I don't know about that one Chief. I didn't mind the 3-hour smackdown. It flowed rather well, and unlike raw it didn't feel like a chore to sit through. If this continues going forward we will have to see.
I loved the format of Raw having the "Top Stars" and Smack Down having the "new" or not so established stars, to give them a chance. In the end its about the writing of their storylines. It will be interesting to see, if the WWE Champion finally will be on Raw again.
PLE's are on every few weeks or once a month. You expect them to be long. Raw and Smackdown is every week. That's a lot of wrestling to consume even if you don't count PLE's, NXT, AEW or other indy and international promotions that may pique ones interest.
WWE now has a whopping 6 titles per brand. *SIX TITLES PER BRAND.* As seen with Raw, you can barely justify that with three hours as the tag division always gets ignored except when big singles stars are in it, and even before the women’s midcard was created, any woman who wasn’t facing the champ (Or Rhea Ripley) wasn’t on TV. Which brings the question of why make a new belt if none of the women that will compete for it ever got TV time? Now take all of that, and make it a two hour show instead. The problems are even further cemented, and Smackdown feels like they have no contenders for any of their divisions because those guys get no TV time. Again, to me it’s a sign that the women’s midcard doesn’t need to exist-just have the women be booked better and keep one deep division-but since it does, you need three hours. For the product. Idek if I like two shows or three hours each that I have to watch religiously-but for the product’s sake it has to happen and it has to stay. It’s just insane that Roy released guys like Indi Hartwell right before making a women’s midcard and guys like Baron Corbin right before a three hour Smackdown.
Sportskeeda: Smackdown going three hours is a big mistake Everyone including me: No, It wasn't because everyone (mostly) got their time to show what they're capable of and it's the creative that need an improvement week by week
Smackdown should be 3 hours. A lot of people have tv but not Netflix so want to watch more wrestling than just 2 hours, which is what they had 40 years ago with Superstars on Saturday
They need that third hour. Bc having the women’s mid card & tag titles on the show.
It's about sponsors

I'd rather be set on fire than 3 hours of Smackdown
In the 1st minute you admit the extra hour isn't the issue but creative was so what's point of this video😂😂
You only dislike 3 hour because you make content from them and a longer show is more work for you
So why are you upset?
I don't understand why nobody complains about 3hr PLE but always complain about 3hr raw or smackdown

I dont care about how long the show is, it needs to be booked properly and I enjoy it if its good.
Smackdown's roster is not deep enough to fill out the 3 hours, in my opinion. Raw doesn't have this issue.
We just got over this with RAW being three hours and now we're doing it again with SmackDown. Just stop it already WWE 🙅♂️🤬.
YAY ONE OF THE FIRST ❤❤❤
