Hi. Can anyone please help me! 🥺 As per 6:53, Retinol can be layered with Vitamin C while at 9:33, Vitamin C cannot be layered with Retinol. Which is true? Thank you! 💕
Not to be dramatic.... but you totally changed my life! I have struggled with adult acne and PIH for SO LONG. I used to over-strip my face with harsh products and pick and prod at my acne. I have learned SO MUCH from you. I take care of my skin and use the best products/ingredients that you have suggested. I can't believe the way my face looks now, it hasn't felt this amazing in a LONG time. Thank you so much.

@queen a I don’t think he/she thinks he’s a dermatologist. I think she meant that hyram taught them a lot about skincare. And now they are Interested in skincare. So now she wants to be a dermatologist. Because of him.
Hyram has turned me into the crazy girlfriend that does my bf’s skincare routine for him because he thinks splashing water and wiping his face on a dirty towel is skin care 😫
I'm in my mid-20's and completely new to this; upgrading from my basic (cetaphil or BHA, sometimes AHA) cleanser, moisturizer and SPF routine and terrified of burning my face off with actives. This really helped. Thank you!
When is Hyram gunna come out with his own skin care line?!!! My husband and I will buy every single product consistently!! Thank u Hyram for teaching us to be kind to our skin!
Literally just came to RUclips to seek Hyram’s advice on combining actives and he posted this video seven minutes ago. He’s a mind-reader, a hero, he’s beauty and he’s grace, he’s miss United States
This was SO helpful and informative. I was so overwhelmed with all the skincare craziness out there and this just calmed me down and helped me decide what I really need. Thank you so much Hyram
My Niacinimide serum by The Ordinary actually recommends that it not be used in the same routine as Vitamin C or to alternate for AM use. I tried it anyway of course and my skin was BURNING. So I immediately washed it all off. That’s just my take :)
Grace Melissa the combo of vitamin c and niacinimide i think it’s cause niacinimide rises the levels of acidity in acidic products (vitimain c for example) which can cause chemical burns and ish.
You can use it with vitamin c, just not PURE vitamin c. Though it also depends on yous skin sensitivity too. It's fine for me since my skin is more resilient I guess and I usually wait until either the vitamin c or niacinamide is fully absorbed as they deact when mixed.
I love that Hyram has established trust with everyone so that when he’s sponsored by a brand, we know he actually supports their products and philosophy. I normally roll my eyes when I hear “this video is sponsored by”... but when Hyram says it, I immediately trust that it’s a good brand!

My skin has improved so much since watching Hiram that I like how I look with no makeup so much better! I've always been a real skin care junkie since I was 12!!! BUT, I knew nothing! I've simplified so much and have found a true love for Cerave, The ordinary and Cetaphil! Who knew?!
For those that use Tretinoin (0.1%): I used one night with a salicylic acid spot treatment (the one by the ordinary) and it gave my skin a chemical burn and had to use an ointment to heal it properly. I have been using Tretinoin for about 4 years and this happened about a year ago. Just some information for those in the same situation!
OMG I've been using retinol every day! See this is why we need you, to share your pearls of wisdom. Also, Cerave has a PM moisturizer with niacinamide. I just recently started using it and I love it.
So could I do something like this?: Morning: cleanse Use a niacinamide moisturize sunscreen Night: Cleanse use a BHA+AHA or a niacinamide + retinol (alternating) moisturize
Everytime I hear the “every single week” i just can’t help it but smile :) I love you and your helpful videos! You’re amazing Hyram!! Thanks a lot ❤️❤️
I am so glad I watched this because I was just about to add a retinol to my night time routine and didn't realize it wasn't something you use every night! I am super new to skin care and only recently have been getting serious about it. I have been watching so many of you videos and learning a lot! Thank you for putting all this information out there!
I appreciate your honesty for the products sponsored in this video. It's rare to see someone say that a product doesn't work for them, but still can recommend the brand because of the ingredient lists. It is important to say that everyone's skin is different and has different tolerances.
I was actually wondering about this since I've been using the ordinarys niacinamide and Paula's choice 2% bha, my skin does seem to like it but it all depends on the day oddly enough. Thanks for another great video Hyram! 💕
Same! I just added the Paula’s choice 2% to my routine and I love it! But I am wondering if it may be too much. The packaging says you can use daily so that’s what I’ve been doing but he brings up a great point that it may be too much. I don’t know but would love his take on that!
Do not, I repeat, please do not follow this video. Do your own research. Any acids will turn niacinamide into a chemical called niacine because of the pH difference. It can, in some cases, even cause niacine rush (redness). Xoxo
I have been using the ordinary niacinamide for just 3 days and it has already made a difference! Scars are definitely lighter and my skin is just overall so soft and feels much healthier and less oily! 10000% recommend ❤️❤️✌️
I’ve literally watched 20 hours of your videos this week. I love your natural and “less is more” approach to skincare! 🙌🏼 I just moved from Cleveland Ohio to Houston Texas and the change in weather, humidity, etc is putting my skin THROUGH IT. It’s been super oily and I’ve had awful breakouts since moving. I was treating it with harsh masks and astringents to try and dry it out, but after watching your videos (and a serious Ulta haul) I’m trying a new approach and keeping my fingers crossed for the best 🤞🏼 If anyone has recommendations I’d love to hear them 😊🧼💗
Can you do a video on the differences between Purging & Breaking out..? Not sure if this is worthy of a video or if you’ve already talked about this but I feel like a lot of people tend to give up on products to early because they think purging is the same as breaking out.
I use retinol every night. And just recently, like a couple months ago, I started using the 2%BHA. Of course i didnt think to not use them at the same time. Lol. No wonder my skin breaks out a little whenever I use the BHA. Its because I'm using it with the retinol. Makes sense. I'll start alternating them from now on. See if that works. Thank you!
Been watching for awhile. Cassandra Bankson, James Welsh and You , are my fav. I just watched your” coming out”. and getting away from Mormon b.s.. I am sorry for what you dealt with , cause of your church/ family. Although difficult, it was necessary for you to become a success and the very adorable, funny, knowledgeable young man you are today. Between you, Hyram, Cassandra Bankson, James Welsh.... the three of you take up hours of my day. I enjoy / learn / and educate myself daily. I am also old enough to be your mom / grandma. My age however, won’t stop me from learning from you and the other two influencers. I am happy that young people have people like you to educate them. I didn’t have that when your age. Keep up the great work and thank you for teaching this old bird great things. Stay genuine, be you, cause you are perfect.🥰
Hyram PLEASE make some videos about skincare routines for mature skin ❤️❤️❤️ I wanna help my parents figure out what’s best for them. I know it’s best to start skincare early to prevent signs of aging, but what do you do once you’ve already aged? Love ur videos skincare king ❤️✨🌸
Manuela Cazoni kind of but then lots of people found him on tiktok and his subscribers went up fast. I found him on RUclips around December of 2019 and I never heard of people knowing him but he still had a good amount of suscribers and now I’m watching someone recommend a product on my fyp on tiktok and I’ll see lots of people commenting “well what does hyram think about this”.
New to skincare and I am SOOO HAPPY I found you. Literally every question I have i just type in some keywords next to your name and i find answers to every one! I have seborrheic dermatitis so i have super dry, flakey, red inflamed skin. I had to ditch steroids and every issue i had came back. With consuming hours worth of your videos i was able to piece together a good routine for my skin type and i am happy to say after 3 months, my redness has reduced, the flakiness is GONE, and my skin has never been more even or blemish free. As someone who has struggled with my skin since teens, I am so thankful for the education you serve up on your channel. Also, I've never subscribed to anyone before but I smashed the sub button so damn quick!
Hyram can you review Formula 10.0.6. They just dropped a new vitamin line and I'm thinking of buying it but I want to know if its approved (please like this so he might see it.... ik he wont but its worth a shot)
Can you PLEASE make a detailed video about all these Actives and their percentages? Like what they range from....What is considered low/high/ideal and in all the forms they come in? 🤪 What to look for in a product? Seems to be be the missing piece for me when I’m out shopping and see different percentages on things and don’t know what to make of them. Love you and thank you!!!
I also watch Dr. Dray on RUclips (I believe you’ve mentioned her before as well) and she has mentioned that salicylic acid has been should to degrade tretinoin and therefore may not play well with other retinols but this is unknown for sure. She recommends using the BHA in the morning and the retinol at night or not on the same days. Just another thing to consider. It’s the only product combination restriction I’ve heard that’s not just, might cause irritation but may actually affect effectiveness. Just something else to think about! Great Video 😁
Hyram, I just wanted to say that I’m so in love with your personality! Regardless of what video I watch if yours, listening to you just makes my heart happy. Thank you for doing what you do & stay blessed & safe. ❤️
This is a great video Hyram. It’s really helped me, I use Vitamin C in the morning with a hyaluronic acid serum, and evening I use Niacinamide serum and alternate between a retinol and a glycolic acid.
This is exactly what I'm thinking of doing! 🙌🏻 Do you mind me asking if you have acne prone skin? If so, what % of aha and of retinol did you use when you started? Thanks!
Inês Teixeira I don’t, I’ve been lucky with my skin! I use the Revolution skincare Glycolic Acid toner in 5%, and The Ordinary Niacinamide and Retinol serums!

I'm going to put up a picture of Hyram's face in my bathroom for when I'm feeling too lazy to do my skincare routine to motivate myself
Lmaooo yesss
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 LOL that's a great idea
does anyone wanna see Hyram's closet, cuz it seems like he only has blue clothes lol (future me editing this thanks for all the likes guys lmfao)
lol I mean honestly I’m the same way
Let me tell you they are dark blue, light blue, pokka dot blue, striped light blue, pastel blue and so on 🤣
It reminds me of John Maclean who use only black clothes 😋
He said in a live he wears more color irl but on camera he looks the best in blue!
haha omg thanks for all the likes guys!
my friend said that her mom has been using retinol since she was like 13 and she's in her 50s and her skin is beautiful
Who votes for Hyram to come out with his own skincare line.? 🙋🏻♀️lol Your videos are so informative and I’ve learned soo much! My skin has improved thanks to you. 💕
I see this comment all the time and knowing how hyram feels I feel like he doesnt see himself as an expert enough to do that and it would feel disingenuous to him when other chemists have worked so hard on theirs. But ooooo i’d still buy it up if he ever did 🤪🤪🤪❤️
Hyram this is so so so helpful wow
WOah
Hi Nicol! Love your videos
The thousand like
“Gay-Nz” made me laugh so hard!! I love him so much!!
❤️❤️❤️
I rewinded it 3 times, I woke my dog up 😂❤
I'm glad I'm not the only one 🤣
Hi. Can anyone please help me! 🥺
As per 6:53, Retinol can be layered with Vitamin C while at 9:33, Vitamin C cannot be layered with Retinol.
Which is true? Thank you! 💕
me a week ago: using a st.ives apricot scrub
me now: the products hyram likes are the only brands i will ever speak of.
LITERALLY!!!
You’re coming up on 2 mil fast!!! I remember when you were at like 200,000. Congrats Hyram!! Tik tok is definitely giving you the love you deserve!
Hyram in the morning just starts my whole day off in the right direction and I smile and help strangers all day long….I dunno what it is but his voice just makes me wanna be my best self ✨✨✨
I’m literally 12 and wanna be a dermatologist because of Hyram! I love him!
Omg that’s awesome!! I wish you luck
Same!💜
Yesss!! Pursue your dreams
@queen a I don’t think he/she thinks he’s a dermatologist. I think she meant that hyram taught them a lot about skincare. And now they are Interested in skincare. So now she wants to be a dermatologist. Because of him.
Mochi JIMIN ARMY!!!
*WE NEED A SKINCARE LINE* I would buy everything EVERYTHING
Hyram has turned me into the crazy girlfriend that does my bf’s skincare routine for him because he thinks splashing water and wiping his face on a dirty towel is skin care 😫
i got mine mini skin care products so he could test out what he likes... i dont think he’s used it much
ilivealifealive HAHAH guuurl SAME
Same
ahaahhahaahha same 😂😂😂😂 "just don't apply anything to the neck, i don't like a sticky neck" loool
Oh my gosh i feel this 😂 i got my bf a mini foreo so he would stop using his loofa to scrub his face 😫
I'm in my mid-20's and completely new to this; upgrading from my basic (cetaphil or BHA, sometimes AHA) cleanser, moisturizer and SPF routine and terrified of burning my face off with actives. This really helped. Thank you!
A few years later: Hyram: "OMG I am so excited to share with you guys that I just released my own products" ❤️
and he has a routine for each skin type with his products on the website so we know what to get
hopefully sooner than a few years :)
You’ve changed my skin care for the better, literally couldn’t thank you enough❤️
I feel like you can always tell when Hyram is going to talk about Niacinamide. Like he gets a bit more giddy when he’s about to talk about it 😂
When is Hyram gunna come out with his own skin care line?!!!
There’s something about Hyram’s voice that’s so comforting. It’s the same feeling I get when I put Harry Potter on 💆🏻♀️🛀🏻
Ikr
Girl, you and I are vibing right now🤣 I LOVE HP and Hyram!!
I usually fall asleep with Hyram’s videos as a background noise
Sooo true omg.
this is the highest compliment
Am I the only one that when he says "every single week" I do his little dance with my shoulders? 😁😂
I do that too! But mt shoulders are kinda weak so I half ass it lol.
I do that also! 🤣
I do that too
😂😂 I do too!
Yes 👏 honestly I get a little disappointed when I don’t get to witness that godly shoulder shake
Gwen D dude same i thought my skin was gonna peel
I tried looking into what other active ingredients I could use with TO niacinimide but I couldn’t find anything!!! so thank you for this comment lol
Please help me out here, is it the niacinamide that caused the burning or the combination of niacinimide + vit C ?
I normally roll my eyes when I hear “this video is sponsored by”... but when Hyram says it, I immediately trust that it’s a good brand!
who else loves how hyram gives us free skincare tips?!
(i’m a small youtuber btw) xx
I just subscribed:)
Omg I love your videos I immediately subscribed!🤍
I would do anything to my skin he tells me too
your chanel looks amazing! def subscribing! 💕
Noturium uses so much vegetables such as turmeric in there products not only is turmeric bad to apply on the skin for sensitive people but it has no effect as an antioxidant in the skin? Antioxidants can’t thrive in the skin if theirs not a high percentage of the ingredient or if their isn’t a stabilizer to stabilize the ingredient in order to prevent free radicals. This skin care line puts in so many ingredients in their products that they don’t need instead it can cause irritation.I would avoid this if you have sensitive skin but if you don’t i would still avoid it because over time those ingredients can sensitize your skin.
I love the “every single week”
who else loves that hyram gives us free skincare tips!?
btw i’m a small youtuber💗
me ily
I dooo!!!
Same here 💞
OMG I've been using retinol every day! See this is why we need you, to share your pearls of wisdom.
Also, Cerave has a PM moisturizer with niacinamide. I just recently started using it and I love it.
So could I do something like this?:
Morning:
cleanse
Use a niacinamide
moisturize
sunscreen
Night:
Cleanse
use a BHA+AHA or a niacinamide + retinol (alternating)
moisturize
I do this exactly lmfao
I feel like it can be too much for the night but of course you can try and see how it goes)) good luck
Oh okayy just don’t use it everyday :)
Can we use niacinamide night time because I’m using vitamin c in the morning
Nishu Sharma U can use niacinamide at night
Everytime I hear the “every single week” i just can’t help it but smile :) I love you and your helpful videos! You’re amazing Hyram!! Thanks a lot ❤️❤️
I always do the shoulder move with him lol
PLEASE DO A "the truth about Murad" I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT USE IT AND I WANT TO KNOW IF IT IS HYRAM APPROVED
I second this!!
I am so glad I watched this because I was just about to add a retinol to my night time routine and didn't realize it wasn't something you use every night! I am super new to skin care and only recently have been getting serious about it. I have been watching so many of you videos and learning a lot! Thank you for putting all this information out there!
I love you Hyram! You've literally helped me learn so much about skincare in SUCH a short amount of time! Surprised you don't have 5M by now.
I don't know how you can continue making amazing videos every single week and be so educational and not run out of steam, KEEP GOING UP HYRAM
heyyyy you’ve taught me so much and i appreciate you so much because my face has cleared up THANK YOU SO MUVH HYRAM
Omg of course boo!! ❤️
Xoxo
Here 22 seconds after posting because I'm obsessed
Omg thank you so much! ❤️
Me toooooo
I have been using the ordinary niacinamide for just 3 days and it has already made a difference! Scars are definitely lighter and my skin is just overall so soft and feels much healthier and less oily! 10000% recommend ❤️❤️✌️
How are you finding the serum now? I’ve been using it for 2 days and haven’t noticed anything yet 😊
Listening to you talk is so soothing. You have such a clear and concise voice and you explain things so perfectly.
Who else sits through 5 minute ads for Hyram 🙋♀️He's honestly helped my skin so much! Really appreciate it❤️
I’ve literally watched 20 hours of your videos this week. I love your natural and “less is more” approach to skincare! 🙌🏼 I just moved from Cleveland Ohio to Houston Texas and the change in weather, humidity, etc is putting my skin THROUGH IT. It’s been super oily and I’ve had awful breakouts since moving. I was treating it with harsh masks and astringents to try and dry it out, but after watching your videos (and a serious Ulta haul) I’m trying a new approach and keeping my fingers crossed for the best 🤞🏼 If anyone has recommendations I’d love to hear them 😊🧼💗
Check out the all natural and herbal extracts lotions and moisturizers from skinsofly.com. Very effective anti wrinkles and hydrating lotions
Can you do a video on the differences between Purging & Breaking out..? Not sure if this is worthy of a video or if you’ve already talked about this but I feel like a lot of people tend to give up on products to early because they think purging is the same as breaking out.
I think Cassandra did a video on this maybe
I use retinol every night. And just recently, like a couple months ago, I started using the 2%BHA. Of course i didnt think to not use them at the same time. Lol. No wonder my skin breaks out a little whenever I use the BHA. Its because I'm using it with the retinol. Makes sense. I'll start alternating them from now on. See if that works. Thank you!
Am I the only one who wants to see hyram’s skin under a microscope?
No I wanna see it too.
Yes
That's a bit creepy
I recently found Hyram's channel and I've literally been watching him non stop since!
Haven’t we all!! Never thought I’d care about knowing what every ingredient does but I’m addicted to learning now 🥰
I'm just so grateful that you exist, Hyram.
Me:*shovelling ice cream into my mouth* oh yeah I'm gonna clear my skin so good now
I am literally doing that rn
Dude I cannot give up junk food 😭😭😭
😐 legit me rn
💀
Hyram PLEASE make some videos about skincare routines for mature skin ❤️❤️❤️ I wanna help my parents figure out what’s best for them. I know it’s best to start skincare early to prevent signs of aging, but what do you do once you’ve already aged? Love ur videos skincare king ❤️✨🌸
Who’s been here before he got famous on tiktok?
Wait he is famous on tiktok? I feel so old
I m pretty sure he was famous on youtube before tik tok tho, wasn t he?
Manuela Cazoni yes, he was either close to (or over) 1million on RUclips before he was actively promoting his Tiktok
Wayyyy before he even considered TikTok 😂
Also, I've never subscribed to anyone before but I smashed the sub button so damn quick!
i literally learned so much with him it’s insane
ps: i wish scalp care was more of a thing
Same! Scalp care would be super helpful
Hyram can you review Formula 10.0.6. They just dropped a new vitamin line and I'm thinking of buying it but I want to know if its approved (please like this so he might see it.... ik he wont but its worth a shot)
Exactly what I've been needing after a huge Sephora purchase this quarantine
Me too
I’m literally sitting in my bed. 10 at night. Watching hyram. And taking notes like I’m a student doing homework.
I was LITERALLY googling how-to last night & was so confused 😭😭 tyyy
Me: You go to sleep now!!!!
Hyram: Post
My phone: Ding
Me: you can stay up a little later, can't you :)
Retin-A changed my skin game!! I recommend it to everyone .
Great Video 😁
hyram: get out your notebooks
me: been sitting in front of a computer writing skincare notes down for the past two hours while binging his videos
oh my god PERFECT TIMING my products came yesterday and last night when looking at them all i just stared at them like.... so what first?
Even in 2024....whenever I'm confused..i immediately comeback to this video to get the clarity ! Hyrum you are the best!♥️
Hyram, I just wanted to say that I’m so in love with your personality! Regardless of what video I watch if yours, listening to you just makes my heart happy. Thank you for doing what you do & stay blessed & safe. ❤️
Are you living in my brain?! I was just thinking about how to properly layer these very products last night. Thank you for making this video!
Nobody:
Me:like the video first and then watch
Omg I am the same! lol
Okay so I’m not the only one haha
I always do that LOL
I went straight in with The Ordinary’s retinol! I did start at once a week though!
“I don’t know what muscle group this is but” YOU LITERALLY KILLED ME BY NOW BY THESE DEADLY FUNNY JOKES STOPP BEING SO CUTE AND FUNNY LOVE U AND IM EARLU YASS BISHS
