And to not cause an even bigger scandal, she had to "thank" him in front of the media for making her a national embarrassment. It's so sad that Akina was ambushed by this conference - she did not know what the topic of it will be. She was basicaly forced to apologize, where this cheating prick sits there and talks about 'supporting her', clearing his own image, and making look her unstable. Plus we know that he was living above his means on Akina's money, who was financing his expensive hobbies. We know he was still doing it even after she attempted suice. He was indebted to her for several tens of millions of yen. It's so sad and upsetting really. I was still in Japan when this happened but I wasn't well informed about what really transpired. How sad for Akina! And the questions she was being bombarded with were awful! She was graceful and sincere to the end. She did not have to do this, but she did anyway. Maybe to protect Kondo's career? At a most painful juncture of her life, she still came out to protect the person she love. I believe what she said that she wanted to be with the person she felt she was closest too and trusted, even at the point of death. You will only do this when you truly love. She also spoke the truth when she said she was a fool. Foolish maybe to love him. Glad she came back stronger after this incident. My highest respects to her.

The music industry, Kondo and the people from her familly that explored her destroyed her mental health, it's a miracle that she managed to survive the attempt and she's still alive nowadays (and even more that she continued to do music afther that before she went on full recovery).
