I remember! The mushroom and bamboo snacks had an entire Splatfest dedicated to them in Splatoon! But only in Japanese Splatoon, of course. I also love Ramune! Even if I always need my boyfriend to open it for me...
Shugy: "And even Dagashi bar exist in Japan where you can drink ALCOHOL while eating them so it might be a good idea to visit there when you come to Japan!" Me, a child: *trying to process what I just heard*
Honestly, snacks from Japan are amazing. I was lucky to sample some at a convention. If there was some kind of loot box with Japanese snacks, I'd totally get one. Even the packaging is awesome; so fun and interactive. ❤
they sell ramune here in oklahoma, and i love it so much. i have to go to the mall to buy them though. its a lot more sweet i feel like than regular soda. so thank you japan for making this delicious drink that i hold dear to my hear, because you bring me and my friends closer together :D
That could be confusing for me. My nickname is Karl. If I was in a snack store and kept hearing Karl, I would have to wonder what was going on. Fascinating.
I had a 2 hour layover in Tokyo in 2019. The airline/airport had hard candies in a bowl. People were taking one or two. I grabbed a whole handful. Hahaha. I'm greedy. 48 years old and I still love my candy. I assumed they were made in Japan, they were good.
I really appreciate that in your reaction videos you also add additional information and comments, with extra pictures and everything, so that I learn even more. Not just a reaction, educational too!
The first time I had ramune, I poured it into another cup and drank it out of that because for some reason I thought the marble would come loose and I'd choke on it.
I’ve actually tried Ramune and I really really liked the blueberry flavor it cuz in North Carolina I forgot were it was at but it was a Asian market and other snacks like konpeito
The candy whistle one...we also had those in the Philippines back in the 90s but a different brand. Sadly its no longer available here ☹️ I should have bought more snacks when I visited in 2019
I love how you say ‘when you visit’ instead of ‘if you visit’. I plan on visiting Japan sometime in my lifetime, so it’s nice of you to say! It’s really welcoming! :D
I appreciate that with snacks in Japan when they flavor something like fruit they actually take pride in what they do and actually make it taste like the fruit. In America it’s more so like “Well… we think it vaguely tastes like this fruit so we’ll just say that is what the flavor is.
Ramune has become fairly popular in the US in past years, to the point where it's available in common stores like Walmart, Cub Foods, or Target in some places.
This made me very happy a huge comfort content creator just passed away of stage 4 cancer yesterday Wich was July 30 for me and 2 days before my birthday this made me feel a lot better :)
I get a box of Japanese snacks every month and I LOVE umaibo. Every time me and my friend open the box she always spots the umaibo(if it's in there) and says well I know what you'll enjoy
I can buy these in the Asian market near me in the States. I love the chocolate bamboo one. Thank you for stopping the video and adding more information for us.
7:07 Had the pleasure of finding that at Walmart both original and strawberry flavored(prefer original) really hard to open but fun and alittle scarey when you do it for the very first time , taste reminds me of a dash of sweet lemonade or a very light 7up , recommend trying it

I've bought Ramune drinks to use as awards for my classroom, and the kids go absolutely crazy over the little glass ball. I think some of them still have the bottle in their rooms somewhere these years later! LOL As for me, I love the flavor of the original - it tastes like bubblegum flavored Sprite.
Japan candies are so fun to eat, they have a lot of different shapes and colors... I never had village bamboo before, only mountain mushrooms so I vote for the mushrooms I'm glad they won the war
I’ve always wanted to visit Japan even as a kid. (I had even planned to go to a college in Japan, but as I grew up I learned out country tuition was a thing I had changed my mind). This video made me just want to visit at some point so much more. I’ve always want to visit the Sanrio theme park (anything Sanrio is so expensive over here, and wonder if it is there too) and USJ and many of the popular cities, and now I have to add cool treat shops like the one you mentioned to my list!
