0:43 Damn the Mariners can never seem to catch a break. They got a penalty when they weren't even playing
So this is the rarest penalty in the NFL, a penalty in the NFL applied over an MLB team 😆
5:03 The elusive palpably unfair act
Did not expect to see Tom Brady being strip sacked ruled an incomplete pass in a game other than the tuck rule game
I saw it in a Bears-Lions game a few years ago. I believe the rule has been changed
Also against the raiders too what a coincidence
@@dangeiger9796 wdym?
Yup pats been cheating since 01
@@brentfox6540 Wrong, the refs made their calls on their own, has nothing to do with cheating
I knew about the "pass inadvertently hitting a lineman is an illegal forward pass" rule because I was playing ESPN NFL 2K5 yesterday and literally just had that called on me. I was trying to get rid of the ball and accidentally hit Steelers center Jeff Hartings with the pass.
The wedge penalty is interesting because it's one of the earliest rules created to make football safer. In the early days, teams would lock arms and run the ball in "flying wedge" formations, which led to serious injuries.
Too bad; seems like it could be used on defense to stop the butt push.
Love seeing Ed Hochuli in these clips. The NFL really missed a golden opportunity not putting together an online special with Ed explaining the rules, especially the ones that don't get called super often or that seem kinda wonky with how they're worded.
Yes, sideline interference happened with the Seahawks a few weeks ago, but plenty of sideline interference penalties have been called in the NFL. This is referring to a touchdown being awarded due to the "palpably unfair act" as it is deemed in the rulebook. The grand majority of sideline interference penalties don't result in anything like that, but it is in the rulebook and could happen.
I think you mean the Mariners
@@romulusnr I caught that too
0:45 Seattle Mariners?
I love Pete Carrols reaction after receiving the flag
it was nearly the same reaction when I yellow carded a coach a couple months ago for sending their subs onto the field without waiting for me to signal them on 🤣🤣
5:14 this happened like two weeks ago with Seattle line coming in to block!
Do a vid of kickers/punters making plays.
Like Justin Tucker laying a dude out or Mason Crosby forcing a strip fumble on Minnesota
5:10 didnt the seahawks do this like 2 weeks ago
Why did all of these have Ed Hochuli lol
Lol, Ed was some kind of magnet for officiating weirdness
0:44 lol he said the Mariners instead of Seahawks
Can you do top 15 most satisfying (and some what depressing doinks)? pls
5:03 I mean it kinda did but wasn't enforced when some team earlier this year came off the bench to block before going back on the bench
man 99 was just practicing his dolphin dive
Day 1 of asking brick sports to make a “Funny nfl graphics part 9”
Well, it there’s a part 3 you can add today’s defensive delay of game penalty by the Colts.
Everyone knows the rarest rules that occur!
Pete Carrol coaches the Mariners now?
The first play in this video... I saw another video of a college football player who tried to replicate it but failed miserably, making himself look like a bonehead. The return man in that play first called for a fair catch at the two, then intentionally dropped the kick while he was still in bounds. Then he jumped out of bounds and tried to pick up the ball while it was still in bounds. Because he first touched the ball while he was in bounds, he was charged with a muffed kick, and his team was given possession at their 2-yard line. Their running back was tackled in the endzone for a safety on the next play.
0:17 the ball hit the end zone, it should have been called for a touchback. right?
No signal to kill the ball, when they wing their arms out in simple terms
I think an NFL player ran off the bench and threw a block after an INT
First
Second
There's something fallacious about a Rare Moments video of stuff that everyone's seen before.
The fact that everyone's seen it before doesn't make it not rare.
@@10Peter25 if a tree falls in the forest and millions of people listen to it over and over, how much sound does it make?
