I always forget how much I enjoy the DL railroad. Hokey and silly but tons of fun, in many ways it embodies why I enjoy Disney so much. Thanks for showing it to us!

The Disneyland Railroad is another beautiful theme park railroad. They have five operational steam locomotives, Disneyland Railroad #1 “C.K. Holliday” (Built by Walt Disney Studios in 1954), Disneyland Railroad #2 “E.P. Ripley” (Built by Walt Disney Studios in 1954), Disneyland Railroad #3 “Fred Gurley” (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1894, originally as a 0-4-4T Forney engine), Disneyland Railroad #4 “Ernest S. Marsh” (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1925, originally as a 0-4-0ST Saddle Tank Engine), and Disneyland Railroad #5 “Ward Kimball” (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1902, also originally as a 0-4-4T Forney engine). I am planning to return back toward the Disneyland Railroad in late September 2023, haven’t been there since 2018.

I haven't been to Disneyland since 2015... The loss of big things like the Tower of Terror and the renovations to Pirates and Jungle Cruise, and stuff like that have cooled me off to going, as well as rising prices. But it's always the little things that get me and tweak my nostalgia. The intro with you in the train station got me. I might have even gotten a little dab in the corner of my eye. I could smell and feel and see that room.
The Primeaval World Diorama is originally from a ride called The Magic Skyway from the NY World's Fair in 1964/1965. It was in a Pavilion sponsored by Ford. Other Disney Attractions built for the World's Fair and moved to Disneyland after the Fair closed were Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln (Illinois Pavilion), Carousel of Progress (GE Pavilion) and Small World (Pepsi Pavilion).

Thank you as always for yet another great video. It's impossible to compare the parks as WDW has the best setting (not in the middle of the city) and Disneyland has the great old dark rides that WDW removed or never had. However, I prefer the DL railroad and Pirates the most over WDW's versions. Looks like you had great weather for your trip as well.
I completely agree Paul! I love WDW as a whole substantially more than the Disneyland resort. I just love and have much more fun at Disneyland park more than Magic Kingdom specifically. Yes, the weather was perfect on my trip thankfully! Thanks for watching as always!

The band being there was a nice way to enter! There is so much to love about this railroad experience. It’s hard to pick which part of the ride is my favorite! It may be the Fantasyland portion. Hi 4K. Thank you for providing this ride for us. I'd forgotten how much fun this DL train ride was with the cave, Grand Canyon, etc.
Like the DL Pirates ride, I just don't understand why WDW didn't make those rides at least as good as the ones in DL, sespecially since they had more land for WDW.
Regardless, I really appreciate this video, and your GREAT work!

Yes I have many times! Its been a few years since my last trip to Disneyland, so it was really nice to be back and to ride the railroad again! It made me miss ours here even more lol. Ours has been closed for over 3 years now due to the Tron coaster construction

I haven’t heard anything about when the WDW one will reopen, but Disney has recently started testing the railroad around the park! It probably won’t reopen until the Tron construction is almost done, which could be the end of the year/early 2023

Yes, it was nice to be back here after a few years! I really do love Disneyland. I have been many times and every trip is better than the previous one! As much as I love Magic Kingdom, Disneyland is just so much better in almost every way. I also really enjoy California adventure too! That park has improved so much over the years. The worst thing to happen to it though is losing the Tower of Terror in my opinion. But Guardians is fun too
@@4KWDW I agree with you on losing ToT. So sad. I think when it's a trip with just me and my wife, I'd rather go to Disney World. But with Disneyland being smaller, it's a lot better for my son so there isn't as much walking.
Do it again with the camera on the left this time 😀 and use 3d, most importantly, but if you can MIX 3d right along WITH vr that would be preferable. But 3d most important. Or just do it. THANK YOU GREAT JOB !!

I noticed splash mountain wasn’t running. I’m inclined it’s only closed for its annual one or two month closure and not closed for the Re theme yet since the voice on the Disneyland railroad still talks about the critters celebrating the zippidy doo dah day and then talks about Brer Rabbit over critter country because otherwise if they were already re theming it you would think those announcements on the Disneyland railroad would be gone already, but please let me know if I’m wrong
Disney has said that Splash mountain is currently closed for a regular refurbishment! It will reopen on March 7th

I actually got the monorail filmed last week right before the refurbishment! I knew the mask rules were going to be dropped once Universal did it a few days ago. That’s what happened last year
