The acoustic live session versions of "If I Get High" and "Lover, Please Stay" are even more impressive. It's so nice to see you loving "Trip Switch", it's one of my favorite NBT songs. You can feel this is a debut album, it's a bit all over the place but it has it's charm and I regularly come back to it. Can't wait to see you reactions to the other albums.

All their albums definitely gets better and better for every re-listen. My favorite song from them, "Free if we want it", i kinda skipped first time i heard it and rediscovered it way later when re-listening. Alot of my favorite songs by them i only really got into after a couple listens, like Pop the balloon on their newest album, and Afterlife on their second album
They played Pop The Balloon in Vegas at The Hard Rock a few weeks ago and absolutely blew the roof of that place! Insane live show, and I'm so glad they are finally getting some love here in the states! 🖤
Definitely have to go in order with their albums. They all have their own unique style and i feel like they all stand out in their own way. Broken Machine would be next, thats the first one i listened to and fell in love with.

As you're going into the album I can feel that what happened to me and thousands more, is happening to you! You're being dragged into the wonderful melodic world of NBT. This band just hits you frontally over and over again
You gotta check out their song "Particles", especially the piano version. The lyrics for Particles are amazing. and I recommend "Impossible" record version and the Orchestral version (Live at Abbey Road) . Two of my favorite songs.

Let me just say if you liked this album you're gonna love their other albums!! Don't get me wrong this is a good album but their next ones just made me fall in love with them back when they came out. I can't wait for you to listen to more of their songs. And you should definitely listen to some of their live performances. I would suggest their cover of "what can I do if the fire goes out" it's AMAZING or lover, please stay for a live performance. Also "forever and ever more" is a GREAT song that was from an EP. you should definitely check it out

I actually liked that she took the time to look up the meaning and explain it cuz I’ve been interested in the meanings of these songs too but I felt too lazy to search it up.
Wow you somehow kept me for 1 hour engaged, you're very good on reactions, and i like the fact you read the notes and the statements of the band members at the end of the lyrics, very very good job If you like more slow songs, i definetly recommend the piano version of "particles" which is a song from their second album called "broken machine" It's so weird because i got obsessed with them 2 weeks ago, and in few time i got throught all of their albums, after listening casually just to "Amsterdam" two or three times, so i kinda saw myself descovering them throught your reaction:)
Great reaction video. This band is genuinely phenomenal live. I've seen many bands live but I have seen NBT live many times. If I get high was my undisputed favorite song until forever and ever more and more I truly love so many songs. A few of their songs are average on the album but live they become something amazing for me a big example is a song called particles. If you can find a live recording of it I highly recommend you check it out. I envy you in a way, you get to deep dive into this great band 5 albums and several EPs all unique but DISTINCTIVELY NBT.

something i love about "honey whiskey" is that, during the chorus, the main vocal is mostly the same note, while the background vocals are a melody! it's unique :)
Firstly, I love this album. One of my top 3 albums of all time. Secondly, if you are looking for more NBT reactions to do, and you like their slower stuff, check the piano version of Particles from the Broken Machine Deluxe Edition. It's one of my favorite songs they've done and Connor is so vulnerable and powerful in his delivery.

I saw NBT on October 3rd after waiting 6 years for them to come to the states. It was 100% the best show I have ever seen and they are SO much better live! Literally flawless 😭

It's a He? Before you said "I didn't expect him to go that high", I thought it was a woman. Based on a 1st song, male or female, best alternative singer of all times, I don't agree.... Even on the second song, I wouldn't have been able to tell if it's a male or female. But I love Geddy Lee and people say he sounds like a woman, so it's not a knock on the signer's voice!

I really enjoyed Graveyard Whistling. And Honey Whiskey's got such a groove. They are very dynamic with their sound. Reminds me a bit of Badflower.
