Amen on the “I don’t want to have to entertain kids all day” I have 4 boys and we’ve always been huge on them figuring their day out. Playing independently. Grabbing something to snack on if they’re hungry. Not requiring ALL the attention. Self sustaining within boundaries. I love my boys, but momma has stuff to do! Everyday we set time aside for family time. Dinner times. Homeschooling. So they definitely get enough of me 💜
This is awful. You already homeschool them and keep them away from socializing with other kids. On top of that you basically expect them to feed and entertain themselves while you do what exactly? You people will never understand how your ignorant choices will impact your children for the rest of their lives.
@@nancyfarkas3592 except they are, and they’re only surrounded by certain kinds of people… usually only strictly religious people, so the ignorance and hate also is bred in them early, from doing that too.
Your “hot water pot” comment had me 😂🤣. As a Brit it is incomprehensible that a kettle is not a compulsory kitchen appliance. It’s as integral as a fridge, even more so than having an oven! Where else would we make all our tea 🫖 😂🤣 But it’s also so bloody cold most of the year we drink warm everything….coffee (try an Irish coffee ☕️ ☘️ might be right up your mum of 8, farm of plenty, always on the go, street 😉) , fruit tea, squash (cordial), chocolate ….we fill our hot water bottles with it. The good ole kettle IS the British backbone! There’s nothing we don’t refer/defer to a cup of tea or coffee first. So glad you now share our joy!
Came here looking for a kettle comment, totally agree, (also UK) but I was really looking for someone to mention using it for milk? I've never tried this, never been to anyone's house who happened to be currently using it for milk... Is it a thing I've missed???
I would definitely recommend getting a robot vacuum, has changed my life with keeping on top of dog hair. Still need to vacuum to get into every corner but now just vacuum once a week, and then a mop, as a daily robot vacuum switched on after breakfast keeps the floors pretty clean most of the week. Game changer.
I just wanted to comment that I really enjoy this video. I have eight kids at home still five grown. I have to admit the past when I watched your videos I felt like you were super mom always looking perfect and cooking wonderful meals and just a perfect mom basically ,which you probably are close LOL. But just unattainable for me so I really enjoy the fact that you’re using Swiss Miss Coco packets mac & cheese ,chicken nuggets etc.I can totally relate to all that even though I do like to cook but sometimes you just have to do the easy thing
I am learning the piano along side my almost 7 y.o. who decided he wanted to learn out of the blue almost a year ago. It is really fun learning to read music and everything that goes into playing an instrument.
The best hot chocolate I’ve found is 1/2 cup cocoa 1 cup powdered sugar And use that as a mix but usually make it with milk instead of water! Hope it helps! Super easy too.
I love your Videos. I just discovered your channel. I'm from Germany and I wished there would be houses like yours in Germany. I absolutely love the Kitchen. I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with our second child and I'm not allowed to work because of the strict maternity protection during covid. I'm watching your videos and reorganizing our house all day long. Your videos are very motivating. Thank you for sharing those! :)
Let me tell ya- Roomba vacuums are worth every penny! They’re great at getting under the furniture and picking up all the kid and dog hair. It’s definitely noticeable when we miss a day running it. We just pick up before bed and let it do the work while we sleep 😴 and wake up to a clean feeling home 😇
I love that you’re sitting at the table writing down your to do list. While I watch this intro video it seems like you’re processing everything out loud of your head. Cool and unique touch.
I love seeing just general videos as they remind me that we're all human and all have to do 'all the things' on a daily basis to keep house, look after kids, homeschool them (I homeschool my 6 year old here in Queensland, Australia, so nothing like what you have to do in this regard and I still find it challenging!) and just day-to-day basis stuff.
It made me smile to see Benji want to be with you a lot in this video- so cute! Also glad to see you split a package of hot chocolate between your kids, we do the same!!
Just finished reading you book and wanted to say I loved it so much! I knew I would since I love your channels and your videos and getting to know your family has been such a joy. But it really touched my heart. I found myself reaching for my bible to read some if the stories you referred to and it was just a blessing. Thank you so much for writing it and sharing your families story with us. Also I wanted to say that I love the music you use in your videos. I was watching part of this video with my soon 2 year old Noah and every time it cut to some music he was dancing along in his high chair and singing along. He also loves seeing the kids and all the animals when they appear in your videos. So all in all just a great big thanks for all that you give to and share with us!
Omg your little red curly dog blended into the your cognac color couch well so when he/she moved it strangled me! I didn’t realized the dog was there! 😂
Angela you came into my life today at just the right time.. I really needed some motivation and a relaxed feel to my day.. thank you! Between the music and watching you clean I was motivated to do the same.. on this stinking hot day in Australia 🇦🇺 🤩🤩😘
This is the first time I have stopped by here and I just adored this video and your crew. Thank you for sharing. I just posted my first day in the life video the other day. I’ll be coming back for more! :)
Loved the video ...just what I needed for some motivation!! Was so nice to see the kids playing about. Benjamin is growing up so fast ...loving him in his hoodie!!
You need a robot vacuum. My husband bought me one and with six kids we still vacuum every couple of days but it does help with the everyday dust collection.
I use the recipe on the side of the Hershey’s cocoa powder tin can and my kids love/loved it! You can easily add some heavy cream in place of some of the milk to be a bit more rich or caramel syrup , etc!
Best hot chocolate recipe that I perfected. Half milk and half heavy cream, or you could just use half and half, mix in a table spoon of cocoa powder and a tablespoon of sugar per cup and whisk it in. Heat it in sauce pan until it starts to steam but not boil. Whisk in 1/4 cup chocolate chips until melted and incorporated. Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Can top with whipped cream, cinnamon and caramel drizzle.
I couldn’t love your attitude to parenting more. I once got called into my child’s school because there was a blackberry in my son’s pocket after we’d been blackberry picking that morning and that was regarded as a concern for neglect. The world isn’t letting kids have fun or parents enjoy raising them. It’s so healthy watching your free range parenting and how content your kids are with it 🙌🏻 I sent you a DM on Instagram the other day actually - I’d love to watch a chatty video of how you bond/parent/deal with issues with preteens and teens, I’ve got 4 kids but feel lost with that stage recently!

And it is your practicing and playing the piano consistently that teaches your kids some important things - (1) THAT it is ok to not get something perfect the first time, (2) that even if you don't get something perfectly the first time that practicing it over and over (even when it is boring you to tears) will make it better all around, (3) that setting goals is important for you to grow as a person. Besides you will encourage your youngsters (especially Benjamin and Noah and any other little ones who are "hanging around" you when you practice) to love music. Eventually when it comes time for music lessons, try using the alfred series (I've taught 4 different series before finding the Alfred series - trust me, the kids like it and progress a LOT more smoothly!) (available through the Rainbow Resources catalog) - music is easier, more fun and my students liked it a lot more than some of the other series around - which meant that they practiced more, proceeded through the books faster and stayed with it a lot longer. Regardless, the main key is consistency in practicing and maybe striving to stretch a bit when ready (not before).
My father reads 100+ books a year! He is an amazing reader. And when it comes to Benji helping you, I count each time a child does not interrupt me as a help ;)
I was given a hot chocolate mix with handmade marshmallow kit from a high end chocolate boutique for Christmas and it was amazing. Oddly enough the mix only had powdered milk and small chunky bits of milk chocolate.

Aw Benjamin’s so grown up now I remember when he was still a little nugget asleep in his car seat on the kitchen table 🥰
My heart just melts over Benjamin. His sweet hands on your shoulder while you play the piano. He is growing so tall.
