The legendary boxing film "Rocky" and its DNA inherited by "Creed" have depicted numerous intense battles, personal struggles, and the exploration of one's identity, delivering excitement and inspiration to audiences worldwide. The sound of the bell announces the beginning of a new "story" in this highly successful saga of cinematic history! The latest installment, "Creed III," premiered nationwide on May 26th (Friday).
To coincide with the film's release in Japan, Michael, who served as both director and lead actor, made his eagerly anticipated first visit to Japan and appeared at the Japan Premiere Red Carpet event held at the sacred boxing venue, Korakuen Hall.
Making his entrance on the ring with a spectacular taiko drum ceremony, Michael interacted with approximately 300 fans who had eagerly awaited his arrival in Japan. Known for being a "big fan of Japanese anime," he expressed his excitement and love for Japan, fulfilling his long-held dream of visiting the country.
Furthermore, several renowned boxing legends, including Yasuei Yakushiji, Akira Iida, Toshiaki Nishioka, and Shinsuke Yamanaka, gathered on the ring to celebrate Michael's first visit. They presented him with the original "Creed" champion belt to commemorate the occasion.
