Kind of a light hook for coho ain't it? IMO, just tie this on a shank.
I don't think so at all. I just compared it to a Gamakatsu B10S in size 2 and they are pretty much the same. It is heavier wire than Gamakatsu T10-6H salmon hook in size 2.
