That Derwin hit at 0:44 was BRUTAL and I love it.
Hes had a few hits like that on the season but they've fined him and he's gotten penalties on them. I'm glad he's still doing those hard hits because it really fires up the defense

Best chargers defensive performance I’ve seen since 2007. I know jets offense is weak but they’ve had plenty of weak teams without being legit this shutdown.

Love to see the emergence of Alohi Gilman ! That boy is fearless and plays every down with a level of urgency. Glad to have him back out there.
Derwin has evolved into a dangerous man out there. Like, he will F-ing hurt you type of dangerous, old school. I like it. The fouls are part of his reputation as a head hunter out there. A sometimes flat looking team needs that swagger.

Wow, the Chargers D was firing all cylinders! Can’t remember the last time they had a dominant performance like this but great needed win nonetheless.
What I don’t get is why didn’t Staley give Alohi a game ball for his great performance. I think what he put out on the field was just as good as the sacks from the 3 headed monster.

What a performance by the Chargers defense. Yes it was the Jets but no other defense made them look this bad so give credit where its due. You can tell the guys are having fun and playing smart. Lets hope this continues against a formidable Lions offense and that the Chargers offense can get back on track. Still plenty of time to put themselves in position for playoffs. Its GO time! #BOLTUP
THIS is what we need to see out of our edge rushers! Outstanding game from them against the Jets, really hoping this becomes a normal occurrence for them.
I like how they are coordinating their celebrations after big plays. This helps to prime their minds for success and conditions them to expect big plays. The celebrations also brings them closer together so that they work more as a unit. Great psychological hack.

D had a day! Great to see improvement. Offense line is suspect, running game suffers because of it, offensive Play calling is killing us... Still waiting to see this team have a complete game. But hey, Defense wins championships!

Our offense is better than the bills and the eagles. the jets offense was trash against both of them. the jets defense is the reason they win and our offense is the reason we win.

@@shweed1447 The defense is the reason the L.A. Chargers won this game. The offense struggled at times. To be expected vs an elite defense which the NYJ have. However, the L.A. Charger offense committed 0 turnovers and took what the NYJ defense gave them and it was enough to win by 3 freaking touchdowns. Special teams stepped up and played very well. Cameron Dicker is deadly from 55 yards on in and Derius Davis is a threat to return anything kicked his way for a TD. He did exactly that to start the L.A. Charger scoring and that gave the entire team a BOLT of Electricity which helped turn this game into a rout.
