I walked 500 miles across Spain a few years ago (I'll be 80 this year). I trained for a year first. I'm not an athlete. By the end I was in a lot of pain, although no injuries, but after decompressing for a few months, I was fine. I did A LOT of research and planning. One important thing I did was to wear Mueller straps around my knees to guard against possible ACL injury. They were uncomfortable for a few minutes when I put them on in the morning but by the end of the day I forgot I was wearing them. I would wear them again as I'm convinced that they work well. On the Camino, many people wore the conventional stretchy brace around the knee, probably because they're more comfortable. According to my research these stretchy/comfy type braces are remedial for post-injury. I stopped at a good hiking supply store in Pamplona near the beginning of my Camino - the owner said that my Mueller straps were better but nobody bought them.

Never knew hamstring, just started incorporating on gym machine with only 2 plates, weak. Quads dominate. Had meniscus tear, stress fracture tibia and fibula,so really appreciate this ACL knees care. Melbourne Australia.

FIFA 11 warm up poster is a great illustration of how to reduce injuries by warming up properly. Too many times I’ve seen youth soccer games played without previous proper warm ups, resulting in injuries. In the rush to want to play more ball, they get injured and become sidelined due to injury. Much appreciated info, in a succinct format, that isn’t an information overload, awesome channel.

I tore my ACL skiing and it was my last run of the day! I did get a full day in though before I slid backwards and fell. Heard the loud Pop and knew instantly what happened. I was in great condition, just a freak fall!

I would like to say mine after watching this video was maybe when I was in elementary school and we went skiing. I was learning how to ski on the bunny hill and i went under the school bus. I think that's how I hurted my ACL and it just progressed more on to the earlier years of my life.

Please discuss the MCL injury and how it's diagnosed. It doesn't seem as obvious as ACL injury (but I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV)

No idea who was in the Super Bowl but believe Miss Swift was happy at the outcome.
No idea Toronto had Argonauts in it, either.

6000 ACL surgeries? Dr. Deakin could probably do the surgery blindfolded, but you'll never know, because you'll be asleep. (Just kidding.)

Was there a time restraint for this video? I was quite happy after seeing the title, as it seemed like a video that might apply to me. There were quite a few moments where Dr. Tim (?) was trying to speak, like, literally opening his mouth ready to say something, then being asked and/or told something else, cutting him short before he could begin.
Don't get me wrong, it was still insightful. it just seemed like it could have easily been better without the rushing.
Just some (hopefully) constructive feedback from a fellow content creator, but more importantly, a fan of yours and this channel.
I'm looking forward to the next video :)
