I do have to ask though, I am a designer for a Landscape Architect firm in FL and was wondering if you would be adding more plants, shrubs, ground cover and trees? The library that you have already is great but maybe more tropical and native plants. as a side note I agree with Edgaras U. I'm ditching V-Ray

Great video. The Sketchup sync works initially, but I can't get it to re-link should I close down both program's then come back to them. Is that possible? I find myself reverting back to import.
Save both files, Close both programs. Reopen sketch-up file, click see in Twinmotion, then instead of clicking New Project, Click Existing project in Twinmotion and navigate to the one you want to re-link..... This works in Archicad so try for Sketch-up.. :)
Thanks for the video, I've been using Twinmotion for a while now and I love it. In the trailer there's a lot of scenes that already have backgrounds (buildings, landscapes, etc..) before you add the sketchUp model. Is that multiple separate sketchup models loaded into Twinmotion or is there a way to add buildings for background inside Twinmotion?
Hi Keenan, thanks for your message. The background buildings are multiple separated models coming from different modelers. Some of them were created in 3DS Max, they are simple boxes on which we applied facade textures. Some of the iconic buildings were downloaded from the 3dwarehouse website.
The only problem I'm seeing, and if they can fix this it would be perfect. It's just that when I select the material or the group, it opens the whole group. There should be an option to turn this interaction on and off. Because it gets in the way of editing the entire remaining scene a little bit
Is there a work around for the Epic Games Launcher to install Twinmotion? When opening the launcher, I get a message "Installing updates", but never completes. Just spins for hours. Thx. In advance.

Hi! Thanks for your message. To install Twinmotion, first, visit www.twinmotion.com and download the Epic Games launcher. Once inside the launcher, you'll have "Twinmotion" tab inside the Unreal Engine category. You can download and install Twinmotion directly from the launcher. A navigation instruction shows up at the launch of Twinmotion. You can also find a full list of Twinmotion shortcuts under the Help menu.
Once i directlink from sketchup to twinmotion, the components are stuck in their place. Im not able to move them. Is there a movement lock on the objects?

Hi Mel, it's a known issue. Our team is working on a fix right now. A walkaround is to use the "Resource collector" feature which can be found under the Edit menu - Resource collector. Basically, it allows you to create a folder for all the materials used and/or unused in your project. You can then link the missing files to it.
Love twinmotion but the interface it looks childish for my taste. I worked on vray, Corona, unreal and even lumion. But yes. Interface needs to be more professional. A bit smaller the icons.. navigation is PERFECT.. fun to navigate.. Cheers!
Hey Martin, I've been putting the latest update through its paces this week. There are some really amazing features in there, but it still so very buggy. However, I'm sure you know that and the Twinmotion team are working hard to fix it. Revit to Twinmotion didn't work if I closed the applications and opened saved files. Would trigger error report. The import function worked much better and more reliably. Import would assign the same materials to items that didn't have the same materials. Save hardly ever worked, incremental save seemed to work. I couldn't find documentation as to what incremental save was actually doing, I assume it's new to this version. reopening a saved file my model had moved down to 0 when the ground plane was at 19m. Usability - The interface is frustrating, constantly clicking on this and that to get something done. Also when you click on something accidentally all your menus change to the menus that support that object. Awesome awesome software but you wouldn't want to be relying on it just at the moment for any major projects.

Hi Bippin, components coming from the synchronization can't be moved in Twinmotion. You need to displace them inside SketchUp and synchronize again.
