Thank you again for this review. Helped me BIG TIME!
Your very welcome Brian.
Nice kit and review. I have a 74 VW Bug.
Right on, Thanks for watching.
The kit is in remarkable shape for it's age. Even the paper isn't yellowed. Very reminiscent for me of my dune buggy build in my icon. The chassis very similar. The tires are a pain. I ended up having to use some kind of special super glue made for vinyl. But still a seam shows. I like your real VW too. Love the matching red wheels!
Toppervision1 Thanks for your comments, my wheels are color matched Porsche India Red. Cheers
1300 was '66 only. That was the year of the Beetle that I had. Also the last year for the covered headlights, and last year for the "plumber's nightmare" bumpers. ( edit: '66 was the last year for the 6-volt electrical system)
Thanks for your comments.
I love VW
Thanks for watching.

I had a '65 VW Baja Bug in high school (early 80's) painted the same orange as this kit; competition orange. The car on the box art says Riverside, California which is about 30 minutes from where I live.
I love the Big Ins in Cali. Thanks for watching.
I think I have a mid eighties release that was molded in pink, Thanks for the look, I like the kit considering when it was first issued.
AMERICAN LEGEND I remember that kit, I think I may have one in my stash, I still to inventory most of my car kits. Cheers.
Thanks for the look into the past. That was a great kit, aside from those tires.
