    The Ride Fuse is the first snowboard boot I have tried from Ride, and I have had a great experience with them so far. I chose this boot for the combination of a mid-flex, standard lacing system, and myriad of tech. Featuring a Michelin sole, full wrap intuition liners, rubberized toe cap, and urethane tongue and spine the Ride Fuse offers an amazing value for its price. After around 30 days of riding and testing, the boots are holding up extremely well with regards to flex and showing minimal signs of deterioration. I'm also really stoked that I was able to get down to size US 8.5 which minimizes the chance of heel or toe drag and allows for a more natural snowboard flex. I feel that most people would be able to size down a half size from their normal boots if you switch to Ride. Overall very happy with this purchase, and these will be my main boots for the 2020 season. Let me know your thoughts down in the comments, thanks for watching.

    The best boot is the one that fits your foot and doesn't give you any pain throughout the day.

    I’m a 11us in most boots and 11.5us in others. I can get into a 10.5us in these. You weren’t kidding when you said down size. I had to get new boots two weeks ago in Japan as my romes started playing up on ankle. Went to snowboard shop in Sapporo biggest they went was 10.5us. Lucky they had fuse. We heat moulded them with toe caps and we are all good! Didn’t even need my sidas foot beds. Love em! Save the snowboard trip and got super deep in furano 😊

    Nice review!
    Hey, could you post the measurements of your feet? I currently have adidas boots in a size 9 too like you did and they fit great. Partly because i have wider feet im a size 9.5 E if you measure it.
    So 27.4cm long and about 10cm wide at the widest point.
    Do you think ride boots would fit wider feet too like adidas?

    nice review yet again, TJ. I got turned onto these boots by Guf from TheHouse and been lovin'em. They are very low profile side to side as well so had to adjust my bindings straps. Like you said, they are supportive yet pliable, hitting that flex sweet spot. I also downsized half size like you as they fit a bit bigger than others. Keep the vids coming!

    Do u think size 11-11.5 boots would be fine in regular size bindings or do I need to by large bindings and a wide board

    • @BoardArchive
      @BoardArchive  4 года назад +1

      Usually size 11 requires a large binding, and I would recommend a wide or mid-wide snowboard

    I had Ride Tridents and everytime I rode in them, I'd end up with soaking wet feet from snowmelt getting in thru the tongue. I tried contacting their customer service multiple times and got no response. Luckily the retailer I bought them from gave me a full refund and I went with the Vans Infuse instead and love them. They also have a hybrid traditional lace/boa system that's the best of both worlds.

    Hey TJ, Do you find the Ride Fuse is wider inside than the 32 TM 2 or 3s?

    • @awiegwa
      @awiegwa 2 года назад +1

      I own 32s and the Fuse - the Fuse is wider in the forefoot and you can use the heel hold boa if you have skinny ankles. The Fuse lasts a looooong time and is very responsive and much quicker to put on than 32's. 32s accommodate wider calves better though.

  • @Lauren-yn9ze

    You may not have had that discomfort for the first few days if you'd had them heat moulded, that really makes a difference in my experience.

    I have ride lasso in 13 and they are an inch longer than my adidas 13. They’re good boots though and it’s a shame I can’t ride +15, -15 with them on even a wide board. I get too much toe overhang unless I use a forward stance.

    • @BoardArchive
      @BoardArchive  4 года назад +1

      That’s surprising to hear! What adidas do you have? I found the rides to have a smaller profile than my adidas. I was also able to drop a half size

    Your "boot" still doesn't sound very canadian :D
    jokes aside i would be wary of the michelin sole. All michelin tires i've used, winter or otherwise, went bad in about two years: The tire becoming hard and prone to slip regardless of actual use. Also confirmed by my tyres guy. I went with vibram with my new boots (nitro team)
