This game is so incredibly fun! Just what I needed to help make it through these roasting summer days. Playing as a mage so I'm expecting I'll loose a hand soon enough. The world though is just beautiful in a creepy Eldritch Horror kind of way. So worth the cost!
I can imagine 100% of first-time players that went blind, also lost their hand. I mean, how could you not? Cheeky devs
Just bought this on the Steam Sale yesterday thanks to Simon. I am playing as a mage. So far no lost hands but I can't parry or block so I'm expecting to loose a hand sooner or later lol. Brilliantly fun game that feels like a more brutal Oblivion.

It's still in early access so it won't be a series, but I'll probably revisit in after the next big update!

The death physics in this game are hilarious, you hit an enemy, it dies, then it gets launched to oblivion XD

maybe it's because i was listening to the audio more than watching the screen the while time this time. I could totally picture this being edited into a really amusing animation. Depicting Simon's unexpectedly one-handed misadventures traipsing through the depressing landscape. Just using the banter audio and then animating a funny/cute little cartoon Simon acting out his banter and exaggerating how some of the funniest bits play out. maybe taking some artistic license in how the world and other characters are animated around him too.
Like, right after he loses his arm and is talking about the other guy having an extra one. for some reason i can just picture a little cartoon him trying to take someone's severed arm at some point and trying to unsuccessful jam it on to his stump and throwing back his head in frustration and slumping when it doesn't work.
Then him getting progressively more exasperated every time a new set of people or situation fails to provide him any help getting his arm back. Maybe a little cartoon him waking up in jail and being taken aback when the door isn't locked and there are no guards anywhere. Cautiously creeping out looking around suspiciously and still loudly commenting them being crap at their jobs.
I also think an extra perfect detail to slip in to an animation as a visual gag would be to draw his one arm just slowly getting bigger, stronger, and buffer the longer he keeps having to adapt to doing everything in the game with just one arm. Getting more competent, but still being thwarted by the game soft locking him from being able to use a shovel. xD
Don't tempt me to pick up animating again!

"i almost fell to my death there but not quite" than proceeds to remedy that Simon you are master of timing your errors in most amusing way i can imagine. (my failures are far les humorous and more numerous too)

I cannot wait till we start seeing some of the bigger baddies from the board game. Taking on what is essentially mingling of horrors with armour and flesh as a one armed bandit is gonna be interesting.
I mean, to be fair.. I would pet the croakmaw too.
I would also pet the Buggane.
Frankly I would be dead several times over at that point.
You're like the opposite of a speed-runner. I like your game play style of 'how much storyline can I get out of every NPC?'
I love these banter lets plays. Not enough of em in the world. I'll settle in and watch this on the big screen when I got more time tomorrow.

This seems interesting. Gonna give it a shot. Hope Simon will eventually do something with the Wayward Realms. Few years away from that one, though, most likely. But Early Access in a year for Kickstarter backers!

This looks so half-cooked and yet you can loose your hand by petting a weird frog, the hell is this game?
It starts with getting disarmed, and from there just keeps handing out one grippy tale after the other. I'm just some armchair adventurer, but I feel like l should check if I can get my hands on that.

Inigo is a _tremendous_ mod, but he kinda dominates every playthrough he's in, so I've been reluctant to add any super dynamic followers to the series in favour of letting the shenanigans shape the blank slates of the vanilla followers. Maybe one day though. There was a time I never played Skyrim without him 😅
