Thanks! I have a question about the remove duplicates portion. Are the rows associated with the duplicates deleted too? Or would only the duplicates in the column be deleted and shifted upward (which mixes up the rows)?

Hi, now i understand it. Yes, it can be done, you would have 1st extract the content from teh cell using LEFT or RIGHT formula in combination with FIND formula an then you can add them. Its tough to do though. You learn about these formulas on my website HTTP://WWW.MYELESSON.ORG

These are a good indication of Excel skills. Especially VLOOKUP and Pivots, you can learn a lot form your candidate questioning these skills.

You can use pivot tables in excel.
