If you are gonna dog these thats your opinion from someone who probably doesnt own them. Well I bought them for my 2108 F150 immediately after buying my truck a couple months ago. Headlights, foglights, tail lights, love what they do for the look I was going for. Brightness is awesome and hated the stock output so problem fixed there. Every dollar spent was worth it to me. The sequential turn signals are my favorite part for sure. If I was buying a second F150 I would be ordering another set of lights. I did the install myself and it is involved but not difficult. Piggy backing the fuse box is not an issue for me and I have all the confidence by the quality of the product there will be no issues.

Ford just needs to step their game up like other car companies. LED lights standard. Period. It actually sells car better in my opinion. Honda has a lot of standard intergraded things in thief vehicles it makes them more eye opener when car shopping. I have a f150 18' and wish it was just as good as an Explorer headlights. Lol
Ford's OEM headlight struggle pretty hard for the most part.
Yeah I don’t get it either. They pretty much have standards LEDs on majority of its cars. Mustang,explorer,Fusion. Then in other other models have to step up to a more expensive trims to get it. Instead of just standard LEDs like other companies. GMC redesign Sierra have it standard. I hope the new F150 comes with standard LEDs across the board it’s not that hard.
I agree. I'm a Ford guy. Always have been, always will be, but there stock halogens SUCK! It's something simple they could change, but it was still very easy for me to pick up some Lightning Dark LEDs for my 2012 F150 and for cheap money they look and work great. So until Ford decides to make LEDs standard, I will take care if it myself. Honestly living in the Northeast right next to the ocean, I am much more concerned with Fords rusting problems!
UPDATE!
I have had these installed for a few weeks now, so a few more "observations" . . .
1) For projecting brightness, these are pretty amazing! FAR better than stock!
2) These do not shine (reflect) to the side nearly as good as stock. When driving at night (no street lighting) and turning onto a dark side street, you simply can not see where you are going. This is downright dangerous. I have learned to run my fog lights to be able to see good enough to the side to not run off the road in these situations.
3) I kind of wish i had just upgraded to the LED bulbs they offer, (video of the install on here too) instead of spending the extra $$ on these.
4) Still disappointed in the DLRs not being as bright on the top portion :(
5) These DO have the "cool factor" though . . . no doubt about it!
Got mine installed. Pretty easy to do actually. A few things to note . . .
#1 the daylight running lights around the perimeter of the headlights have a little "issue" that is not shown in any of the videos. The top part (where the sequential turn signal is) is only 1/2 as bright as the rest of the DRLs, so don't expect them to look like they do in the video, or pictures of these headlights. A little disappointed in this :(
#2 there are 2 additional bolts on the bottom left and right of the grill that the video does not show being removed. At exactly 12:12 in the video you can see on the grill where these bolts go (black tab with hole in it on bottom right as he carries the grill away). These MUST be removed to get the grill off. Miss this step and yank too hard on the grill, and it WILL break.
#3 Getting those little clips back in where the fender flair meets the trim piece is a bit of a bugger!! I found using a pair of self-locking medical forceps works amazingly well. Hold the clips just below the wings (that snap in the holes on the fender) at the correct angle, squeeze the forceps and tighten them down, pull the flair out a bit to see, and slide the clip into its place. . .easy!
#4 I wish the DRLS could be tapped into the low beams for those of us that have the low beams which are already on constantly (when vehicle is running - Lariat trim level) , rather than having to run the fuse tap wire.
All in all, i love these headlights. many compliments on them already :) Worth the money?? . . .. humm.... maybe and maybe not. I DO know that these are WAY better than the stock halogen headlights.

I have the Mori's with the amber DRLs on my 2015. They're beautiful and seemingly very well constructed. Now to get the Mori fogs to match.

Ya'll missed a step before 11:55. There's 2 bolts still that you need to take off right under the headlight, it's part of the grill. Broke my stock grill because of this missed step, thanks.
We will have to go back and see if we have those bolts. Our videos should show every step of the install. We will go back and make the edit. Sorry about your grille.

The retro fit source website has a video comparing these directly with the stock LEDS and they found the light output to be BETTER than stock. 👍

Who wouldn't set it for sequential? That is SO NICE. I wish my Promaster Van could have these. The lights on my work van are like candles.

Headlight Revolution hey I have a question, that fuse tap wire, I plugged it up and the DRLs will not turn off. I unplugged the fuse tap wire and the DRLs work just fine.
Did your truck come with the OEM LED headlights? If so, you do not need the fuse tap then.
I bought these headlights and they are awesome!!!! I was disappointed with the taillights because Morimoto wasn’t concerned about the normal function with the 2018 as with the 2015-2017. With the earlier models, they have a yellow accent on the turn signals and the side LEDs. With the 2018, the lights all stay red. The wiring harness enables them to function but not as they were designed to. I wrote to HR but they told me there was no fix for this. I’m hoping that Morimoto comes up with a solution but I’m not holding my breath. I’m considering going back to the stock taillights, that’s how disappointing this is!
I stuck with my Anzo tails as the single reverse bulb on the Morimotos just didn't do it for me. Nor did the price tag when Raxiom has been offering the SAME tail light assembly for years.
I find original tails look fine. Love the Mori fronts!

Stock headlamps suck I want these. They need to make the taillights with bliss then I’m all over them. The fog lights are 10x brighter than the OEM’s
I wish somebody would build a A non-projector halo headlight never liked the look of a projector light or the quality of the light it puts out.
I really like these but I can't see myself spending $1300 on headlights!
If you want the best plug and play housings on the market this is your best option!

To al the newbies out there (like me). There's another bold right under the headlights that you need to remove before you can take the grill out.. the video fails to mention that part.. I was pulling and pulling and it was coming off lol until I noticed that last bolt.. luckily I didn't damage anything but definitely something important to note before you try taking the grill off.

My driver side drl shuts off as soon as i put the key in the ignition.. have you guys witnessed such a thing?? Remote start, they both work fine, but as soon as i put my key in and put into drive, driver side drl shuts off. Any idea why this is happening??

Was there a comparison of the OEM LED headlights compared to the Morimoto LED ? The comparison used was with halogens correct? The Ford Explorer using the OEM LED's is ridiculously bright , would love to see a lux reading from them.

Yes, it's been done. Way before the Morimotos were officially released. I believe it was the retrofit source that did it.
When you buy a lariat or higher end Ford the headlights are perfect but that’s just my opinion
to each their own!

I installed mines in a 2019 f150. How do I get my LED lights to only come in when I put it in gear. The lights look great but when the truck is running at night the lights are on b4 I put it in park. Is there something I did wrong or is it the way its supposed to run?

Fuse should be in 35 or 37 , you can definitely have issues with it plugged into 36 ..... this is a know fact by the manufacturer ... thank great video , there lights are awesome. !!

Wanted clarification as I’m planning to get this for my 2018 F150 XLT with factory halogen lights. Do they come with two LED bulbs for the two upper low beam projectors and two LED bulbs for the two lower high beam projectors or do the LED bulbs have to be ordered separately?
Everything is included when ordering. They will be plug and play.

2020 F-150 XLT, fuse location 36 is horrible, it doesn’t shut off right away after engine is off, times vary but the most it’s been on for is 10 minutes is there a better option, a better location that will shut off immediately after the truck is turned off?

I would really love to see a comparison to the OEM LED headlights. I know some comments here say there is on but I cannot find it.
Maybe a stupid question but I am having trouble adjusting the height of the low beams. I have used 4 different screwdrivers and none work well. Can you recommend or provide a link to a foolproof screwdriver that will work every time? Love these headlights. So awesome!

Technically that's how the warranty works. We have faith they will last longer than the warranty. Morimoto is a great brand.
If they are better then the quad beam led where’s the comparison to them, I feel like the quad beams are brighter

What happens when s light bulb goes out? Do you need to buy a whole other light housing ?
They would be covered, as long as it is under the 5-Year Warranty period! If out of warranty, you would need to pick up a new housing.
@ Headlight Revolution: Which do you prefer between the Morimoto XB LED headlights and the Supernova V.4 LED headlight bulb upgrade? Based on your test results the Supernova LED bulb upgrade was brighter for low and high beam.
For the amount of benefits you get from them, the XB LED headlights take the cake for being the overall better upgrade. If you are looking at just improving your nighttime vision, I would side with the Supernova V.4 LEDs. Great question!

I don’t understand the need for a fuse tap wire for the DRL when the factory lights don’t require it. The video states that they use the existing connectors so why the need for the extra ‘I made this at home’ wire ?
I was wondering the same thing. I was just looking at the factory wiring diagram and haven't seen a reason not to use the factory wiring. Unless they just have it for ease of installation. I'll be installing a set on my sons truck as soon as he gets back home. I plan on checking more into that when I put then in. The OEM is tied into a 40 and 50 amp fuse so I need to see how many amp these pull. I like aftermarket lights but can't stand sloppy installs with add a fuse or T-taps.
Does the 2019 have a fuse box in the same spot in the engine bay? I didn’t see one. I think mines inside on passenger side.

They do not, unfortunately. The DRL is only available in white.

Just keep your stock ones so you can change them back if needed. But no it wont.
Jeromey Johnson That’s not how warranties work. If your engine blows up, they aren’t going to screw you over because you swapped your headlights. Unless they see where you left a wrench in the engine bay while changing them lol. But other than that...

Should have redesigned them for 18-19 instead of using the same design as the 15-17 model.. Prefer the original led headlight for the price.
Do these 18+ not come with the radio anti interference magnets? The 15-17 did
*** VIDEO MISSING IMPORTANT BOLT REMOVAL *** two VERY important bolts need removed to take out the grill and were NOT covered in the video, lower left and right side close to the headlights!! If you don't take those out you will break your radiator shutter assembly.. don't ask me how I know this. If you're going to take the time to make an awesome video please try to be thorough.

So I have stock halogen headlights on my 2019 F150, and you said these are plug and play. So I wont need to buy LED lightbulbs for the High and Low Beams right? Also do I need to plug in the LED harness for these to work, or since I HAD the halogens I don't need the harness?
MALOPEZ11 it’s supposed to be plug and play since they’re made for the halogen f150s, and they come with the led projectors (might just have to adjust it)

I installed these headlights on my F150 and used the fuse I was instructed to use and now my inside USB outlets don’t work so I can’t charge or use Apple car play? Any suggestions on alternative fuse? I don’t want to lose Apple car play and android auto function. Thanks
Double check the fuse tap itself, It’s possible it’s not seated properly. That would cause the issue you’re having.

Definitely. I’ve personally driven both, The Morimoto headlights are better in almost every way. Style, brightness, beam width, functionality. I have them on my own truck and I highly recommend them. -Chris W
My drl stays on sometimes after truck is off. Didn’t know if there was another fuse location to use.
Yep! You'll want to be sure to tap into the fuse that receive ignition power. That way it doesn't receive power once the truck is off.
I called morimoto and they said they have heard of issues with fords. Was wondering if a ferrite choke would solve the issue.

Would be nice to see how the Morimoto XB’s compare to stock LEDs in the new Gen2 Raptors. Looking to purchase a set for my Raptor but I am on the fence about it.
You will notice a bit of an upgrade in light output, and the beam pattern will be very controlled. Ontop of that, the XB LEDs give you a nice aftermarket appearance that looks fantastic on the Raptors. Great question!

They’ve been on for 2 years with no moisture problems so far! The OEM style connections help with that.
Having to tap into the fuze box is not plug and play.
You won't be required to wire anything at all!👍 The "fuse tap" is a simple harness that will plug into the place of one of the factory fuse, and will have the space to plug that same fuse back into it! They are only required on vehicles that did not have the DRL from the factory! Hope this helps!👍

We tested it outside in the real world to show what you can expect from this headlight. Snow doesn't make anything look brighter, it's just Winter lol.

Fords stock halogens have generally sucked in my experiences. Maybe you got lucky with yours, but these are a major upgrade in visibility. Not sure if they are worth $1300 for me, but maybe for the guy (or gal) needing to replace headlights, it's not much more than OEM
Still amazed folks spend more than $1500 for headlights. More money than brains I guess. 🤷🏼♂️
Everyone values these things differently. Some people spend thousands on PC parts, some spend it on performance parts for their car, we like lighting here at Headlight Revolution! (:

There's no way on Gods green earth I would pay $1350.00 for headlights that will more than likely get cracked by a stone or something.
