    this is the most helpful video i’ve watched so far but i’m still confused. do i need to buy a cord to hook it up from my router to the 8 port thing??
    explain it to me like you would a child lol i am very slow at understanding tech stuff like this. please?? 😅

      you would need another cat 6 cable to connect from the router to the switch, which you would just plug it into the first port

    So quick question, your up link cat.6 cable is from your router or modem/router combo correct? That would give the switch the lan connectivity right? And now you can add up to 7 more devices. If I have that correct my last question is would another switch of a different manufacturer on the same network cause issues ?

      You're correct! No issues with using switches of different manufactures on the same lan.
