When I first saw the original video, I thought „that can’t be true, who would believe that nonsense?“. Now hearing the analysis it makes me wonder how much more some people would like to divide and how many people are too (willfully) ignorant to see through these thinly veiled threats to democracy (not just in the USA). I’m German by the way and had to suffer through several years of „how to read between the lines of (political) speech“ in school. Now I’m once more glad I had my teachers drill these things into our heads. Thanks to them I don’t even have to consciously think about analyzing these things, I just do it.

I'm tired of the "other side" constantly trying to squeeze in their propaganda alongside our truths, our observations, and our own opinions as well as facts. Trying to skew the public view of reality, and further divide the people. I watch a lot of behaviorist content, and one thing I've learned to be attuned to is incongruence. That sets up a red flag for me. In addition to the propaganda, the incongruence of Zuckerberg's APPEARANCE immediately sets off a "gut vibe" to pay extra attention to his words. There's such a laziness in this attempt in visual propaganda too-- why is he dressed in the "middle-schooler from the late 90s trying to be a rapper" aesthetic? Brilliant analysis. Although I have to say that in the US at least, the line between propaganda and advertising/ marketing has pretty well disappeared.
