Finally, a brand new tooling/kit from a manufacture. And to top it off, it looks excellent. I enjoy the Wyoming license plate decals. No tire sidewall molding necessary as they give us tire manufacture decals. Thank you Revell.
It has the HURST 'TEE' handle which is super and the front spoiler looks dead on to the real car. The instructions are great in helping a novice model to jump quickly up in their skill sets and produce a very satisfying build. This kit is number one on my list. Great Review Chris.
Thanks for the review Chris. They really did knock it out of the park with this one. I hope to see more full kits like this. Looking forward to your build up of this bad boy!
Great review, Chris! This release has just become a "must have" kit. I am glad to see Revell has provided us with a highly detailed 1971 Mustang. I was super impressed by the Revell of Germany 1961 Jaguar E-Type. The decal sheet and multi-colored instruction sheet set a very high standard. This new Mustang by Revell USA appears to have similar quality. I believe your assessment is correct. This kit will sell very well creating a win/win for Revell and the scale automotive modeling community. Bravo Revell! Thank you, Chris!
I can't wait to get it ...thank you Chris for the review ❤. I had the MPC kit but never built - this is the one I must have for my collection. To Revell: great job!!!
Daaaaang !!! What an awesome kit. Hope I can my hands on one. By the book, or customizing... should be fun. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Thanks for giving us a sneak peek.
This one is at the top of my list! It looks like we finally will get a kit that will surpass a promo in every single aspect. Thank you Revel! Great job!
Awesome review. This looks like another well engineered kit. Kudos to Revell on this one. This is going to be a great kit to build. I had to pass on the AMT version, but I will buy and build this one. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, this looks like an outstanding new kit. I have the old MPC Boss 351 but have never been inclined to build it because there is so much incorrect about it. This is a game changer. I don’t “need” any more kits, but this is a must have.
I can't wait to see the other versions of this kit. I recently bought the AMT kit and I must admit I was somewhat disappointed. The details on Revells kit look great.
Great review, Chris! Looking forward to the full build. I was a little disappointed in the Round 2/AMT/MPC version (at least they came out with a white version) and will be comparing it to Revell’s.
What an awesome kit. Very nicely detailed and engineered. Fantastic decal sheet. But what's with the wonky fan blade? Thank you Revell. How about an AMX for an encore ?
It’s so nice to see this kit on its way. I’ve always loved these Mustangs and was never happy with the pathetic offerings from the other manufacturer. I’ll get at least two, I’m sure. Thanks for the preview, Chris !
now this is a excellent looking kit and I wish that a lot of amt kits could b as nicely detailed like this one such as the rear axle, leaf springs and exhaust pipes cause i like to take my time and paint everything kinda seperate and not all together dont get me wrong everybody does it different and thats fine ,but cant wait to see how this turns out
I always prefered modelkits before videogames. Since i was a kid,my interests going in cars in 1:25/24 scale. And so i‘m very happy, that revell(and other manufacturers) this work go on! This kit seems to be a high quality in styrene.Fine details all over the parts..
Just for information: we in Germany have those colored instruction sheets since nearly 3 years (as I can remember it right) and to be honest: those booklets are pretty nice but I don't really need it. If they'd print the new instructions in black and whit, I'd say, they are perfect. To your unboxing: man, that kit looks hot! Those details are fantastic. I don't know, what impressed me most: the dashboard? The front axles / suportframe? So much great details. What I agree: the door skribings could be more present.
I've been waiting for this kit since 1980 but, especially since it was announced about 2 years ago! Thank you Revell for such and awesome kit! I'll be getting a case of these! Need to build a Boss 351, a 351 Cleveland Mach 1, a 429 SCJ (from the Torino Cobra) Mach 1, a 72 "Sprint" edition and on and on. It has the deluxe interior with a fold down rear seat too. The only downside I see is the under hood ram air stuff is molded into the hood and, it doesn't have the dual exhaust cutouts in the rear valance or the chrome exhaust tips (standard on the Boss 351). Otherwise it looks absolutely amazing!
Wow! Revell hit a home run with this one. Most of the recent releases have been a snooze fest for me, but not this one. I had recently purchased the mpc mold to make an Acapulco Blue Boss 351. Those are going in storage, and I'm getting one of these! And I don't need to rob a revell 69 boss 302 for the magnum 500 wheels either.
That's a FoMoCo = Fotd Motor Company carburetor looks like the one on my Beloved Mustang ,I was hoping it would have steerable wheels and folding rear seats.
I'm really glad to see this kit being released but I wonder why they decided to produce another '71 mustang when there's already a kit of that car out there in the world. So many more interesting choices to produce besides yet another Mustang. I'll probably buy one and build it anyway LOL! Keep building Chris! Love your channel!
The only other kit is the old MPC tool ( later owned by AMT), and it suffers from a loooong list of inaccuracies, and is considered one of their worst. Compare any part of that kit to photos of the real thing and you'll see it. This is the first and only accurate model of this body style, and now the ONLY example of a correctly represented Ford Cleveland engine!
2 things missing from this kit.... The optional rear window slats and the under hood ducting for the RAM AIR hood....😔 Hope Revell includes these items for the 429 Mach 1 version when it comes out... Still a great kit!..😎👌
Great unboxing! I am so glad to see that it looks like they have come through with this kit. I had my doubts, but it seems like they are stepping up their game and actually trying to compete with some of the other companies' higher-end kits. Actually, it looks amazing, and I've just added this kit to my shortlist. I'm looking forward to seeing the full build video. Thanks for sharing, and have a great weekend! -David
Go Revell for not cheating us out of an engine
Amen. And there is front and rear suspension! Finally! A new kit that isn't a curbside model l.
Love to see the retooling on model kits. Still would like to see the old drag cars & gassers redone & retooled. Miss those old gassers.
This is not a retool it's a new tool.
Yes! That would be awesome! And the old classic cars and muscle cars.
Finally, a brand new tooling/kit from a manufacture. And to top it off, it looks excellent. I enjoy the Wyoming license plate decals. No tire sidewall molding necessary as they give us tire manufacture decals. Thank you Revell.
Defiantly going to be a good seller!!!!! 👍👍
New Revell kits go together so good. It should be a fun build.
Awesome job Revell! A must for Mustang fans. Thank you Chris.
Finally an all new 1971 Mustang!
Great review. Thank you. 👍♥️
It has the HURST 'TEE' handle which is super and the front spoiler looks dead on to the real car. The instructions are great in helping a novice model to jump quickly up in their skill sets and produce a very satisfying build. This kit is number one on my list. Great Review Chris.
Cool stuff always thanks 😎
Top review, many thanks.
Definitely getting better with the detailing! Ford guys should b happy! Nice kit Revell
Typical instructions and decals in Revell Germany kits. Glad they are putting them in US kits!
C😎😎😎LLL Review Chris, Thanks n God Bless 🤗 Gary.
Nice job Chris I love the video keep them coming
Very excited to see this one being released. Thanks Revell USA for the awesome looking kit! 👍
Just found this. Damn, I love that hood! Thanks!
This looks awesome!
This is a beauty - can't wait for the full build.
Thanks for the review Chris. They really did knock it out of the park with this one. I hope to see more full kits like this. Looking forward to your build up of this bad boy!
Looks awesome.

I love it looks like it will be a great looking model.
My uncle had that same boss. It was pearl white just like the picture! It was a beautiful car
Cant wait! Thank you for sharing!
I can't wait to get this kit, I'll order two!
You got to give it the Revell, the newer kits are amazing, a bit more money, but way more accuracy and satisfying result.
I can't wait to get it ...thank you Chris for the review ❤. I had the MPC kit but never built - this is the one I must have for my collection.
To Revell: great job!!!
I'm not much of a ford muscle car guy but I am excited about this kit, looks sweet
Hope revell starts making some Australian muscle cars next. I wanna see a 73 Ford Falcon Xb. PLEASE REVELL
Revell done good. Looks like a great new kit.
That's going to be a nice build!! What detail! Thanks for the kit preview. Enjoy your videos and builds.
Daaaaang !!! What an awesome kit. Hope I can my hands on one. By the book, or customizing... should be fun. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Thanks for giving us a sneak peek.
Wicked !!! Thank you hpiguys. and I'm a Dodge guy.
This one is at the top of my list! It looks like we finally will get a kit that will surpass a promo in every single aspect.
Thank you Revel! Great job!
Wow! That is a pretty sweet kit! Nice that we now have options instead of pretty much being stuck with the old MPC versions of this body style.
One of my most anticipated kits. Looks amazing. Light years better than the MPC 71 Boss 351 kit. Thanks for another great video.
My friend drove this car with back levelers on the window, I drove a 71 dodge daytona nice to see it coming out
The spurs gates are on the bottoms of the mirrors👍👍
Super cool car! Super cool kit!
Oh nice
Not a mustang fan. Especially these years. BUT, this is a really nice kit. And I will be pre ordering this. Revell knocked this one out for sure!
Awesome review. This looks like another well engineered kit. Kudos to Revell on this one. This is going to be a great kit to build. I had to pass on the AMT version, but I will buy and build this one. Thanks for sharing.

Looks better than expected!
I can't wait to see the other versions of this kit. I recently bought the AMT kit and I must admit I was somewhat disappointed. The details on Revells kit look great.
That is a great-looking kit Chris can't wait for it to hit the stores 👍👍
I want this!
Great review, Chris! Looking forward to the full build. I was a little disappointed in the Round 2/AMT/MPC version (at least they came out with a white version) and will be comparing it to Revell’s.
Great box review Chris! This one I’ve been waiting for. Much better than the Round 2 versions.
What an awesome kit. Very nicely detailed and engineered. Fantastic decal sheet. But what's with the wonky fan blade? Thank you Revell. How about an AMX for an encore ?
I'll buy 6 just for that engine, hot damn
It’s so nice to see this kit on its way. I’ve always loved these Mustangs and was never happy with the pathetic offerings from the other manufacturer.
I’ll get at least two, I’m sure.
Thanks for the preview, Chris !
Being young and loving the 69,70 Mustang the most, I was disappointed when Ford came out with this new look.
What a fantastic looking kit 😮I'll have to get one the dash is the selling point hope it's released soon
This kit would look great in ford blue with the silver striping
Wow! I still have one I bought about 15 years ago, I'm sure it's not as detailed as this. Guess I'll leave it on the shelf, and order this instead.
Nice kit
now this is a excellent looking kit and I wish that a lot of amt kits could b as nicely detailed like this one such as the rear axle, leaf springs and exhaust pipes cause i like to take my time and paint everything kinda seperate and not all together dont get me wrong everybody does it different and thats fine ,but cant wait to see how this turns out
Nice 😅
Hell YES!!!!!! FINALLY a great kit of the 71 mustang. Far more superior than the AMT variant. Awesome review. 👍👍
I'm gonna be getting this
Amazing job, I hope they release a 429 SCJ version. If they don't, I just might convert one.
I always prefered modelkits before videogames.

Excellent kit and quality parts. Obviously they have targeted Moebius.
The only criticism, disappointed they didn't give us taillights molded in red.
I Have A Boss MUSTANG '71 from Revell Germany...And has new Tooling..
Wow that's awesome man I love that it's sooooo detailed, lot better than the old Mpc model, Thanks Revell.
Chris, you didn't mention potential other versions at the end of the video. Did you change your mind or just forget. I'm hoping for a 429 Mach 1.
Looks like a great kit but the grille should have been a separate piece for sure with actual holes in it.
Will you be building this kit in a future video?
I've been waiting for this kit since 1980 but, especially since it was announced about 2 years ago! Thank you Revell for such and awesome kit! I'll be getting a case of these! Hopefully they would release a 73 version cause it would be cool to make a Eleanor version from the original gone in 60 seconds
that would make an awesome original gone in 60 seconds ealenor model
2 things missing from this kit.... The optional rear window slats and the under hood ducting for the RAM AIR hood....😔 Hope Revell includes these items for the 429 Mach 1 version when it comes out... Still a great kit!..😎👌
11:54 I’m rather surprised they’re doing the full color instruction manual, I’ve only ever seen them in the larger box European releases.
Great unboxing! I am so glad to see that it looks like they have come through with this kit. I think by 1971 Ford had stopped using Fastback and started calling that body style a Sport Roof.
where to buy this??
Link in description as stated in the video. Thanks
I hope you build this sweet baby
Now How About a BRAND " NEW " TOOLING Of a 1964 CHEVELLE MALIBU SS 2 Dr. HT 🤔🤔🤔 PPPLLLLLEEEEEAAAASSSEEE ❓❓
Time to sell off my AMT 71/72 Mustang kits cheaply.
Already sold out on their US site.
It's not even on the market yet so it will show 'sold out' until preorders are available to dealers.
@@hpiguy I see. I didn't know that.
