I mean, the evil implications of the harfoots from previous episodes could have been just bad writing (the "no one behind" song, but clearly leaving people behind, laughing at people's death and sending an injured member to the tail...), but with the last episode it's clear they set them up this way intentionally, the line "take the wheels of their cart out and leave them", wtf, they were clearly going for this and it's disgusting

I haven't faced a micro aggression since this show started except once when I accidently saw myself in the mirror. As a white male my reflection was a blatant and in my face reminder of the power of the patriarchy, I now close my eyes whenever looking in the mirror to avoid offending myself.

That scene of Galadriel fighting bunch of men is even more ridiculous when you consider they are recruits and she is supposed to train them. She is not teaching them anything, she is just showing off like a narcissist she is.
It's not unusual for a teacher to first show some cocky students their place. But normally the blow has to blunted a bit and followed by good advise and showing them that you will actually teach them something and not non-stop humiliate them. Seems like the forgot the second part.
Also if we'd follow the lore even these recruits would be 8 feet supermen. I still have no problem with her beating them but her behaviour is the problem.
In a strange twist, that fight scene, when taken out of the context of the show and instead viewed in the LotR narrative, it actually made sense that an elf would be a better swordsman than a human, particularly a 2,000 year old elf versus a half dozen 20-somethings recruits. Elves are magic, and so have preternatural strength and agility, and again she would have centuries of experience. And I actually think the choreography was pretty well done, with that considered.
Of course the problem is not with the larger LotR narrative, the problem is with the show and its appeal to modernity. It's just another example of woke disdain for traditional Western civilization; and that fight scene added to that.
That one shot where she dodges the sword and the camera films down on her face from above with that stupid smile on her face makes me want to beat the wife I don't have

By the end of the entire show in the final season, we will be so advanced thanks to this blessed show that space travel will be obsolete, we will have stargates to other universes. Universes where men still dominate, and then we will cleanse their universe too.

The absolutely brave stunningry of this show has me flabbergasted. Never in my mind would I have thought that anyone, ever, would conjure up the brunning stavery to write a story where a woman bests every and all men in every field, aspect and capacity with no effort whatsoever. This is so completely never seen before in the slightest that I am in complete and utter awe that someone FINALLY did it!
This truly is the novel Tolkien never wrote, because he had neither the talent nor the courage to do so. I am so happy that I finally have the privilege to see this masterful storytelling unfold before my eyes, and that I get to plead and apologize for it on my knees right afterwards because of having a privilege as a white male.

What baffles me the most is that the strategy to write cheap scripts on the level of a childrens book while countering every criticism with "You are just racists / sexists" is instrumentalizing anti-racism to guard their capitalistic agenda. I am not disappointed because of the show. It's amazon ... what was everybody expecting? A masterwork like The Fellowship of the Ring? Actually the early orcs during the second age were pale which is why they had such weakness to sunlight . The urukhai were darker skinned allowing them to run in sunlight. These are the third age orcs . Sauron was experimenting with orcs to make them more efficient fighting machines .
They look pale green here, though. The various orcs, and also the Uruks in the LOTR trilogy had a variety of skin colours. Big differences between Moria orcs and the variety of orcs in Mordor. In the Two Towers when we see the Uruks running in daylight with the two hobbits as captives, they halt as a bunch of orcs step out from behind an outcropping. The Uruks have mottled skin that looks dark blueish with dark brownish spots. In the commentary that accompanies the movie, it was said that their skin had been black initially, but that it was starting to break down because they’ve been in the sunlight. Also, their hair has gone from black to somewhat greyish. They used horse hair for the Uruks. That is the level of detail that the Peter Jackson trilogy had!
The best part is when Guyladriel uses the BFG10k to kill all the men, orcs and white walkers, destroy the Red Keep and sit on the Iron Throne. Totally loved it. 😂😂😂😂

Finally she actually kills 7 or 8 balrogs. They where wondering around in the forest so she just wiped them. So stunning and brave. I actually cried for joy the entire movie cause of her example.
