- CROCHET THIS BEAUTIFUL LACY PATTERN THAT IS PERFECT FOR SCARVES, WRAPS, COWLS, CUSHIONS, ETC.
I MADE A SCARF USING DIVANTE GLITTER YARN FROM THE RANGE (uk). THE RECOMMENDED HOOK SIZE IS 4MM BUT IT IS DEFINITELY A CHUNKY YARN
I DID THE WRAPS PER INCH TO CONFIRM THIS😉 I FOUND A 6.5MM HOOK GIVES THE PERFECT EFFECT FOR ME. IT REALLY IS A LOVELY YARN TO WORK WITH .
THE PATTERN IS WORKED IN MULTIPLES OF 8 + 2.
I STARTED WITH A FOUNDATION CHAIN OF 26 FOR MY SCARF.
IT IS 9" WIDE AND 68" LONG. THE YARN COMES IN 100G BALLS AND EACH BALL HAS 150M. THE SCARF TOOK JUST OVER 2 AND A HALF BALLS, APPROXIMATELY 393M.
IN THE VIDEO I SHOW YOU HOW TO CREATE A SHELL EDGE ON BOTH ENDS OF YOUR PROJECT IF YOU ARE MAKING A SCARF OR A WRAP.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY

Hi this is so beautiful.thankyou for sharing this with us.
I want to crochet a scarf for wedding mass/occasions in gold yarn. Please do you know the measurements? thanks
That sounds lovely. I give the measurements in the description box for chunky yarn with a 6.5mm hook. It is 9" x 68"If your yarn is different just decide how wide you would like it to be. It works well in finer yarn but you will need more multiples of 8 + 2 to get the width you prefer. 😊
@@TiaraLaceCrochet Thanks so much 🇲🇹
Hi I'm thinking of doing this as a shawl for a baby, do you think I could put a border on it and if so any ideas xxxxxx
That sounds like a lovely idea. I think a little shell edging up the sides would work well and i would leave the ends as they are as they are already scalloped. In the video I show how to get both ends the same....😊
@@TiaraLaceCrochet thank you for your ideas xxxxx
How many stitches do I need to make a baby's blanket i think it would be so beautiful thank you
Sorry for the late reply. Make a swatch in your chosen yarn, make a note of the number of chains you used for your swatch, (not counting the turning chains) then measure the width of the swatch. Decide how wide you would like your blanket to be and divide this by the width of your swatch. For example your original swatch measures 10 inches and you used 27 chains, you want a blanket that is 60 inches wide, divide 60 (finished width of blanket) by 10 ( width of swatch) = 6, this means you need to make the width of 6 swatches to get the finished width of your blanket. If you know it took you 27 chs to make one swatch but you need the equivalent of 6 swatches to give you the width for a blanket simply multiply 6 x 27 = 162. Take into account to add turning chains at the end only.
Hope this helps. Susan.
@TiaraLaceCrochet thank you so much for your reply this is very helpful. Think it would make a beautiful blanket ❤️
