- Fireworks sales have begun for the 4th of July holiday, but ahead of those celebrations, officials in Snohomish County are warning about setting off fireworks where it’s illegal.
It is illegal to discharge fireworks in Bothell, Brier, Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Woodway, and unincorporated Southwest Snohomish County.
While the sale of fireworks is currently allowed, earlier this year, the Snohomish County Council approved a new rule that will ban the sale of fireworks in those areas where it’s illegal to set off. That will go into effect in the summer of 2025.

I'm sorry I thought this was America, can't we just protest to get our right to celebrate back?? or are we just gonna sit and complain online
Illegalizing the actually fun fireworks for “safety” is bullshit there’s always gonna be idiots doing idiotic things, fuck this shit man
You don't go to jail for shoplifting but they will prosecute for fireworks. Screw off!
They ask you to call the non-emergency number in hopes on not coming when you call them. I have called non-emergency numerous times with constant text message back apologising for the delay and utter failure on coming at all.
Ah let the kids have there fun! OMG
You know, a certain group of Englishmen also tried to outlaw explosives for freedom loving Americans
Permits- a forced donation to the city for celebrating "freedom" 🤦♂️
