These radios are great just out of the box. The only thing I've noticed is that occasionally if you use them a lot in turquoise or blue display the blue LED tends to wear out faster than the other LED colors so I usually leave it on green all the time now. Every single radio I've ever gotten does 50 W FM and single sideband 25 watts AM.
Don't know how they were feeding this radio. But some of these new vehicles will float the charging system as low as 12.5 volts. That really kills your RF output.
This is very common guys , it has to do with your coax type , coax length, is the coax “tuned” , are you using a Bird meter or a Dosy , your power supply voltage , how low is your SWR and reflect ? All of these things combined will be a huge factor . Nice radios , 73’s Rooster
Some people just don’t get the difference. I talk to guys all the time and they have no idea the difference between average power and pep. Different meters show different outputs anyway. I bet he feels like a turd
@@glbaker5595 guess you weren't fast enough, fast enough, because I've probably sold over 100. Btw just because something is sold out, you can still see the price
95.967 CBRS transmitter power limits. (a) When transmitting amplitude modulated (AM) voice signals or frequency modulated (FM) voice signals, the mean carrier power must not exceed 4 Watts. (b) When transmitting single sideband (SSB) voice signals, the peak envelope power must not exceed 12 Watts.
And once again its user error. These peoplè need to learn how to properly install and operate radio equipment, instead of blaming the equipment all the time.
Ive had this radio for 6 years. I run it with a k40 antenna..love it
Brilliant camera work

Nulled coax i meant , but I said tuned
Hot radio for sure
Ni disapointment ! i have the CRt version and i would buy it again !! 73s
Could be he was using a pep meter without a battery. I don’t know if that would cause am to increase more than ssb.
I need one of those power supplies
How about getting the guy to check his wiring and power supply?
He had his meter on avg power 😑
Do the Dosy TC-3001-P measure average or pep wattage?
I can't get a straight answer from anyone, I was hoping that you could help.
@@Delta-five-five it tries to read peak but isn't a necessarily accurate reading

Anyone know what one of those any tones go for, I need something like that to go on one of my bikes,
If only there was a website where you could look up radios and maybe even purchase them. 🤷
I used to go there and look all the time but they were mostly out-of-stock, out of stock,
