Heard more covers of this great classic than I could ever count, but this is the most poignant, heartfelt, and beautiful by far. Alice truly sets the bar.
It is the most gut-wrenching, heartfelt interpretation of this Dylan timeless classic yet. Really brings out the emotions Dylan must have felt when he wrote it.
Thank you. me too. So many negative comments from a few dick heads. They love to rip people apart. This girl loves guitar and singing. Why would you want try to put a dark cloud on someones passion. They have small lives.
Beautiful, kick some ass girl. One of my favorite Dylan tunes. Check out Eric Clapton's version on The 30th Anniversary of Bob Dylan tribute concert, simply awesome
@@brutusadmirer8043 Not sure I agree with that. I think it's more of a regretful f-off, while knowing he maybe could have done more, his ego wouldn't have allowed him to do so. And so continues the cycle of unhappy lovers who ramble on.
@@silvermediastudio Hmn. "Still I wish there was something you could do or say, to try to make me change my mind and stay..." combined with the plaintiveness in Dylan's harmonica... doesn't strike me as a f-off. He's pretending not to care but does care. Maybe listen to Joan Baez rendition. I guess you aren't alone though. More than once I've seen people perform this with a smile as though it were a happy song.
@@brutusadmirer8043 I think the line could be taken two ways... One, genuine. He wishes there was something. Two, hopeless. "I wish there was..." knowing full well there isn't. Ultimately, it is the multiple interpretations and depth that make it such an amazing piece of song writing. Just like wine, everybody's taste buds are a little different, and they change throughout life. I feel the same is true for music and how each of us listens, plays, and experiences emotions from it. Pretty incredible stuff, right?
I'd be very surprised if Bob Dylan ever sang "If'n".Your voice is great but maybe you should leave early Dylan in the past. Come on .. start doing your own songs! I could write you a song that will take you right to the top!

Truly beautiful vocal; I love the way your voice is simultaneously delicate and strong. Happy I found you.❤
I love the way you play this song in an unhurried relaxed manner. That’s the way to sing this lyrically beautiful song. Well done.
Don here from NZ, Alice that was lovely, a nice version of a lovely song, well done
You make me smile dear, your right out of sixties when great talent
Was smiling from my radio
Beautiful version...wow

One of my very favorite songs done very well. Thanks so much.
Beautifully done! Thank you, Alice!
Really liked this . The pace was so much more controlled than many versions and gives a much more mellow feel . Love it
Fantastic on this . A great Job. Loved it.
Man alive that was like going down a scenic road, beautiful!
Beautiful
A beautiful cover. Great job! ❤
Amazing voice and style, also the guitar work........I am going to have to look for more by you!
Alice remains one of the finest singers out there
The only thing? This song was never meant to be sung pretty.
@@johnzimmerman1159 You would know.
@@donaldfagen1563 Indeed.

Oh my gosh I'm so glad I found this. Just going to shut up and just listen - again.
so deep... thank you so much
Great vocals and guitar audio. Great playing. With a few more camera angles, a Star is Born.
Great performance! I'm learning to Travis pick this song and need to get my fingers warm, flexible and fired up....
Soulful and unique voice..really lovely rendition..
A broken heart will heal but the memory is never gone ....so far our thoughts have although decided to move one... thank you
Thoughts have moved on.... sorry
I've heard this song a million items and from dozens of people but this is the first it gave me goosebumps.

I concur! Great rendition. :)
That was wonderful. Thank you!
Very well done. Calming, melodic ... very comfortable. Thank you for sharing.
Doesn't fit the song though. The song is telling an ex to f-off; she's singing it like a children's lullaby.
Beautiful 😊
Wow! Absolutely perfect on every level 🌈
Tres belle voix !
Lovely rendition
What a treat....don't think.....xxxxx
Loved it, your voice and guitar playing really suited the song.
There are many versions of this song; this nice relaxing version by Alice is a joy to listen to.
Nice. Perfect fingerpicking as well.
Outstanding 👏
GREAT PLAYING, BEAUTIFUL SINGING.
Alice is a gift so soft and tender thank you lady
Beautifully played. Great voice.
Happy and sad, all at once🥲
Hope you can do more covers of 1960's folk songs.
Alice's voice and guitar skills are beyond beautiful. One of the top 10 folk singers in the country.
Beautiful voice and beautiful rendition. Anybody who loves this song should really check out Jack and Daisy's Version. Equally well done
Great Scotten! That was great!
Beautifully done sweety! Encore!
Outstanding vocals.
Great job!!!!

Very nice. Smooth and not overperformed.
What an angelic voice. She is the whole package. 😎🎸
Sweet cover
Magnifique interprétation à la guitare sèche de cette jolie jeune femme 🎸🎶😉
💞I love your voice

Phenominal - Such beauty
Phenomenal / Such Class and delivery -
A very pretty cover... From France.

Beautiful. Any relation to Steve Howe?
captivating performance. my favorite dylan tune.
It's also one of my 1000 favourite Dylan songs
Is that Martin an OM ? It looks the same as my Tacoma E model, but with a flatter bottom.
Nice!
Absolutely gorgeous.
GLORIOUS >>>> !!!!!!! GO WOMAN, GET GONE VW/IT !!!!
Nice.
Bravissima
Beatiful
Beautiful cover! Where is this singer based out of?
Los Angeles currently, she is working with Freebo.
Does she ever play anywhere in the San Gabriel area or Inland Empire?
Very talented!!l Love her voice!!
🥰
Preciosa interpretación del bellisímo tema de Dylan. Bravo!
Great voice. And she captures well the wistfulness I think Dylan intended well.
He intended wistfuness?
@@silvermediastudio Dylan poses as no longer giving a damn, but in fact communicates melancholy, a vague feeling of regretful longing.

Sounds much better at 1.25 time normal speed- better reflecting the mood of the song
That's a really good point.
Appreciate your side..I just prefer a stronger version..x
Do a duet with Billy strings you got a nice sound.
your an idiot!

Mi canción favorita de Dylan,me encanta esta versión
Good.... Very good.....
Beautiful voice and the guitar picking isn't bad either
She can cover Joni Mitchell and nail it, so why not Bob Dyalan?
Don't think twice, that's alright.
Made me think of Judy Collins.
More soul.
makes me think of kate wolf.

It’s not a love song!! Jesus!! Is English her second language?
No way osay
Tough cover

Alice does a lot of her own songs.
Misinterpreted
stick to the lyrics down change them, thumbs down
And know your words well before you start singing
Lovely voice, but lousy interpretation.
Technically impressive.
Musically, sterile and flat. The tone and inflection doesn't match the mood of the song whatsoever.
True that. Bland and flavourless
Exactly. All sounds very nice, but missing any meaning in the song.
What the fuck would know. Usually people that post negatives have issues. Id love to hear your version. I bet it would sound like a load of crap!
