- Two of the 21 patrons who tragically died at the Enyobeni Tavern in East London will be buried today.
19 empty coffins are laid out at the Scenery Park Sports Ground where the funeral service will take place.
Police minister Bheki Cele pays tribute.

We are honestly growing very tired & impatient with this Bheki Cele act of always showing up to offer condolences to grieving families after the incidents- we nolonger want condolences & the many promises he always makes to have the perpetrators arrested after the incidents.We want him to prevent these incidents from happening,by making sure that his police are pro-active in enforcing by-laws,police must start patrolling the streets to search for any misconducts- if he should start micro-managing his police, he must.We have murders who roam the streets freely & huge bag-lock of unsolved murder cases,& outlets that run illegally🤞

This whole thing needs a public enquiry - why was the tavern open after hours? Why were underage teenagers in it? Why were the doors locked? Why haven’t we heard news about postmortems before this ceremony? What was the police role in allowing such a tavern to operate seemingly for years? This whole thing displays symptoms of undesirable society behaviour? This seems to have been turned into a political event to give an imbecile politician opportunity to sing and to deviate attention away from the harder facts. Public will focus on the tavern owner and the underlying reasons will continue.

I don't get it to why weren't there any of the adults who were there at the tavern amongst the people who died. Condolences to parents, family, friends. OK why is the President there because clearly his trired. His sleeping. Why they attending because people die everyday. Sadly this happened but they must investigate how before funeral. Is this now closed? People blame tavern. How do we know this does not happen always but that night the persons working must be honest. What happened? Teachers complain kids don't respect anymore. This incident will teach parents to watch their kids closely. Kids sometimes lie to us about whereabouts etc. This is sad. So sorry. The youth must learn from this and our government must show us changes. Taverns must not sell alcohol to underage. They must explain etc.
