Congrats on punching your tag! Definitely a fun and challenging tag to fill. I was drawn on Ft. Bliss.. Had a group at 575 yards but too windy, tried to sneak in but their eyes were too good and they scooted! Wife got drawn this year, so 2nd try here we come!
It was an awesome experience! We are definitely addicted to hunting Barbary sheep now. They do have some good eyesight, that’s for sure. Good luck on your hunt this year, let us know how it goes!
I was lucky enough to draw my barbary sheep tag this year after waiting 15 years. I received a tag for unit 29 and 30 for January of 2025. Any advice or area i show check out?
Thanks for watching. I took this sheep on the same January hunt you have. The mountainous areas are great, but they can wear you down. Spend a lot of time behind the glass and if you don’t see rams in a group or around a group, try to locate a new group. They could be solo or grouped up as well. We released another sheep video this year where we took a 26” ram. That video is titled “Sheep Fever” if you want to give it a watch. Both units hold sheep, they just offer different hunting topography!
Impressive you did all that by yourself! My buddy and I will be down in 32,36,37 in a few weeks chasing them! If ya got any connections with helping us seal the deal we are open to them!
That’s what this sheep is called. Realistically, compared to every other sheep, it is the cheapest in price. However, if you’re hunting them in Texas on private it can be an expensive hunt. But in New Mexico, the draw is fairly cheap. We just thought it was a cool name for the video!
Great video and congrats on your sheep! Great job on putting the solo hunt footage together.
Thank you for watching! It was difficult trying to get good film on a solo hunt, but we are glad you enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed this video, well put together. Nice sheep Gaven
Awesome! We are glad you liked the video. Thank you for watching!
Another great video!! Great job guys!! 👏🏽
Thanks Jon! We appreciate it!
You’re so good at capturing the thrill and excitement!
Thank you!
Right on brother. Awesome video.
Thank you! 👍

Very cool gaven..we have them in central Oregon as well, cool thing is we don't have to draw tags here,it's open year round
@@busterstoddard2147 there are also OTC tags available for certain areas of NM. Definitely a hard hunt.
Thanks for watching! That’s great that you don’t need tags up there. We have some OTC options down here but it’s tough hunting!
We are thinking about giving it a shot this year. It would be nice to have some options if we don’t draw any tags!
Monster hills man and a big ole puddle of red there at the end. Greta job man!
Thank you for watching! Those monster hills are rough, but they sure provide some amazing views!
Nice video! Wind can be hard to account for.
Thank you for watching. Battling the wind is tough, especially when your scope has no windage marks. But thankfully the second shot landed!

Good job! Caught yourself a case of Barbary fever.
Thank you! That fever is real, can’t wait to chase them again soon!

It was tough, but not impossible. We will try to reach out and get some intel for you. Hit us up on Instagram or Facebook and we can share some areas!
@@gilamonsteroutdoors sweet will do:)
Good job buddy! I know exactly where you were, haha
Thanks for watching! It’s a pretty rugged area for sure, but that canyon is very obvious!
Poor Man’s sheep. WTF. I must be poorer than poor.
