@@demosneokleous4877 The timeskip thing in Toy Story 3 was there to make Andy match the age he would have had if the time lapsed in the movies matched the one lapsed IRL. The idea was to show Andy "having grown along the audience". But it seems it was just a one-time thing for the story-telling of what was thought to be the series' finale. With Bonnie, I don't think they will want to go down that route (at least for now), so I can see why she has been kept roughly the same age.
I'm concerned the IPad baby angle will just come off as guilt-tripping, and the kids themselves may not click with it because they won't get what the big deal is, since they haven't known anything different. But if the movie can steer the message in a constructive direction, that would be good

Woody's return is curious, but even more curious is the continued existence of Forky. If you've ever had a kid (or if you've ever been a kid) then you know that toys like Forky rarely last for more than a year.
Toy story 4 already ruined the franchise. The 3rd already had the perfect ending. The 4th tossed all logic out the window with Bonnie loving a utensil more than a vintage cowboy doll.
I always assumed Toy Story 3 and 4 took place somewhere in the mid 2000s so it's a bit strange that they'd shoehorn the concept of Bonnie being an iPad baby considering iPads didn't exist until 2010 and the trend of the iPad baby is even more recent. Also there is a small but real chance that they'll reference Skibidi Toilet and that scares me.
If it helps, it wouldn't be their first time doing this. The Incredibles also had some anachronistic elements (Not talking about all of the sci-fi gadgets and such), like VHS tapes around 1962. Luca, set in the 50s, also had some small stuff like this, like the Moon landing of 1969, and a record of Turning Red's 4★Town, from 2002. And in Ratatouille it's the other way around!
@@antonioaguirre5464well if I recall...Pixar, like many other Disney works, almost never put in a specific time period in their films! they're only largely implied!
I don't see why they have to time jump as the fans grow up like that i never felt a time jump with the first 2 and and same 3 and 4 the only time they dud was between 2 and 3
If the animation guild has to strike, they better mention that there needs to be less sequels and live action remakes for Disney and universal and more original ideas
I mean, I'll take sequels over Live-Action remakes any day of the week, honestly. I wish we had sequels like those from the times of Toy Story 2 and 3...
I'm pretty sure toy story was ruined by #4 with that weird ass ending and the way Bonnie treated woody right after Andy gave him to her She'd rather have a fucking spork than woody that just ruins the whole ending to toy story 3
Especially considering that Bonnie LOVED Woody in Toy Story 3, and insisted on keeping him at the end. (Pretty sure she might've been playing with him a lot in the short movies that came out after 3 too)
Thing is like the first movie already treated the "Not being played with" topic before Toy story 1: Andy quits playing with Woody to introduce Buzz Lightyear, Woody and buzz go trough an entire adventure because Woody got mad at it Afterwards Andy actually misses Woody and when they get back, Andy plays with Woody and Buzz Had Woody just chosen to go away from Andy because of this betrayal, Andy would start to miss Woody and be pretty confused on where he's at
@@LittleNoddyLemmyVideos you make a really good point but the only thing is that Bonnie is different from Andy it really does feel like the writers made Bonnie forget woody even exists even tho he was a big deal to her in the 3rd film and I have a sneaking suspicion that John lasseter wanted to sell Forky toys
Exactly. And 4 ruined Woody and Buzz's and Jessie's characters by making Jessie (the toy who loves adventure and action) be claustrophobic again at the start when she learnt in 2 to not be afraid and later she popped a tyre and stayed in the RV, made Buzz an idiot using his buttons when he's always been able to use his head perfectly in the movies and Woody by 1. Making him run back to the playground instead of hiding somewhere else to get away from the kids. 2. Have him be afraid to speak his mind about lost toys and being loved by a kid with Bo when he's never afraid to stand up to anyone, even her. And 3. Go back to Bo when he already made a promise to Andy to male Bonnie happy and was being played with the entire movie (so that little excuse can't be used). There's more in GamingMagic13's video: "How Toy Story 4 Ruined Everything". Only thing I'm giving it points for was the visuals because that was amazing. The characters not so much...
I also thought of that, but here's the thing, Toy Story 3's theme of Andy growing up and stop playing with his toys was introduced and discussed in Toy Story 2, so in an ideal case we could have a pretty good film that is to That time forgot, as 3 is to 2... if that makes sense.

Toy Story 4 still exist. Toy Story 5's concept art shows that Jessie still has Woody's sheriff badge. The gang will probably have to bring Woody back because they think he's the only one who can solve the problem.
this sounds so boring and unoriginal. what was even the point of Toy Story 4 then? honestly at this point, 3 was really the idea ending to this series.
Toys vs iPad kids kinda reminds me of monster’s inc. Remember, we were told that kids weren’t getting scared anymore so the solution to that was laughter.
Toy Story4 is one of the worst films I have ever seen…it shoves almost all of Woody’s actual friends in a van with nothing to do…had a conflict that was completely forced and unnecessary, turned Buzz into an absolute dumbass who couldn’t think for himself, and worst of all, made Woody give up on his friends and kid…I for one would be GLAD if it got retconned in Toy Story 5… But even if it doesn’t, the story ended beautifully in Toy Story 3, so I probably won’t acknowledge this film anyway.
I cant wait to hear the plot seriously i am because its really hard to make a 4th or 5th movie because everything that needed to happen to woody already happened in toy story 3 andy grew up he got a new owner thats it
I would like to make 5 the parting gift and love letter to all the fans especially, they might wrap it up with something where every Pixar character sings to You've Got a Friend in Need as a send off for the original voices in case they do not want to do a sixth one just for the money.
Villain of Toy Story 1: A violent crazy kid obsessed with torturing toys. Villain of 2: A locked up prospector who never exprerienced what it's liked to be played with. Villain of 3: An abandoned plush bear who went mad and ruled a daycare with an iron fist. Villain of 4: A doll who spent decades stuck in an antique shop with a broken voice box. Villain of 5: *IPADS*
Technically, Al is the main villain of 2, Prospector is a secondary antagonist since Al is the reason the movie happens in the 1st place by stealing Woody.
This franchise is already dead to me. Toy Story 4 was awful, and I'd sooner burn my actual childhood toys and memories than subject myself to this necromantic cash grab.
Wow, even a guy as cold as Vegeta likes watching animated movies, huh? Anyway, TS5 looks like it'll be a disappointment. Even if it turns out to be decent, they should've ended the series with TS3.
Being honest I'm glad they're bringing Woody back because the fact he left in the 4th movie killed my excitement for the franchise's future (I mean come on, you can't have Toy Story without Buzz AND Woody on the same team) Especially the fact that Woody left for a character that had like 20 minutes of screentime in all of the first 3 movies *combined.*
Maybe they could have it like the new Buzz Lightyear toys have an App that kids can use to make Buzz do things the older model couldn't and Bonnie gets one of them for her Birthday, kinda replicating the first film, and Buzz now in the boots of Woody for a change and maybe making remarks about "This must have been how Woody felt" seeing himself being replaced with this newer high tech version of himself. So the newer Buzz basically shows off his new features and might have some alterer motive and plan to basically have Buzz get lost whilst he replaces him, so Bonnie takes her new Buzz to the Daycare and maybe out of jealousy, Older Buzz goes with them and they have a fight and turns out their is like 49 more of the Newer Lightyear Models that all gang up on Older Buzz, so the gang have to team up to get Buzz back and to defeat the Newer Buzz who's basically turned into a dictator using the other Newer Buzzes as his lackies (kinda like a call back to the 3rd Film) and Woody hears word about Buzz being in danger so he goes to help and turns out the Buzz in the concept art is actually Evil Buzz, not the older buzz who is locked in a Locker at Bonnie's School. Just an Idea I had
@demosneokleous4877 lol maybe son, I'm getting old. Now that I think about it, It might have been plans for toy story 4, since he said TS3 came out 2010. I shoulda just looked it up lol
Concept art is concept, but it often is still very similar to the plot, the concept art for GxK was different than the film, but it was still similar and gave the same message. This movie is gonna suck like the last one, but if they introduce an omniscient iPad villain or something, that would be interesting
@@beaufonville4454 Pixar isn't a perfected studio, nobody is, it can and has pushed out crap titles and one of them was Toy Story 4 and I bet it's gonna be the same for 5.
NO. If anything, they listened to the fans and fixed what Toy Story 4 has caused. Literally NO ONE wanted Woody to abandon his friends and especially BUZZ LIGHTYEAR after 3 movies just to simp for a toxic porcelain gf.
Okay? lol sometimes you don’t get what you want and sometimes it’s what makes sense that’s more important. Woodys arc is ended perfectly in 4. Just bc people “didn’t like it” doesn’t mean it’s bad
@@Brandon_4272 The only problem with your statement Is that the ending IS BAD. without going into any personal opinion or bias, This is still a terrible ending that puts the characters in places that don’t make sense for their overall characters. It’s not “character development” or “a character arch” when a character (Woody) goes against everything he believed in the original trilogy. It’s a total bastardization of his character.
@@Brandon_4272 "sometimes you don't get what you want and sometimes it's what makes sense that's more important", yes that is a fair point, except NOTHING in the movie makes sense, even the writers themselves in the commentary said so, each one of the characters is OOC (especially Woody in THAT ending, and Buzz, Buzz never needed to push his buttons to know what to do)
@@bluefeather9969It makes total sense, people just don't understand what the 4th movie really means. It's about Woody finding a new way to adhere to his greatest belief. What Woody cares about above all else is making a child happy. He realizes that he can't do that staying with Bonnie, since she doesn't really pay attention to him. And he realizes that helping Bo Peep help other lost toys find owners is both a vaid way for a toy to serve it's purpose, and more fulfilling than just staying in Bonnie's closet all day. He may have to say goodbye to his friends, but he knows Buzz and Jessie will be good leaders. It's an incredibly mature conclusion about growing up and moving on to new chapters in life. And the 5th movie is set to ruin all of it.
It would've been pretty interesting if they either made a Toy Story movie without Woody in it, or one where Woody and Bo are the only characters left from the original trilogy. Instead, we're returning to a 30 year old status quo.
Oh absolutely. You're telling me the same Woody who, in Toy Story 3, learned that above all else, staying with the gang was what was most important, thus leaving Andy so he could stay with them, decided to abandon said people in Toy Story 4, because he found the girl he liked? Seems SLIGHTLY contradictory.
Like bro, Woody, you already went trough not being the favorite toy *IN THE FIRST FLIPFLOPPING MOVIE* THERE IT WAS PROVEN THAT ANDY CLEARLY MISSED WOODY WHEN HE WAS ACTUALLY GONE. WHO SAYS BONNIE WOULDN'T FEEL REALLY BAD EITHER
Still hard to forget the 4th film since Forky is still included in this film despite the fact that he is a trash character with no relevant plot in the films

Bonnie was 3-4 years old in 2010, she should've been a teenager 12-13 in TS4 (2019) by that logic she should be 19-20 years old by 2026 she's supposed to be older than Andy in Toy Story 3 by this point FFS!
I don't see why they have to time jump 1 and 2 didnt time jump to me they were 4 years apart and Molly was still a baby and 3 and 4 didnt do it either only between 2 and 3 was the only time they did
I don't think Woody joining the crew again necessarily ruins TS4. Maybe he takes a bus and just comes to visit his friends every once in a while, and also checks if Bonnie's OK. Or maybe, the crew has the issue with Bonnie being into electronics now and are asking for Woody's help. If Woody's reunion with the crew is merely temporary then that's OK in my book.
Why would he care about Bonnie when he left her lmfao. And why would he check up on his friends when he’s the one who left them behind Also, you’re making the rest of the toys seem incompetent without woody if they need his help, so why not just have woody there since the toys can’t do anything without him
@@BabyGirlTiny Woody might've left Bonnie and his friends to live the life of a lost toy, but that doesn't mean he doesn't give a damn about them anymore. He still does care for his friends. Additionally, a toy is loyal to his kid. Therefore, even though he doesn't live with Bonnie anymore, he still wants to make sure she's alright here and there. Also, I'm not making the other toys incompetent if even Woody can't think of a solution. Imagine the crew trying different ideas, failing with all of them, calling Woody for help, and Woody can't offer any better ideas than them. At that point, they are all equally struggling. And besides, it isn't up to me to say why Woody is in Bonnie's house. Andrew Stanton wrote all of the Toy Story movies and now directs TS5. The man knows the story very well. If he decided to bring Woody back to Bonnie's house, he probably thought of a good justification that doesn't retcon TS4's ending. Even though I personally didn't like the way TS4 went about it, retconing it up front will not be a good decision, and I trust Stanton to come up with a good reason as to why Woody is back with the crew, without contradicting TS4.
I fully agree with this statement I don’t think the writers are dumb enough to completely disregard the 4th movie and how that ended with Woody and Bo peep together as lost toys. I think that the idea of Woody traveling by bus or something of the sort is a pretty neat concept and hope that’s the case.
People Talking about skibidi toilet while I'm talking about WHY ARE THEY'RE MAKING A FIFTH MOVIE, TOY STORY 3 SHOULD'VE BEEN THE END BUT OF COURSE THEY HAVE TO MAKE TOY STORY 4, THEY WOULD'VE NOT MAKE TOY STORY 5 IF WOODY DIDN'T STAY WITH HIS FUCKING CRUSH OR GIRLFRIEND, SKIBIDI TOILET IS NOT EVEN CRINGE, KIDS AND GAMETOONS RUINED IT
Like. Toy Story 4 doesn't have much reason to exist. The first one was about a kid and his toys, the second one about the kid starting to grow and the conflict of being forgotten by him. The third one is about a young adult leaving his toys behind gifting them to a young girl to have a childhood as good as his. The 4th one says screw you here's the shipping shenanigans of Woody.
I'm not the fourth one's biggest fan. But I'm pretty sure it's about a gifted toy, not as appreciated as before by their new owner, asking itself what to do now.
Toy story to me has always had life messages on getting use to change, sticking together and letting go i felt 4 did that and I don't think it ruined much to me sorry dont hate me
When I saw the concept art of Woody back with the Gang, I burst out laughing. The first thing they did when planning the movie was to undo the ending to the fourth. They're gonna essentially copy that frustrating "Gotcha" moment with Thor and the Guardians in Love and Thunder. Woody will only be with Bo for 20 minutes tops and then ditch her for Buzz, Jessie et al straight after. To be fair, good on Woody, he doesn't need a toxic relationship.
Toy story teaches us that you are what you are Toy story 2 teaches us that it's okay If nothing lasts forever because you're still here Toy Story 3 teaches us that it's ok to let things go when you grow up Toy Story 4 teaches us that you should never forget the memories you had with your friends What is Toy Story 5 going to teach us not to use technology? Good luck with that
3:24 Literally because of this big scene in the antique shop I could not watch this, I was so scared where when my uncle put it on he had to force me to watch it
This honestly seems like a stupid idea it really made me laugh. I think the reason there will be a 5th movie is money sequels are performing better than original creations so why even bother with an original idea when you can just bait the nostalgia in people...
I mean, everyone was complaining about Woody saying goodbye to the gang at the end of TS4, so if anything, Disney is answering everyone's prayers by bringing Woody back.
Yah, I agree, and furthermore, the kids being addicted to electronic screens DEFINITELY needs to be looked down on especially if kids are using the internet unsupervised because it's going to make kids grow up with unhealthy addictions.
One thing they could do which honestly would probably work is have the film set one or two years after the fourth one and then have the toys need to actively seek out woody when the iPads cause a crisis because “he would know what to do”
I think there could be 2 reasons why Woody's there in the concept art is because this could either retcon the ending of TS4 or my guess is that Woody could reunite with the gang I really thought this "Toys V.S. Tech" thing was the best way to go for a Toy Story 5 that doesn't involve Andy, and it actually made me kind of excited. I don't know if this will be good, but I do know that Disney will make Tom Hanks and Tim Allen Sheirff Woody and Buzz Lightyear til they're 90 just like Deadpool said huh
I don't think it will at all I think it's going to be a more forward message in how nothing stays the same or lasts forever I think its very possible woody may not be in the movie and the art is nothing but advertisement
Yes! We need to stop young kids from roaming around on the internet unmonitored because it's dangerous! Kids need to start doing more physical activities to keep their brains functioning right!
Toy story 4 was dogshit -they made buzz dumb -made woody SUPER out of character -implied that disabled people "just need to fix themselves" with gabi gabi and her voicebox -the toys are a metaphor for parents and how they will always be there for you but the toy story 4 ending literally says "if you meet someone you love leave your damn kid!"
I have the same concern. The last movie had a perfect finality and sense of growth with Woody finding a new, more fulfilling way to serve his purpose and going out on his own. Unless this is a prequel, you can't just bring him back or you'll regress it all. It undercuts everything that made the 4th movie's ending so poignant and mature. I am intrigued by what they'll do with the toys vs. tech concept, though.
@@grathem9789it really didn't as woody despite believing he can deal with the challenge of letting Andy go he couldn't now that somebody else took his place and it was nearly perfect for woody to not be the main focus anymore but of course they had to somehow ruin it to keep the status quo
@@kakashi6957 he had gotten over this arc of Being replaced, have you not seen the first Toy Story? Hopefully TS5 reverses the damage. Also don't give me, "Bonnie isn't Andy" So what? The entire point of TS3 was him realising that his purpose for Andy was fulfilled, hence why he went with bonnie to bring new happy memories to Bonnie and Most Importantly, Sticking together with his Frie- No! His FAMILY no matter what, that was one of the main points of TS3.
One detail about every Toy Story movie except 2 maybe is that the protagonists don't win, but rather they adapt. In the first movie, Woody acknowledges that Buzz was the favorite and (reluctantly) agrees to share the spot as the favorite toy at the end of the movie. Even in Toy Story 2 they would have lost had Woody not decided to go back home. In the 3rd movie, Andy still leaves them with Bonnie even though Woody was desperate to get back with him despite the movie revolving around the limited time between the drop off at sunnyside and andy leaving for college. Finally in the 4th movie, the toys could never recruit woody to come back. It was pretty much the opposite of the 2nd movie and they had to go on without him. In my opinion, the 5th movie will follow this same outline of the conflict. TL/DR: the protagonists never win in Toy Story
I'd rather have the concept of Bonnie being addicted to the ipad be a pixar short instead of a movie. And the whole premise would be for the gang (EXCEPT WOODY BECAUSE HE'S GONE) to get Bonnie to play with them again after she slowly starts to become addicted. The whole thing could easily be done in 11 minutes. This idea does not need a movie.
Why the hell do people think its weird for woody and buzz to eventually see each other again after Toy Story 4? They didn't say goodbye forever, sure it was implied that it would be for a long time or they wouldn't see each other again but it doesn't mean their paths can't cross again someday
To be honest, I have not watched Toy story 4 but I have watched the others and from what information I have gotten from other people I’ve learned that the toys were a metaphor for parents and the kids playing with the toys were the kids. So in Toy story 4 Woody decides to leave Bonny and go pursue a life with Bo peep, which is his love. But if we put that into the metaphor the previous toy story movies have established. It’s a parental figure leaving their child for somebody they haven’t seen in literal years but still love so they go anyway. Yeah, OK, what a “rough first step.”
The 4th and 5th don’t necessarily sound or look like bad movies. It’s just the franchise ended twice with Toy Story 3 being the perfect ending, which had people tearing up in theaters. But then they made Toy Story 4 which wasn’t a bad movie but just unnecessary. Also toys vs technology being the 5th movie is actually very accurate. Like I said they aren’t necessarily bad they are just unneeded.
As a person who grew up with Toy Story, I hope they just stop the tear jerking endings when they basically gonna undo what they did in the last film. It is an interesting concept to tackle on the idea of iPads being in the mix. I can see the idea of them doing another buzz lightyear being in the mix too. Like say bonnie broke or lost buzz but instead of fixing him, their parents buy the new buzz lightyear that can move and talk and operate via WiFi connection to the iPad. A lot like the real life comparison of toy robots that needs an internet connection like the robosen buzz lightyear toy we have irl. Only thing is that it probably can connect to other buzz lightyear toys a lot like how Disney has those Toy Story toys that can talk to one another but these buzz toys can similarly do that since they are WiFi connected properly via Bluetooth making one rogue buzz activate other rouge buzz toys. It’s not the first time movies has done the idea similar to this. Small soldiers, cult of chucky, Childs play reboot, Ron’s gone wrong, etc. so it’s possible that idea would be good for a Toy Story movie. Only issue tho. Woody. As much as I can think, I can’t think of how in any way would they bring back woody. I can’t imagine if they just go back to the fair, can’t imagine them keeping connections somehow, they did their best to send off woody on a good note that it’s hard to see it work unless they just undo 4. That’s why I hope after this movie, if they wanna make more Toy Story movies til the actors get replaced with AI voices, they gotta make these movies with the legitimate interest of making more. I’m all for more sequels and milking cow dry. That’s how the money comes in. The toys make a lot of money, they have their own land in the parks, rides, movies, shorts, spin off buzz movie, etc. it makes money, but if they wanna continue milking it, they gotta stop making us feel like it’s the last movie when it’s not. It’s just making the people feel lied to.
If Pixar and Disney are making this still in two years, then they don't know what the freak they are doing. Also, it does not make any sense putting woody in toy story 5 I mean he said goodbye.
7:30 reminds me of that time i was going past a clothes market after i looked for some ttte toys and there was a little girl in a stroller who started crying as soon as mum took it away to pay for stuff
To anybody who's wondering why there are so many movies, Toy Story 3 was just the ending to Andy's story, we will most likely never see him again honestly. Toy Story 5 will be the ending of Woody's story and all the other characters. i heard one of the writers say this a while ago i forgot who it was
... I honestly thought they would expand on the buzz video game in the intro of the second movie. Because honestly it would've been more fitting as a 20 min film about buzz finally doing invading a villain's base and then it ends with a young andy playing the game with buzz and woody right beside him.
While I do think that Woody coming back is a bit odd, he could just be returning temporarily to help Bonnie and I do think the story and idea is an interesting one and I am curious to see where it goes.
first of we saw NOTHING of the movie 2nd Ady's story is over , haft the cast is dead it is time we move on and focus on NEW toys same world If toy story can nit sell tickets with out Wood and Buzz and Jessie it doesn't deserve more shots and you don't deserve to be CEO. Whie it is too early to tell the possible story of the film, there is NO reuniting Andy's Toys. Is this the end of Woody and Buz and Jesie? No. But it is the end of Andy owning them and of them working together.

It's quite possible that this one will take place chronologically before Toy Story 4, which would explain why Woody is still there (and why Bo Peep is missing).
My long headcanon: Woody and bopeep are found on top of the carousel by a worker and is brought home to another family; he then reunited with his friends; they then realize that the child is addicted to the iPad and doesn’t play with the toys; so the whole plot of the movie will basically be addressing the rising surge of iPad kids; and it’ll have some wholesome lesson at the end saying “we always worry about our children but in the end it turns out okay”

Also there is a small but real chance that they'll reference Skibidi Toilet and that scares me.
I hope they find a way to make the years make sense. i hope they don't reference skibidi toilet as well

She'd rather have a fucking spork than woody that just ruins the whole ending to toy story 3
Especially considering that Bonnie LOVED Woody in Toy Story 3, and insisted on keeping him at the end. (Pretty sure she might've been playing with him a lot in the short movies that came out after 3 too)
Thing is like the first movie already treated the "Not being played with" topic before
Toy story 1: Andy quits playing with Woody to introduce Buzz Lightyear, Woody and buzz go trough an entire adventure because Woody got mad at it
Afterwards Andy actually misses Woody and when they get back, Andy plays with Woody and Buzz
Had Woody just chosen to go away from Andy because of this betrayal, Andy would start to miss Woody and be pretty confused on where he's at
@@LittleNoddyLemmyVideos you make a really good point but the only thing is that Bonnie is different from Andy it really does feel like the writers made Bonnie forget woody even exists even tho he was a big deal to her in the 3rd film and I have a sneaking suspicion that John lasseter wanted to sell Forky toys

Toy Story 4 was at least decent
Being honest I'm glad they're bringing Woody back because the fact he left in the 4th movie killed my excitement for the franchise's future (I mean come on, you can't have Toy Story without Buzz AND Woody on the same team) Especially the fact that Woody left for a character that had like 20 minutes of screentime in all of the first 3 movies *combined.*
Agreed
not only that, Betty treated Woody like shit during the whole movie and Woody still preferred her than his friends who were with him all these years.

I don't care what you all think. I like the whole franchise in my opinion
I want it to be permanent fuck toy story 4
Why would he care about Bonnie when he left her lmfao. And why would he check up on his friends when he’s the one who left them behind
Also, you’re making the rest of the toys seem incompetent without woody if they need his help, so why not just have woody there since the toys can’t do anything without him
Having Woody come back just whenever defeats the purpose of 4's ending which already defeated the purpose of 3's.
Maybe we should at least give Toy Story 5 a chance?

If they reference the toilet with a head (I'm NOT gonna say that word) I'm walking out
I'd rather have the concept of Bonnie being addicted to the ipad be a pixar short instead of a movie. And the whole premise would be for the gang (EXCEPT WOODY BECAUSE HE'S GONE) to get Bonnie to play with them again after she slowly starts to become addicted. The whole thing could easily be done in 11 minutes. This idea does not need a movie.
pixar better have a damn good reason why woody is back if they dont this is already looking like a bad production
It's just concept art
Why would Pixar post misleading concept art on their official page without thinking it through. We’re right to be concerned
There's a logic behind concept art
Right! We don’t even know the context.

I thought of cancelled Toy Story 3 be circle 7 of the buzz’s malfunction
Why the hell do people think its weird for woody and buzz to eventually see each other again after Toy Story 4? They didn't say goodbye forever, sure it was implied that it would be for a long time or they wouldn't see each other again but it doesn't mean their paths can't cross again someday
Maybe that promotional image is a flashback? Hopefully?

To be honest, I have not watched Toy story 4 but I have watched the others and from what information I have gotten from other people I’ve learned that the toys were a metaphor for parents and the kids playing with the toys were the kids.
So in Toy story 4 Woody decides to leave Bonny and go pursue a life with Bo peep, which is his love. But if we put that into the metaphor the previous toy story movies have established. It’s a parental figure leaving their child for somebody they haven’t seen in literal years but still love so they go anyway.
Yeah, OK, what a “rough first step.”
I hated part 4 so I'm glad, hope it deletes part 4!
Same
AKA The Cars 3 treatment.
Unlikely since 4 overall is more liked then disliked
The 4th and 5th don’t necessarily sound or look like bad movies. It’s just the franchise ended twice with Toy Story 3 being the perfect ending, which had people tearing up in theaters. But then they made Toy Story 4 which wasn’t a bad movie but just unnecessary. Also toys vs technology being the 5th movie is actually very accurate. Like I said they aren’t necessarily bad they are just unneeded.
Hopefully that's just a flashback scene, but eitherway it is just concept art so I doubt it'll be anything serious
If you look close at the concept art, Jessie is still wearing Woody's badge. So, they're not acting like Toy Story 4 didn't happen.
True. Why can't people see that?
If Pixar and Disney are making this still in two years, then they don't know what the freak they are doing.
Also, it does not make any sense putting woody in toy story 5 I mean he said goodbye.
No Toy Story 4 deserves it for ruining Toy Story 3s ending

To anybody who's wondering why there are so many movies, Toy Story 3 was just the ending to Andy's story, we will most likely never see him again honestly. Toy Story 5 will be the ending of Woody's story and all the other characters. i heard one of the writers say this a while ago i forgot who it was
I hope I don't cry. 😔
“They’re gonna make him do this until he’s 90!”
I hope they don’t rise of skywalker this shit and make toy story 4 meaningless .
I doubt it I personally dont think woody will be in the movie so much it's just concept art they prob had to put him in for during the presentation
Toy Story 4 was always meaningless
As if Toy Story 4 had any meaning to begin with
Somehow Woody returned
That’s also known as the Cars 3 treatment.
... I honestly thought they would expand on the buzz video game in the intro of the second movie.
Because honestly it would've been more fitting as a 20 min film about buzz finally doing invading a villain's base and then it ends with a young andy playing the game with buzz and woody right beside him.
Honestly, I’ll be glad if they erase Toy Story 4
While I do think that Woody coming back is a bit odd, he could just be returning temporarily to help Bonnie and I do think the story and idea is an interesting one and I am curious to see where it goes.
It would not surprise me if we get a Toy Story 6 and more Toy Story sequels at this point
Me neither because it does not take a satisfying conclusion to end a series so popular it takes a flop
if the film DOES go the route of "AI is bad", it'd be ironic to make that point when Disney ends up using it to replace its actors\voice actors.
first of we saw NOTHING of the movie
2nd Ady's story is over , haft the cast is dead it is time we move on and focus on NEW toys same world
If toy story can nit sell tickets with out Wood and Buzz and Jessie it doesn't deserve more shots and you don't deserve to be CEO.
Whie it is too early to tell the possible story of the film, there is NO reuniting Andy's Toys.
Is this the end of Woody and Buz and Jesie? No. But it is the end of Andy owning them and of them working together.
You cant say a movie is bad by one literal image
Bro, Toy Story 4 already ruined the franchise.

It's quite possible that this one will take place chronologically before Toy Story 4, which would explain why Woody is still there (and why Bo Peep is missing).
Disney killed Toy Story... I hope Shrek 5 won't get in the same wreck as this.
Steve Jobs was behind iPad and Pixar and now this story is about the toys vs iPad… crazy
1 to 3 was better
My long headcanon:
Woody and bopeep are found on top of the carousel by a worker and is brought home to another family; he then reunited with his friends; they then realize that the child is addicted to the iPad and doesn’t play with the toys; so the whole plot of the movie will basically be addressing the rising surge of iPad kids; and it’ll have some wholesome lesson at the end saying “we always worry about our children but in the end it turns out okay”
