I’m late, but yeah, I don’t get why the are convinced of it either, because if you even think about it, Shogo would have killed most of the people we actively play as so it is physically impossible for it to be off the first timeline where he gets the stone

I do get their feeling that Harue and detective guy are more than just PI and client, they seem super open with each other like they know each other for a very long time..
So I'm just catching up because I've now finished this game, but one thing that I hope you guys do at some point is maybe go back any look at Shogo's timeline, because I think you did not understand it at the time, or got it confused during a break. You went through his night and he filled his stone killing people and then you jumped in time back to before Yoko died and stopped her dying. After which his body was found dead. We are now in the timeline where he didn't kill anyone and never had control of the curse. He stopped Yoko dying and then later died from the same curse. The timeline where he killed everyone is not the one the rest of these protagonist timelines exist in. I think part of the confusion is that you thought you got an ending when he died, but that wasn't ending credits, that was the Main Title Sequence, ie the prologue was now over and the game continued from that point. You have not gotten any endings so far, you will know when you get an ending because it will say "_____ Ending" Hope you guys see this before next stream!
Sorry, you did figure it all out later in the stream. Having finished the game I will say though the pacing is slow in places it does end up in some pretty fun places.
