    You had me at Costco. This is by far the easiest printer (P900) I have ever used. The iOS app works perfectly and I easily printed a iPhone panoramic on 13x19 paper. This will be perfect for sharing quick 4x6s and 5x7s with friends and family. Great review.

    I’m totally with you regarding the value of printing. After decades of using, mostly, slide film and with no darkroom it was too expensive to print more than a handful, so until this digital era all I could do was project or look at a light box. I stated printing with the very first colour printer (just 2 cartridges!) I could afford and then one of the first Epson photo printers, in the 90s, but results were very on-off, colour management tricky etc. so gave in. But now, after a couple of years with a 3880 and now a Canon Pro 10 the joy of prints that look like I had them on screen has totally reinvigorated my love of photography. So, thanks for featuring printing so much here (and previously on that “other site”!), it’s inspiring.

    When I bought mine, I asked Epson about the starter inks, they said they are full cartridges. The ink gets used up priming the ink lines, works out pretty expensive buying a spare set of inks along with the printer. The print results have been amazing. I wouldnt print using wireless in case of a drop in signal, would be a waste of ink and paper. Thanks for the video.

      my wireless connection hasn't failed me yet! The P900 is much cheaper with inks since you get larger cartridges.

    Thank you for your very informative video! I recently bought the Epson P700. I have a problem that surfaces occasionally - the printer doesn't print the whole picture, just a strip down the side. Have you ever run into this situation? Would appreciate your input. I am using Photoshop Elements 6 but don't expect that could have anything to do with it...

    • @patrickvergoosen
      @patrickvergoosen Год назад

      I’ve been reading that this problem can occur when you use Wifi to connect to your printer. So use an ethernet cable, connect it to a switch (so your cabled network) and try again. And please les us know if this was indeed the solution.

    Hi, thinking about buying SC P700. Do you know if nozzle are clogged and you want to choose head clean if you can clean nozzles of specific color? As there are 10 different colors and only one is clogged then it is wasting of ink to clean all colors. So I am courious if printer can clean only one. Thank you

    Nice video Kevin...I have been waiting for years to replace my trusty Epson Stylus 890 (yes..890 from the days!). Went thru ink like a baby with a bottle! Also lots of cartridges as the ink will eventually dry out, and the head unclogging was time consuming. This new 700 I think is the way to go now and I have many pictures waiting for a long time for good printing. How is the ink life once the cartridge is opened? I which manufactures will work in ink preservation/sealing of some form - but I guess ink sales is where they make their money! Be safe. Cheers,
    Alejandro

    Nice review, I’m looking at the P900 as the extra cost of ink is worth it over its little brother for twice the capacity. I’m also liking Canon imagegraph300 but I’m a little hesitant over its 14.4ml cartridges which are much cheaper to replace. Will you be getting a P900 for review?

    Thank you. I bought this printer. Havent set it up yet. I was told if I do not print regularly then the print head will clog. I was wondering if you encounter any such issues or what you would do if I have to store the printer away without printing for a few weeks?

    Thank you for this. I just received my P700 this morning. After much research I had originally decided to buy the P900 mainly due to the economics of the ink, but that printer is nowhere to be found either in the U.S. or in Canada and given the reviews of the quality of the print output of the P700 and my own impatient nature, I switched my order to the P700. ... Would you recommend feeding better quality Fine Art paper through the front feeder. At about the 8:10 point of your video that appears to be what you say - but if you can confirm, I would much appreciate that. Thank you again "_

      too bad you didn't wait for the P900. Much cheaper ink costs and you can print large to boot! And now you get a $200 rebate!

    Not so interesting when one compares the P900 to the P700. One has to buy a complete set of inks with the P700 ($380) to print anything while the P900 ($400 MORE than the P700!) has equivalent extra ink after setup to print included. How can Epson charge $380 for P700 cart set (10 x 25ml = 250ml) and only charge $40 more (10 carts x $42 = $420) for 10 x 50ml (500 ml) of ink. I think Kevin missed the ball on this review of the P700.

    • @KevinRaber
      @KevinRaber 4 года назад +2

      Henry Stoffel when we get the P900 we will look at what you mention and will cover it great detail. Mark Segal will do that review and he is a sticker for that kind of detail. My focus was on a printer for everyone that can be used at home.

    • @gosman949
      @gosman949 4 года назад

      Yes I noticed that too. The P900 makes more economical sense. But I want to know the size difference since I don't have a lot of room for a printer.

      @@KevinRaberwith the P600 ypu have the 13” roll feeder included. With the P900 you have to buy an external one. So the gain of buying a P900 goes completely in this feeder (and you lose a lot of space with it to).

    la impresora mas decepcionante del mundo, tan pronto le instalas los nuevos cartuchos que vienen dentro de la caja que supuestamente son nuevos, te pide que los remplaces por otros nuevos por que la primera vez que los usas se gastan solo en el llenado del cabezal y las mangeras de la impresora tienes que invertir nuevamente 10 cartuchos de. tinta que te valen $400 DOLARES
    es un ROBO!!!!!
