There are completely different settings available when you choose roll paper, and try Gallery Wraps etc. I wish they'd been covered too.
Yes in advanced Black and White mode you can save a tone preset. Took me a while to find it. Very handy.
Hi, I am from uk and have been told it works on epson et8550 printer but when I download it I can't find it anywhere on my p.c. someone told me to download it from epson uk instead of epson usa but I can't find anywhere on the uk site to download it, any help please ?
How do I know if I have the latest updated firmware? I see nowhere to go to check for updates.
The only problem I see with the EPL software is that it will only print a flattened image - if you try to print an image with layers, it will only print the top layer. Printing from Photoshop, through the Epson driver, the image prints as it appears on the screen - all layers are intergrated as seen on-screen.
I recently purchased the SC-P900. I plan on using the Epson Print Layout for printing. I am a bit confused if I still need to make all the media settings in the printers LCD screen if I made the settings in the Epson Print Layout. Thanks for your informative videos.
My sizes don't include 11 x 14 and when I try to add a custom size it won't allow me to add anything larger than 8.5. Any tips?
My last rant about the characters bug was for the epson p700 printer. it is next to the Black Enhance Overcoat and the Gloss Smoothing options check boxes. The printer settings for the P600 have no characters.

Here a question: my Epson Print Layout Software is working extreme slowly out of Photoshop, while when using the stand alone version everything is working smoothly - any idea what goes wrong? Thank you!
I have 3 Epson printers (Stylus Pro 3880, SureColor P800 and SureColor P900). In Photoshop, when I go to File>Print>Print Settings, under Print Quality I see Max Quality and Quality Options. Is there a difference between choosing Max Quality or Quality Options and moving the slider to 5 when the Quality Options window opens up? I notice that if I use Epson Print Layout, however, and go to Max Quality there is no slider. Does that mean that the slider is not needed and it is already at the maximum quality? Thank you very much. I appreciate all you do to explain quality printing.
Wy my epson not found printer only with epson print layout? Others apps works great but epson print cant find my printer
Am I correct in assuming that if I use Epson Print Layout it means that the option "Photoshop manages colors" cannot be used? Thank you very much.
I have a P, thank you Dano, "photo" 7000 and a 3880. I keep the 7000 set to photo black ink and the 3880 to matt black. I LOVE this software but everything I see says it isn't "supported" for the 3880. I tried printing a few from EPL on the 3880 and they looked great. Does EPL work with a 3880 or should I use LR/PS or QumageOne, none of which work as well. I started printing around 2015 and watched Dano and Scott Kelby's class as my starting point. PS printing It was a cumbersome nightmare compared to this program.
Does not seem to work with Epson ET-3850.
You showed it working from within Photoshop. How do you set it up to work from within Lightroom?

several bugs in EPL that i have experienced. I downloaded it with the mac big sur option. launched EPL and there are Chinese or Japanese characters on the settings page. I uninstalled EPL and chose mac os mojave option and installed EPL without the characters.
This is the big bug. The Stand alone EPL app will not recognize or open a tif file. When I launch EPL with Photoshop, EPL opens the tif file. this happens with Mojave and Big Sur. The stand alone EPL opens jpg, Fuji, Nikon, Olympus raw files and PS dng. Alas no tif file. Is there a fix for these bugs?
Dan. Please. I love this application, but surely there is a way to sort the list of papers in alphabetical order.
I'm not able to use the Epson Print layout on my laptop with my ET8550. It doesn't find the printer 😢
If you are on a Mac, this happens because macOS sets the printer up as Air Printer. If that's the case, uninstall the printer in the System Settings. Next, add it again, but instead of selecting the printer that it suggests, click on Select Software and manually select ET-8550 from the list. After that it should work. You should not see "AirPrinter" in the model. But if you're on Windows I have no clue.
Does Epson print Layout works with PDF´s?
Hi Men. Do you know how to disable the auto cut feature when using Epson Print Layout? I know how to do it in Photoshop. I have a brand new Epson P7570. When I disable "auto cut" in the printer settings itself it still cuts after printing. I do have "print cutting guideline" selected but it makes no difference. I'm printing on Epson Hot Press Bright and I've read I should not auto cut fine art papers. I've read the manual etc. Seems like just setting "auto cut" to off would do just that. I'm stumped. Thank you for your help.
Changing the print orientation the software is changing the image size. You have to readjust the size manually after you changed the orientation. In addition to that the choice of the orientation doesn't impact the media orientation in the printer. What you see on the screen is not what you get out of your printer. This software is waste of paper, ink, time and money! Just big crap.
