Also for the Sareth best voice line in the entire game, attack Leanna while she’s “preoccupied” after the spider battle. You’ll get about 3 different voice lines happening all at once but Sareth finally shows his true form
"Shiled is for people who remember to block" ❤ so true ❤️ I'm glad to see you're trying some other games and it comes out fantastic 😊 always a pleasure to watch your videos
@@TheLaughingSimonnot to mention that for you, as a creator, its a nice and refreshing change. It can become a bit dull experience doing the same thing over and over so I'm glad you're trying new things 😊
There is melee combat, there is magic. And there is the kick. The kick of all kicks, which allows for so satisfying environmental kills. The best kick since Duke Nukem 3D
I'm a pretty critical person when it comes to games and played this one really late, like 4 years ago and I definitely did not expect to enjoy it this much. It does have a ton of old jank and cheese, but gameplay still somehow manages to pull you in and I find it really interesting that I barely find stuff like characters and story familiar after all this year, but I remember areas s vividly, because of how interesting some combat situations the game throws at you Also I really wish more games had animations as fun as this one like crazy dagger flurries or flaming fingertips
@@TheLaughingSimon I was just thinking, while watching you play, "Skyrim could have learned a few things from this first person combat." My first time seeing this game. Looks really good! Appreciate the perspective, @dima_keller .

Slightly janky rpg fps adventure stealth titles from the 2000's are so much fun. I started gaming again last year and apart from a few newer titles I end up playing old stuff. Great channel btw!
Happy you're finding time to upload more vids, Simon, mate! VR or not, your humour (and the accent of course) sells it instantly! Hope you're doing well, pal 😁 Always appreciate the FF9 music too! FF8 aswell? Omg. Never heard of this game but honestly looks like a blast lol

I really want to try this game now. Simon you just make games look so fun to try when you do videos like this. I bought Bulders Gate 3 because of your video made me laugh so much. Would love to see you do a lil mini series on Dragon Dogma's 2 with Kevin and Big Betty. There is a song by Ram Jam called "Black Betty" that always pops into my head when I re-watch this and that scene where Betty is like "I don't trust that lassy!" lol absolutely brilliant. Game developers should pay you to advertise their games because you got a talent for making them look fun.

I fully plan on checking out the original dragons dogma at some point, and Kingdom's of Amalar is going on the list! Now if I could only figure out the different between KoA Reckoning and KoA ReReckoning...
@@TheLaughingSimon Re-Reckoning is basically just the "anniversary edition" of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The original isn't available to buy on steam because the original developer went bankrupt (it's a wild story, too), and a different publisher re-released (could be slightly wrong about this part) the game as Re-Reckoning with the DLC content included and, apparently, improved graphics.
Game that would be most improved by a source engine ragdoll physics kick button?
Hold the button and aim those fireballs after casting my brotha, it’ll be magically hilarious and equally as magically frustrating lol
Dishonored would be greatly improved by that to be honest. Either that or the obvious, skyrim.
obviously Starfield, it needs so much help
Mount and Blade Bannerlord for sure. I wanna kick that King Derthert right in the cans

I did have my initial doubts but two minutes in and I'm chuckling away 😊 Hope we can hear from Wee Kevin (and Big Betty) again though 🤞

I'm disappointed this game isn't a sequel to Messiah, the year 2000 game where the Roblox "oof" sound effect originally came from

This game has the most horrific spiders I ever seen!
Me: You mean those little guys I found in the mushroom caverns?
Google: No I'm pretty sure they mean this

I have to say brother, I am a huge fan of the wildly flailing all of your limbs combat strategy🤣
Always keep your opponent guessing 🥋
