    Hey man, im a surfer from Israel.
    The surf is inconsistent but in the winter season you should get around 1.5 days a week where its above waist high which is nice. it can go as high as overhead or even double although when its that high it usually comes with lots of wind so you can only surf in the bays. in the summer its usually knee to waist high most of the week, fun softboard longboard waves. if you come again i could give you more info.
    nice video!

      Hey mate!! Ok sick, thanks for the info. It's definitely somewhere I'd like to come back to (but check the chart first) haha so I'll hit you up when i do!!

    Hi, i surf in israel for almost seven years now and inconsistent waves are the tip of the iceberg but, peak of winter after a big storm conditons get like 3-4 ft or 1-1.5 meters and can be loads of fun

      Yeah I can imagine! Would love to go back and time it with a big storm haha!!

    I worked for an Israel based company and stayed right on the beach (Marriott) often times. I scored December 2012 shoulder high+ at Hilton beach which is a limestone reef break in Tel Aviv. I rented the worst possible board ever and still scored some great waves. I mean super good, critical and hollow and I was pretty much the only person paddling for them. I also surfed down by Jaffe on some some nice reefs down there, but the waves were not all that great at the time, but have great potential.

      Sick! yeah I've heard of that but didn't venture down there cus it was basically flat! But would love to go back on a swell to see what it can do!

    Great vid Dan! What made you want to go to Israel? How's the water temp? Wind? I love Jewish people and would like to visit one day,and I'm fully behind them politically wise.😎

      @DanHarmon123  Год назад

      Hey Jordy! So yeah, I've met heaps of Israeli surfers and just thought it would be a super interesting place to visit. Water temp was fine in a 3/2, light winds and sunshine (15 degrees air) when I was there in December!!

    On rare occasions I've seen 8' breakers but typically during a front on average you can get about 5 or 6 footers ! I remember when I've first come here in 2016 and going through customs Was so much fun , a very cute israeli girl was joking with me , She was so sweet and friendly as most people here are , it's well known that how protective they can be but they have too with what they go through I mean really who can blame them? Being American through I never had any trouble at all , as a matter of fact I had help from many here in different ways ! Shalom from Israel 🇮🇱....

    Shame there where no good waves we usually have a few good surf days a month that are over 3 feet but it's usually during or after storms

    kinda risky to come to israel only to surf, but there is a lot to do here anyway, and sounds like a cool adventure. on December to February it pretty consistent when there are a lot of stormy days, and in between the jetties there are some cool slabs as you said that are interesting to explore in stormy or big swell days, especially when the wind stops. for example here

    it gets kinda crowded and more in the summer, outside of the city there is less crowd and there are beach breaks all over the long coastline

    • @DanHarmon123
      @DanHarmon123  Год назад

      Yes i did think that but thought I'd risk it hahah. But yeah, next time i'll time it with a swell for sure hahha! But that's sick and thanks heaps for the info!
