This is a MASTERPIECE. It features a lot of references to the older games (but also referencing the AW2 plotline), using visual cues to demonstrate what the lyrics are refering to. The graphic design is top notch too, with slick transitions and clever placement of the lyrics themselves. Thank you for sharing this!
Honestly this is insanely well made I love that you brought scenes from American nightmare and everything this is pure art and why I love alan wake and its incredibly deep story telling and the lyric placement was top tier having the signs in the subway read it out and stuff absolutely love this
I love how you incorporated each of the games from the Remedy FBC universe. Now I’m thinking what it would look like if you did the same style with Yoton Yo
В очередной раз пересматриваю эту красоту! Это великолепно! Редко встретишь такую визуальную любовь к величавшей игре и лучшему персонажу! Снова спасибо таланту Bam Rainey! Прекрасно и ни каплей меньше!
@bamrainey I was so sad to just see him mentioned in AW2 and not actually in the game, not even the DLCs, I really really hope he actually comes back in AW3 (whenever that is)
Beautiful video! Really well made! I hope you will make more gmv of alan wake, especially the second one that has really beautiful visuals! You're talented!
This is a fantastic video. If you ever do a revision I would suggest that you add more Alice. I think this song especially mirrors what we know of her story from Alan Wake 2.
Thank you! The thing with Alice is that there is not that many footage of her. I didn't wanna use her from the first game since her face doesn't look good there. I still didn't have a chance and pleasure to play the sequel (shame, I know), but as far as I know there is a video message from her with different actress and that's it. I might be wrong. But at least I had live-action footage from American Nightmare to use.
@@bamrainey there is more than one message. Finding them becomes a crucial part of Alan's quest to escape. And through them he discovers some things that she has done which directly impacts his efforts to escape. Fantastic game. Definitely play it asap! :) Also, I especially love the way you compare and overlap the scenes of Jesse and Alan sitting at their respective desks.
My friend found inspiration for his "book" in this song... as well as its sequel, with other musicians he continues his "work". It's not that I don't believe in him, I just had/have a weird feeling when he said "Man, wait! this is it!" when I was playing Alan Wake 2 from the beginning (when this soundtrack started playing)
The bureau already existed, as he said to Saga in Alan Wake 2 that Alex was never his creation as the person has to exist for him to write them in the story. Thst means he didn't create the fbc that already existed. How he influences the events of control is what u meant to say and I also want to know. I want an interaction between him, Jesse and Dylan and polaris.
This is one of the best and should be used as official music video and also the promotional for the next game as part of the Remedy Connected Universe.
Thanks for pointing that out, you are the first one to do so. I really tried to mimic Night Springs opening. Recently I replayed the game and realised that it looks a lot different in the game, but the reference I found while making a video had this kind of light traveling upwards.
Wow it's look like the official remedy video, fantastic job! I know how much it took effort to create that. Is there will be version for "take control" ? =)
Please, PLEASE make other like this but with the song WIDE AWAKE from the same game This video is perfect, if you make other with that song you will make art GREAT, GREAT video man
So many people ask for that song! Maybe I should think about it, even though I don't really like it. I mean, I hated it when I heard it before playing the game, but after the game it grew on me a little bit. Just a bit 🙂
Wow man! This is really impressive! I'm lucky there were no spoilers Coz I haven't got the second game yet either. 😂 Honestly, well done, very emotive! (also I used After Effects in college and really couldn't remember the name of it till now, so cheers!)
I know this is my 2nd comment, but this is really amazing. Have you considered doing animation and video editing tutorial videos? You have a great skill, I'd imagine a lot of people could benefit from your knowledge, and maybe you'd make some add revenue too. Really I've watched video editing and text effect videos, and nobody is doing this as good as you
I'm very flattered to read something like that! But you definitely overrate my skill. I may have managed to assemble a good video but I didn't even use After Effects or something like that. It's all been made in Final Cut Pro. With a little bit of help from Davinci Resolve. That being said, it's not like I had an empty canvas with basic text and somehow made the text look awesome using default tools. There were some plugins involved. Nothing to teach, really. So no, I've never thought about making tutorials. I'm still learning this stuff myself. If you are interested in some particular part of the video, I'll be glad to break it down. Anyway, thanks a lot!
Well you put it together so well, I was sure you were mixing Animate with Premiere and After Effects. You definitely have a very artistic eye, this is probably the best fan made music video for a game I've seen. I would have never guessed this was Final Cut and Resolve @@bamrainey
You know a game is a masterpiece when we see stuff like this made by gamers !!!! This game is incredible can’t wait for the two DLC i hope they will bring achievements for harder difficulties, Alan Words like for the lunch box achievements it give more for a second run i have already 100% completion after 1 run i loved the Alan Wake remastered achievements hunting !!!
"Cinema is way ahead of video games industry" they said. Alan Wake 2 said "bitch please, hold my beer" 😂😂😂I This game is as a masterpiece as a true masterpiece can be 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻.
I'm afraid there is no hope, my friend. You see, I made this video before playing the game, and now that I've played it, I... I kinda hated it. And this comes from the guy who played the first one on the release day, finished it about 5 times over the years and almost shit his pants, seeing Alan in Control. So yeah, part 2 did not work for me.
@@bamrainey Hehe, I suppose it's good thing for us funs of the game that you didn't played it before doing the edit because it would probably never been made and it's excellent 😀 . Could you share what part of the game didn't clicked with you? Is it gameplay , story? I have read comments of people who loved AW 1 but they find the gameplay of this too slow or find story to convoluted and didn't liked it in the end.
@@maciej3262 Thank you for saying that about this edit. Talking about what I did not like about the second game, I don't know where to start. Nothing clicked with me. I think that the game should be a game above all things, and not just an artsy exercise. I think AW2 is a very bad game. I feel like Remedy did not think for a split second about the gameplay part and how it all comes together. In AW1, despite the gameplay being repetitive, it looked like they at least tried to make it somehow interesting, there were some different situations, like stationary lamps you could turn on and lure enemies into the light, like crossing a bridge full of floating enemies, overall management and usage of a flashlight… I mean, there were some different situations gameplaywise. Looking back at AW2… Nothing. Zero. I really think they would have benefit if they hired somebody who actually knows a thing or two about survival horrors. Look at the upgrade system. The most redundant upgrade system I have ever seen in any game. And they tell you to explore "previously flooded areas" to find nothing except those rhymes to find a necklace - a necklace that I couldn't care less about because it is a part of that redundant system. The story did nothing for me as well. Overall, I was very surprised that I felt the way I did about the game, considering my feelings for AW1 and Control. Maybe one day I'll revisit it and change my mind, but for now… I tried beating it a second time but it was so unbearable that I gave up and watched true ending on RUclips.
About ten years ago, there were supposed to be a movie. The project died. Now the plan is to make a tv series. AMC is gonna produce it. Hopefully, this time it will actually happen.
